Damn I think Taj's speech is the only jury speech in HISTORY to end with the finalists arguing with each other to the point where it made the juror stop their speech and sit right back down.
Honestly this should rank in the top 5 of all time who else pull that off nobody Taj aka part of the singing group SWV not only an underrated player but the greatest famous player ever
ONCE AGAIN FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK: every season leading up to All-Stars was different than every season that followed! The contestants from seasons 1-7 went to charity events together, had multiple reunion events together, and knew each other on a deep, personal level that players in today's seasons never will. This wasn't a bitter jury, this was a devastated jury that were deeply hurt by good friends and if Kathy's speech doesn't communicate that, I don't know what will.
@@jackjansen4704 He was a a hypocrite but what he did to Ethan wasn't the same. Lex and Ethan never had a pre game alliance in All Stars so there was no agreement that anyone expected to be held up
I think it's less that the people now wouldn't have those outside friendships and alliances but more that they seem to respect each other and the game more because of those friendships. Recent seasons have been dominated by this idea of game respecting game and those that play generally seem more aware of that than they did back then. I could be wrong but that's the general vibe I've been getting from a lot of players in recent seasons
I love that even KASS HERSELF was nodding along like "yeah... taking me is not only the more respectable move but also the move you really should have made" Like, THAT is someone who has a deep respect for the game of Survivor right there.
Kathy’s speech to Rob was genuinely touching. Unlike Lex being a hypocrite in his speech, she was actually being honest to him, and it makes sense since she had a mother/son relationship with Rob that dated back to Marquesas.
Lex wasn't being a hypocrite...how many freaking times do I have to explain to people that there never were any deals/alliances between Ethan & Lex in AS, so Lex never broke any promises when he voted Ethan out
That’s the thing people forget, Russell treated people badly. That’s why the jury hates him and doesn’t vote for him. Tony however, developed actual social bonds not just for strategy. And Tony actually isn’t a cocky douchebag to people when they’re gonna be voted out. Russell should take notes if he ever wants the title of sole survivor, and he should change his gameplay so it isn’t predictable.
I actually agree. Russel had zero social awareness. The thing is Russell would do anything including backstabbing to get to day 39, but couldn't even apologized to win the game. That's what blows me with Russell. Tony on the other hand, had a lot of similar elements like Russell, but he was able to apologize and own his mistakes. He made people laugh, he had great conversations, and was very pleasant at the Reunion. Tony even perfected his social game play at WaW. Unlike Russell, Tony knows this is a social game.
@@goosetheduck6610 J.T has said he's really manipulative and not at all how he gets edited. We've kind of seen that every time he plays too where he tries to pull something big.
Funniest part was that when it was Spencer's turn to face the jury, he got similar words thrown at him from Kass, who he called the biggest goat to ever play the game
the first 10 or so seasons were so raw and emotional, when someone betrayed you it really cut you deep, now it's all like you voted me out, good game. We will never be able to get back to those emotions again. Hopefully cbs will release all of the seasons on bluray

