Today I'm sharing 5 ways to use fineliners in your sketchbook. These are some drawing or doodle ideas that I often use with my fineliners and are a few more ways to fill your sketchbook.

Which page did you all like best? I'm torn between the doodle letter one and the watercolor myself:) I like making these sorts of videos because I know that many of us have supplies around that we'd like to get more use out. Hope this video gave your some ideas for your own sketchbooks:) Also feel free to suggestion any supply that you'd like to see me use in future sketchbook videos, so far gel pens and crayons are on the list!

It's actually a really good tutorial in my opinion. I enjoy when various things- drawings, painting, but even clothes or whole rooms- look aesthetic and it's how I see these methods. They're all great when a lovable artblock comes back. I especially like the first one, I need to try it out :).

You can do that technique with any water asked pen😀 Felt tip pens, fine liners . . Anything.

Thanks for making this video. I use fineliners a lot and I'm quite handy with them, but I didn't know that I can go over with water. So I will try that out🙌🏻 my favorite is the girl with the flowers in the hair

Glad you enjoyed the video Mike:) Going over the pens with water will work with any water based pen - I've be trying it with felt tip pens to blend them recently and that's been working nicely too.

It never occurred to me to use water with my fineliners... this is a brilliant tip! Thank you! Really looking forward to trying it. I especially liked how it worked with the blush on the face, and how you could water them for the flowers then draw details on after. Thanks for your hard work on this video, it’s made me feel inspired!

I rlly want a vid that shows you all you need to know about copic markers and how to use them and which journals are best for those. Oh I’d rlly apreciate that since I just got a 5 pack of copies and 2 mixed media journals! Please!!

I have a video on coloring skin with copic markers and I will make a video soon on blending. As for journals - I also have video where I talk about sketchbooks and which ones are best for markers but I would personally advise against using paper labelled as mixed media. Only because it tends to suck up more ink out of the markers:)

Copics are alcohol based and most normal markers are water based.

My favorites are the letter page and the water brushed page. This was a neat idea for a video thank you :) Fine liners on my desk usually just sit in a holder most of the time! I’ve only used them for shading or small details. I’ll definitely be spending more time with them now :)

Wow! these are excellent ideas. I use pens in a sketchbook by sketchibg a person in a dark color, behind them 2 people in a slightly lighter shade, then 3 people even lighter and eventually create a person pyramid, then fill the background in with flowers. : )

Well, I really like the watercolour technique, I knew my fineliners were water-based, but I wasn't sure how to apply that! I once had my coloured pencils in 2 cases - cool colours and warm colours. You could separate your pens in the cups, it would save time rummaging!! (Just my quick tip!) ☺
