As a new comer, here are a few things I wanna see: 1. For me I hope that instead of focusing on offensive skills, It would be nice to have more emphasis on survival skills. Like what you mentioned, we fight them on their turf and as a hunter we need to have a way to negate environmental hazards. Like the mantles. I never liked the rocksteady and temporal since my initial thought was mantles are their as a tool to negate certain hazard. If they bring underwater combat back then their should be a mantle that improves mobility underwater. 2. I would also like to see set bonuses. Not the once we have but quirky bonuses that represent the monsters they came from. It could be a good or bad like for example Lavasioth. Wearing 3 pieces gives you minor knock back resist but when hit by a fire attack or if you are in a hot area your defense will go down a bit. And to balance it the armor has good skills or slots. It was pretty annoying that only a handful of armor are good in World. 3. I hope they keep the option to change weapon movesets. Switch scroll is no for me since less is more imo. But to have a different playstyle for my favorite weapon is a god send for Rise.

I also think that there are so many other mammals that have great potential to draw ideas for more fanged beasts to make the monster more diverse looking!

My Top 5 wishes for MH6 1)- Crossplay between consoles and PC 2)- Mounting as the primary gimmick 3)- no more tedious endgame grinding mechanics 4)- A story that is better than 4U 5)- the return of more obscure monsters/frontier monsters (Ex- Monoblos, Yama Tsukami, Rukodiora, Pariapuria)

My number one is also to have underwater combat return. Not having underwater removes a whole ecosystem that we should be able to hunt in, and the sheer potential that is underwater combat and monsters, makes it even more excitable to imagine.

Oh 100%. Once again there are so many ideas with fight, monster, and environment designs that are just thrown into the trash with the disposal of Underwater combat. The team has had time to learn since then, and while they’ve certainly skirted around the problem with the swamp sections of the Wildspire Waste and with the Piscine Wyverns, it just ain’t the same.

Underwater would be legitimately be geeat if done right. But as shown with 3 it took significant development time which left us with few monsters and few maps. Im not saying I dont want it to return, i just find it unlikely.

- Crossplay - Non wyvern flagship - Monster variety - less returning monster(maybe only 20% or 30% of them) - Back of switch skill(no wirebug) - 16 player hub - A better seige - New endgame boss not returning like Fata/Amatsu will be more unique to series - Make the dog only for travel - No more birds its annoying in endgame Even I want a new weapon, I actually kinda want a new type of monster with unique skeleton unlike the others.

My personal wants are: Bring back having to hunt the monster , maybe even in a new way. I just like the idea of having to hunt the monster instead of just knowing where it is. New weapon, or frontier weapon brought back into the game. Switch skills for sure, they add so much to different weapon movesets. And honestly? No matter what we get ill probably be happy.

I'm definitely hoping for some more Frontier monsters. Rukodiora and Guanzorumu, for example, would bring a quality and unique experience to a hunt. Plus, with Ruko's control over magnetism, they could utilize that for armor or maybe even a style if they want to bring those back. Returning to the New World is definitely one of my hopes as well, as the place has so much potential post Iceborne. I'd be interested to see if the Ancient Civilization had a presence on the continent and how that might affect the story. Plus, if they bring underwater back, there's a ton of potential there. Imagine fighting Zorah while he travels under the sea.

Really good list. Would like all of those things. Water Combat is tricky though, but with the new expirience with verticallity, sliding, mounting etc. i guess it could be worth another shot. If not, i would be happy to get agnagtor, lagiacrus or a new form of a similar monster back, if needed only on land. And yes, ceadeus athmosphere and music is magically until this day. Generally fighting of monster of someting like lao-shan lung or jhen mohran would be a welcoming addition again.

For me, as similar as possible to Iceborne, but including some changes. 1 - No cut scene locks in MP, extremely aggravating and I’m sure not one person would argue against this. 2 - monster variety (types) 3 - new or removed gimmicks (underwater or something else). 4 - engaging story like 4U 5 - good weapon designs 6 - new weapon type(s) 7- re-work the clutch claw. I loved it besides the clunkiness, but make it so it doesn’t feel like it’s a must use, just an option.