I will stand by the fact that Corrine's speech was too far. It was rude, harsh, and unnecessary. People love her for it for some reason. Imagine you were in Sugar's position?
yeah I love Corinne in general (check her hillarious podcasts on RHAP) but for me this went way too far as well. if I was at Sugar's place, I might end up jumping up and smacking Corinne in the face.
Upon reflection, Sugars attitude was not much better, and honestly I fail to see what about her made her a hero and Randy a villain. They were both equally horrible people. The only difference was Randy was open about how much he despised people, while Sugar hid behind this vale of pretending to care about her tribemates while making entitled decisions on who deserved her honesty at any given time based on painfully contrived outlooks on who was good and who was evil.
So this actually has literally nothing to do with what CORINNE said. Sugar might have been horrible, I don't really argue that. But she still did not deserve to have her dad brought up like that in front of everyone. @@roger_towny_jr
@@yaboi912 The point I'm trying to make is Corrine feelings are comming from an area of frustration from Sugar's delusional entitlement on who gets to decide whose good and who's evil. If Sugar is going to sit atop some pedestal and claim that Corrine is the villain, than by the Survivor gods, Corinne is going to BE a villain. Did Dawn disserve to be coersed into taking her teeth out? Did Missy disserved to be compared to a Wicked Step-mother in front of her real life daughter? Did Will disserve to be called a Dead Fish? Did Lil disserve to be called a shame to scout masters everywhere and that she should lose every single one of her badges? There is always going to be varying levels of pissed off jury's. If you make it to the end and have a one in 2 or 3 shot at a million freaking dollars at someone else's expense, be ready to pay for it. In Sugar's case, you get what you give. I sincerely doubt she would have been any more merciful if the roles were reversed.
@@heatherryan3969me too. The whole big deal they made about her swearing on her sons life was so fucking bizarre, especially when her own son said he didnt care. If Chris would have done that, no one would have batted an eye.
Tbf HvV was a good move if he didnt know who Russel was Like he wins the game if that move works lol But yeah GC is kinda trash but he did deserve the title unlike half the cast there
It wasn’t a jury speech, but the two greatest endings in history were Randy in Gabon and Caleb in Blood vs. Water. Randy broke the deadlock at the end and went out with, “All three of you kiss my ***.” And Caleb, his vote for Tyson was the best - “Go buy Rachel a house, marry her, and have a ton of babies. Congratulations, man.” I love Survivor. Thank you for posting these.
As much as I didn’t like how Tony played the game with him swearing on his family members, etc. I was happy when Spencer made that speech. Woo didn’t really do anything. Tony made big moves and played the game. No he didn’t do it the best way but he never stopped playing the game. I’m glad Tony won over Woo. He deserved it. I would have been disappointed if Woo ended up winning.
That speech you claim was necessary nearly cost Tony a jury vote, FYI. Kass has since been open about how she was so tempted to vote for Woo just to stick it to Spencer and all his grandstanding, and it looks like Spencer didn't learn his lesson the second time around, because the next time he gave a speech like that, it lost him every single jury vote up for grabs
@@NYChica23 Bro if Kass would have voted for Woo just because of Spencer's speech that would have been so petty. Then again Kass is a very petty person which is why Woo should have taken her over Tony. He would have without a doubt won the million over Kass.
@Lifted Sailboat Stephen did not think JT was a goat. He wanted JT out at F5, F4, F3 but he got immunity. He got rid of Coach and Taj over Erinn since they weren't willing to vote JT out, but Erinn was. Erinn was his goat he wanted for F2, plus the one who was willing to take Stephen and vote JT out if she won immunity.
YESSSS! Spencer! I love his speech as well. You put pretty much ALL of my favorites... assuming I know who's gonna be in the last few. Tony is such a good player and I'm so glad he won. He's to good, that if he played for a third time he would probably get voted off early again.
Tony is the equivalent of a video game that was hella fun the first time around, but has ZERO replay value. As seen in Game Changers, when he went on to have one of the most embarrassing flameouts in Survivor history.

Stephen pushed for Taj to go (and manipulated JT to go along with it, when in fact it was against JT's best interests since if either Stephen or Erinn win final immunity they are taking each other) for a simple reason. Taj said she would step down from final immunity and let Stephen and JT go to F2 together. Stephen did not want that, he knew he needed JT out to stand a shot at winning. He wanted someone who would fight with him to get rid of JT, and that was Erinn. Taj was just too non self interested for her own good.
Spencer's should be top five. "For someone like you, a student of the game, could you respect me if I took a goat like Kass to the final?" "Yes. As a student of the game, I would expect you to take a goat to the final." That single Q&A so perfectly sums up the two types of players in Survivor.
Isaac Turpin Oh same. She may have crossed the line a couple times, but she’s honest and doesn’t pretend to be someone she’s not. She’s pretty underrated, in my opinion.

I love Spencer as a player but his jury speech pisses me off. Whenever a jury member attempts to control the votes of other members it comes across as bullying. The way he treats Woo and the "Do this or you're an idiot" message to the jury is really annoying to me.
The he went on to commit suicide on his own game in Second Chances when he threatened to do the same thing all over again against Jeremy if he kept Wentwoth in the game over him. Whatever respect he had from the jury was instantly gone after that, and he officially turned himself into Jeremy's goat. "Congratulations Spencer. You played yourself." I love the guy too, and to be fair, he did make some valid points about Tony's game, bit there was a way to do it without insinuating that you point is all that matters and that other jurors don't have a right to their own perspective.
@@willbrock1962 I still wouldn't mind seeing him play a third time, but if he does, I sincerely believe it would do him some good to take some Fabio Pills, chill out, and for once just try to actually have FUN with this game he claims to love so much.

There are 2 types of Survivor fans: Those who love Corrine, and those who love Sugar. I'm happy to be part of the latter group. I'd rather put up with a lifetime of Sugar's tears than 1 day of Corrine's nasty, obnoxious, egotistical bitchiness.
And i am PROUD to be a part of the former. She made the crappy season a little more exciting and she was unapologetically herself. Even if thats not the type of person id be friends with in real life, at least she wasnt FAKE AS HELL the whole season. Good on her and I stan a nasty bitch.

Roger Towny Jr. True, but it was unnecessary on Chris’s part to lie and backstab her for no reason. He just wanted to hurt her for revenge it wasn’t strategic at all. Chris really isn’t that strong of a winner tbh.

Julie the overrated hypocritical bitch is the one who backstabbed Chris, and Chris never even backstabbed her. Secondly it was strategic. Julie was more of a jury threat than Twila or Eliza, and more of a threat to win final immunity than Scout or Twila. End of.

No, they didnt. I just rewatched it and that literally never happened plus SEVERAL jurors admonished her for her speech after on podcasts including Bob, Susie, Marcus, and Matty. She also has said she regrets is now that she is older. Just think of that.
