Todds Answer to Jean Robert is literally my favourite moment of any tribal council in the history of survivor and fully cemented why i thought and still think Todd is one of the greatest winners.
@@jpbproductions3872 only reason amanda was 3rd place and would've been 3rd place if it was a final 3 in Mircronesia is because she gets flustered so much and doesn't own up to any game moves she makes.
@@ohandthefracking you havent seen Kristie's speech in Australian survivor have you? FTC and TC really do make the difference, this girl was seen as a follower and had no votes locked into FTC but then she changed majority of jury's mind to win the season. It's probably one of the best speeches in Survivor.
@@zag285 dude i already said its LOCKED AND EVEN SPEECHES DO NOT MATTER im deadass serious. and not you of all people telling me about FTC speeches lmfao sit down
James always knows how to bring the funny character moments to Survivor...I still remember him being excited that he was no longer the dumbest player ever after Erik gave up his immunity to Natalie
@@NYChica23 Also the Jason vote out. He makes a surprised face when Jason doesn't play his idol and then laughs when Jason is the one voted out and he didn't even throw a vote on Jason.
I know and you could tell she voted for Denise by that smile and thank you. Denise literally was the only one that was honest. I forget the first bitches name but she just smiled and bullshitted, Scupin did a typical guy bullshitting to his wife, but Denise was brutally honest, apologized for how she handled a situation, showed remorse for her wrongful actions, but still stuck to her word, just that she should’ve handled it in a different way.
Damn Abi's facial expressions are so fierce and cold, it honestly scares me. She needs to come back for Survivor: Heroes vs Villains II as a villain for sure.
I'd rather see Angelina who actually has strategy. Abi is annoying, dramatic, toxic, and rude. She sucks at physical challenges and has zero strategy other than setting herself up as a goat. I would love to never see her again. Just my two cents.
"How does that resonate for you in the bedroom..." This would make my top ten final jury quotes EVER lol Edit: also Parvati saying "you're sexy" just proves the point that Parvati is STILL flirting.
@@williammcalpine2718 I like it personal, it brings out a bit of hate and hurt which i like to see. it's the jury member's last chance to have a dig at them and have the last word. i like it
@@williammcalpine2718 no It is supposed to make the episode not last as long so they can have more stratigising (which in recent times are bad, same reason with the intros.

@@alexaales7937 Katie's tribe in season 10 Palau did not loose a SINGE immunity + there was no swap, so the numbers where always unequal, and that lead to Katie to sit out most of challanges, was not really her fault tho.
@@rainersustinkins8377 yeah, what alexa doesn't realize i guess from maybe never seeing palau is they started off 9v9, and katie and tom's tribe literally only lost one member in a surprise double tribal before the merge, to the point there was no merge. stephenie just joined koror. by the end it was 8v2 so 6 people had to sit out every challenge at that point and instead of the normal "you can't sit out the same person back to back" for palau it eventually became "you can't have the same people DO back to back challenges" because there was numerically no possible way to not allow back to back sitouts, so yeah katie sat out pretty much everything once that numbers shift hit, and sat out pretty much half of the challenges before then.
And because the weakest player sat out they never went to tribal council pre-merge I don't think she should be admonished for that she played her part to help them dominate and her part was not being weakened the challenges even if that meant not partaking in the challenges
I agree, but as a fellow gay dude, I get that it was the early 2000s and all, but he COULD have dressed a little sharper for the final tribal council...
The best responses are framed as compliments to the non-finalists who are ultimately seeking some type of solace for not making it. Todd's repsonse is a classic example of this and showcases his social intelligence.
it was a great answer, but we gotta be real, no one remembers Genre Bear's speech for Todd's answer, they only remember it for Courtney absolutely roasting Genre Bear with "Did you win an immunity?"
Take Twila's comments and apply them to Amanda, she just "doesn't have it". Amanda sat at an FTC 2 games in a row and gave 2 terrible performances when she could have won both, she needed to stop being a passive little mouse and actually hold her ground, she was so afraid of conflict when both juries wanted her to challenge them, to show some damn integrity and she didn't do anything but sit there and squeak. What a damn shame.
Right!? And it sucks because Amanda was such a great player. I honestly think that Todd would've had this in the bag no matter what, just because his performance is so fucking godlike. But if she stood up proudly for herself and her moves in Micronesia, I honestly think she could've pulled the win. The vote was already close being 5-3 for Parvati. But yeah, I think Amanda totally could've won Micronesia.