I think now is a great time to try frontier if anyone is interested, I’ve been playing on a private server for a while and it’s incredibly fun. And it’s a new mh experience while we wait for the next game

the underwater combat was supposed to be released in world pre game but it was cut because world deadline. i can say with confidence that underwater combat could come back on mh 6

My top 5 wishes: 1) All damage boosting skills are removed. This way we can use armour as it should be used: as our defence. We can also counter build monsters instead of just running every damage skill vs everything. 2) A massively slower pace of combat and power level. I wanna go back to something like 3rd gen speed and power, maybe 2nd. Definitely nothing stronger than 4th gen. I'm sick of my hunter being a god and monsters having to one-shot in order to be a threat. This includes weapon movesets - I wanna go back to crit draw great sword, super fast lightweight sword and shield, modular bowgun etc. 3) Universal crossplay. Speaks for itself, it'd be nice to play with friends on different platforms. 4) Underwater combat. With a rework, this could be insanely good. It already worked pretty well in Tri, but with improvements it could be the perfect change of pace from regular hunts. 5) No gimmick outside of underwater and possibly 4U style mounting. I'm sick of how silly the gimmicks have gotten, whether it's using monsters like toys in rise or mantles that all but play the game for you in world. Back to basics is what I want, as you've probably picked up on from my other points.

BANGER VIDEO! I've made videos on some of the topics you've brought up in this video namely monster class representation, and underwater! Capcom is in the kitchen cooking up something great for us I'm sure since they learn from each titles and they take those lessons to created better and better games for use to enjoy. I would like some new weapons to fill gaps that the current weapon roster has yet to fill mostly fast blunt weapons. Either bring back and rework the tonfa or create a new knuckle type weapon like dual blades except blunt and with a different move set.

thigns i want for sure to be in next gen - underwater combat (with lagiacrus seatus and dire moralis) - lunagaron with maybe a new species or a devient (yes i love this ice puppy why did you ask?) - some new weapons and tonfa back (weapon from frontiers) beacause i want to do MUDA MUDA MUDA in monster hunter 6 - bring altura to canon games beacause its cool and also some more frontiers monsters - bring monoblos back - bring something similar to anomaly quests - new good elder dragon that helps human's - get new elder dragon lvl monsters that isnt replaced BY RAJANG ( really if rajang wasnt in rise i would expect garangolm to be an elder dragon lvl monster) - get some new and cool monsters that help out the hunter like the flash monster and the racoon taxi from world - DONT GET RID OF THE FOLLOWERS AND PALIMUTES beacause they are cool - get more focus on bioenergy beacause in world there was a lot about it and in rise there is kinda but i dont khow if quirio are meant to get bioenergy or what so i want something to focus on bio energy - bring elder fugen or utsichi back evan if they are only in backroud and have dialouge options it would be so cool - bring back the mamooth from faded 4 - bring back the best location in all of monster hunter primal forest what do you think about my opinion this i sall great and i still want all of them i mostly want new game to be a mix of rise iceborn frontiers and tri ultimate to be as good as posable

Man a game in more undiscovered areas in the new area or even a game in fonron would be amazing I would also want more uniqueness and quality on every monster new weapons, underwater combat rework, a good and fun endgame with satisfying progression (which imo 5th gen didnt have endgame progression in rise is too grindy with rewards that dont feel impactful until you finish the grind) and while in world it felt SUPER satisfying to get a rare deco it wasnt the most fun endgame to grind for decos, the monsters felt so fun to hunt but the deco system could have been better (like more control over the RNG) the game should be overall harder even low rank should be harder to get the noobs get used to the difficulty so we dont get a negative reaction if we ever get a fatlais/behemoth level hard more siege hunts but done good like the way they did safi was really good, maybe add upon that a way to change the element of the weapon by paying a mantel, a lot of other parts and a lot of money? so if ur luck is shit you can still get a kajjar level weapon of that you need, you only need to get lucky to get kajjar on the correct weapon type but if you do you can change the elem maybe? I want oils to comeback and should be able to be applied for all weapons but extra effective on sword and shield, like SnS should apply them faster and it lasts longer while other weapons you need to sheathe and it takes 5 secs to apply I want element to be king for max damage for most weapons while raw is a universal set for most weapons, I want status buffs/rework because very few people use them ok these were the ideas that are grounded now to the crazy ideas I want a darkness system like in the night it should be dark and some monsters should get a advantage or disadvantage depending if its dark or not, like nargacuga should be a bit faster and more aggressive in the night so maybe he is a threat equal to rathalos but in the night he is a LOT more dangerous I want new elder dragons designs to look a lot more creative and maybe even scary I want the devs to be even more creative! they are already super creative but I want them to explore the world of MH more! I want a good story these were a LOT of things and I dont expect all of them to come but hopefully a 2 or 3 come and I would be happy

I don't think Espinas was made e tiredly from scratch as They probably modified the existing model to make it. If they didn't. The model will look off. That could be a translation error.

I dont mind spiribirds as long as they are streamlined in a way similar to the scoutflies in World. Aka: when you do enought misions/recolect enought of them then you have then max out in a map at the begining of a quest. Rampages and the wivern riding arent probably going to reapear, at least i hope so. The clutch claw aswell as the old mounting sistem should reapear, albeth with significant changes. As it this both those mechanics, while serviceable, are boring on the long run. That probably needs some love. I hope that the new interchangable movesets for each weapon, aswell as some version of the cordospirit things (that is, in fact, a better version of the hunting arts) and the free form verticality of rise comes back. Not the scroll change, that i really don't see the point. I would love to have less rng. Both in talismans and decorations. Infucking hate that. I whant to be able to farm things with dedication and make the best things by bringing specific targeted materials, not rolling for them. On that note i would love an end game sistem that mixes the safijiiva sistem (ak: rolling for things with increased odds and targetting) with the qurioscrafting of rise if the rng is not completly removed. I would love to see the return of the turf wars and invading monsters of world. That was really epic. The follower sistem i think it's a perfect adition to the saga and i would love for it to continue. I wouldnt mind the return of underwater combat if they do it right this time. They need to speed up almost all the animations and make sure all weapons have adapted movesets that actually works. Finally, i wouldnt mind a new weapon. Something not transformable, because that niche its already covered, but whatever its fine.

My wishes for the next gen 1 a true open world same mobility and explorability as rise but have all biome on the same map simultaneously and have it as 1 large map 2 underwater combat I personally never played mh tri but I think it would add lots of diversity to monsters we can fight and how hunts can play in general specially if paired with number 1 of the list 3 new weapon type don't know what but I like the look of some in frontier like the tonfa and accelaxe from the mobile games

The whole idea of a flagship monster exists to sell the game. Something cool to put on the cover. So no, spiders or bugs will most likely never be flagship monsters.

Ignoring the subjectivity there of what's "cool", MH has the manpower and experience behind its teams to do whatever concept they want and do it well. Ahtal-Ka as a bug that is not only Elder level, but also a final boss (one of the highest regarded final bosses too) shows this point. I really don't see how the fact of it being a bug or spider should stop flagship potential, much less the whole idea of that entry with giving these underappreciated classifications love when we've had loads of strange concepts in the past that shouldn't have worked, yet did.

@@lolilikedragons3528Rise has these things called wirebugs which are these bugs you control that release a tensile thread to pull you through the air (they wanted to emphasize vertical exploration and combat). Think a short change Spiderman thread. Some people didn’t like them, because they prefer MH to be grounded and Rise have the player a lot of mobility that sometimes gave them a heavy advantage over monsters. They also feel like they let you speed through the environments to reach the monster (along with the dogs you can ride) rather than taking your time to get there. In addition, you can use wirebugs to make a quick recovery after being launched, instead of having to lie on the ground and wait for a safe chance to get up. Personally I think this was definitely a mistake on the part of the devs to include, but they did balance it a little by making monsters aggressive enough that recovering this way isn’t always the best option. Lastly, wirebugs are used to perform all kinds of special moves with your weapons called silkbind attacks. These attacks further emphasize the mobile combat of Rise and infamously many of them have high invincibility frames or act as low risk counterattacks. This has lead to some people scornfully comparing the game to faster action games like Devil May Cry and saying the “hunting” aspect of Monster Hunter has been stripped away. I disagree strongly with these reactions because much of the structure of MH combat with player movesets and monster behavior in Rise is still indisputably “Monster Hunter”, and I also do welcome experimentation in the series, but the gameplay is definitely faster and I can see why some people don’t like its flow. So in short, people who hated the clutch claw hated how forced you were to use its gimmick to get an edge in combat, and how slow things were if you didn’t. People who hate wirebugs hate the way they changed the flow and speed of combat and how it made Rise less punishing. There’s also a perception in the fandom that the first games of every generation have more grounded combat while the second games get more over the top and “anime”. So far this perception has been built only on the differences between 4U/GenU and World/Rise, so we’ll see if it holds. Personally, 4U’s combat feel is my favorite, but there’s a certain thrill to how much freedom I have in Rise that I can’t get in the other games.

One thing I hope for which many seem to disagree with is that wirebugs return in the next gen. Yeah yeah makes the game easier yadda yadda but no. It just gives the gameplay more fluidity and makes it feel less floaty. Maybe just have them as a mobility skill and mot for silkbind skills, but some form of universally applicable movement like wirebugs needs to be there. Or at least make dodge rolls worth a damn thing

What i am hoping for monster hunter 6 is for it to still take place in the new world! Have it more open world with multiple huge maps and multiple large monsters, more completely brand new monsters than old monsters, more fleshed out and interactable turf wars and monster behaviors, underwater combat with vast ocean and lake environments, underused monsters like gigginox, monoblos etc i would love to see return. More pseudo-wyverns, more fanged beasts, snake wyverns, insect, crustacean, amphibians, leviathans and maybe even a brand new type of monster called "flying beast"

Tbh i love the mysterious magical elements to monster hunter. There has always been an underlying magical system to the game. I dont like when ppl push for this super intense hyper realism. I prefer the middle ground with good believable realism coupled with the mysticism. This is why i disliked worlds effort to ground so many elders and make them seem less mysterious. World had alot of problems esp being very dry. Didnt like that and dont think its necessary. Mh has always had this climbing monster mountain at the base was more realistic monsters and as u climb it became more super natural and mysterious and harder to explain with the world shattering monsters i prefer it to stay this way and have this spectrum. I also love the extremism of frontier i think both have a place in mh and both are enjoyable.

I disagree with the NPC involvement. I ain't putting up the actual fight, dodgin, hammering away, being an absolut master of my weapon type and the games mechanics - just for some NPC schmuck to deliver an epic, acrobatic finishing blow in the cutscene.

Im not very far into the video, but oh lord in heaven i hope Frontier never gets continued. SO. MANY. MONSTERS. Are butt ugly worse versions of other monsters in mainline (like that ridiculous flaming Diablos) and the ones that srent that are just particle effect explosion apeshit monsters that completely detrsct from Monster Hunter's core identity. You look at a Rathalos and think "yeah, that might be able to exist", whoch is a philosophy that is applicable to damn near every mainline monster besides the highest of elders. Frontier, from what ive seen, has none of that. I could never support Frontier because of that, so I'd rather it stay to the waste basket of Capcom's freezer

I...don't really want Frontier monsters. The thing about MH as a series was that it is pseudo-sciency, yes, but biologically believable. Most of Frontier's monsters are too ridiculous. Like yeah, Elder dragon's are ridiculous too, but not on the same level as Frontier's momsters. If anything, I'd like a Frontier 2 so that they can be as ridiculous as they want, in a spin-off. Keep the mainline games a bit more grounded and "believable," and go as insane as you want in Spin-off. That'd be for the best, in my eyes. Everything else is a hard agree though!

Except most of Frontier's monsters do have everything explained, even the more "out there" ones. Frontier never really went all batshit insane until Zeniths rolled up to the party.

So far I have over 8000 hours in world and iceborne and I quit rise at hr7. I didn't like it at all and it reminded me of the handheld mh games that I can't stand. All I want is mh6 to be nothing like rise and give me my boy jho. And I only use one weapon type and I never do any multiplayer so a random idiot carts and screws my quest

Espanas was such a lame fight lol i wish they would lean more into the realistic vibe like world did and take more inspiration from real creatures like where is the giant snake type monster? more giant insects and the whole franchise needs to work more on exploration and the life within the maps world took a good step with some small creatures being eaten by the monsters etc ! rise really showed me how bored i get if the maps are just generic levels rather than deep jungles with hidden areas and quest to do within the areas ! and more focus on the hunting aspect or change the franchise name to monster fighter lol

I think MH will have to remove the quest system someday, but they’re gonna have to make a big in-universe justification so it’s gonna take some work

Do not make the game like Dark Souls, let it be it’s own thing. Quests can disappear and that’s fine, but it doesn’t have to be executed like Dark Souls.

@@brojakmate9872 right, but copying takes away from identity. Monster Hunter is a series that is very much it’s own thing. And don’t get me wrong, I love the Souls games I’ve played, including Elden Ring, but I don’t think MH should copy anything from it at all. What do you think they should copy from Souls? If you explain a bit more to me I might genuinely agree.