Nels Danburg I thought she had the overwhelming advantage going into FTC in both China and Micronesia. Todd is not particularly likeable and she won more challenges. She could have swayed the Zhan Hu members who are all up in the air. In Micronesia, she had 3 votes but those votes are already confirmed for her since the 3 jurors hate Parv so much. But for her to lose Eliza’s vote? Amazingly bad.
@@macrisyjim7903 Yeah, exactly. She was more likable in the eyes of the jury than Todd or Parvati were, and looking back, I think she could've won either time but she just completely shut herself in at both FTC. Hell, if Todd hadn't worked Jean-Robert over as well as he did at the FTC, he then probably would've even voted for Courtney over her, that's how bad Amanda's performance was. Amanda was a great player, but when it came down to selling herself in the end, she just could never quite pull it off. And she did so again in Heroes Vs. Villains when she was on that reward with Danielle and Colby. Amanda gave Danielle back the idol clue she stole from her, the one thing that could've saved her from going next, which is what happened since she gave the clue back. But also because I do think both Todd and Parvati are better players than she is, as they're both easily top five winners of all time in my eyes.
We don’t talk about Vanuatu enough. Ami’s jury speech is easily one of my favorite speech and her exchange with Twila felt like a script almost like you couldn’t write this stuff. Love it
@@bigbuffguy9589 but it doesn't change that Chris's answer want good. Amy isn't the only one listening, every other jury member can also be swayed (something that Katie in S10 forgot when answering Janu xD)
Courtney didn’t beg or apologize, she came at his throat. “I won an immunity, did you?” All he did was basically say “plead your case” and she highlighted some reasons why. If anything, Todd was flattering him too, by calling him an extremely great strategic player.
Players that played only once and won tend to feel like they're underrated. Brian Heidik (asshole though he is), Kim Spradlin, Earl, Yul and yes Todd were all fantastic players who are never talked about because they never came back. On the other hand, Sandra, Parv, Hantz, Boston Rob, and Cirie are remembered because they kept coming back. Some of those people never even won in spite of playing multiple times and they're considered to be among the all-time greats over those that played once and won once.
Loving these videos! I do have one suggestion though. When you put the name of the person and their season, can you also put who they voted for. I can't remember all the votes and I think it's interesting to see, after they rip everyone apart, who they wanted to give a million dollars to
@@charlestoti2252 maybe because Denise didn't screwed Abi's game as much as Lisa/Skupin did . Also Lisa and Skupin made a mistake of taking Denise who is a likable person to take instead of Abi, who no one liked. It make sense for Abi to vote for someone who screwed her the least and wasn't making idiotic decisions.
Andrew Cunningham Same, Ami is in my Top Ten of all time. She’s probably the most complex and deep Villains in Survivor history. It’s a shame we haven’t seen her since Micronesia.
Funny how when David is talking to the jury about how Rob played the camera zooms in on his tribe when clearly he was referring to Rob's tribe! The only 1 on that tribe ballsy enough to take Rob out kept getting sent to redemption! Rob owned them
David's speech although not necessary is quite fair. The point of the game is to outwit outplay and outlast. Rob probably played the best game ever. Yes most of his team was willing to obey him but hey, you could put the same person in every season and get different results. He worked with what he got. Rob has played before, although a harsh player he's not a dick, and that got people to like him. He was able to form relationships with each of this team members strong enough to where they didn't even discuss making the big play of booting Rob once they got to the final 5 or 6. I get not everyone likes Boston Rob, but you gotta respect the game he played, he was in control of things for 90% of the game. Everything and everyone was on lock, and the majority did not mind it so he was able to get to the end as one of 2 returning players.
I love Ami and Twila’s exchange. I hate this overly forced strategic thing survivor has become and how people think being emotional makes a bad game to watch. It just does not make sense to me as a viewer.
Stephanie should have learned from Rob on all stars. It's one thing to get to the end it's another to get there and win over a majority on the jury. I personally hate that both lost the vote and I would have voted for both BUT we get to see an edited version of them so never know. This should be lesson number 1 for any new players JURY MANAGEMENT.
Here's hoping natalie tried again and actually asked parvati out for real. I couldn't tell if parv was into it bc the sexy comment may have just been to break the tension.
@@iLLBiLLsRoastBeats I personally see where you are coming from that it was a cast that was willing to work with him, but in my personal opinion he had complete and total control the entire game and that is the reason I think it’s the best game ever played, regardless of who he played against
Muhammed Autobahn Sue’s speech came from her emotions and how complex and dark her falling out with Kelly was. You should rewatch Borneo and focus on his complex Sue is and you’ll understand why her jury speech is nothing like David’s.
I don’t get why people hate on David Murphy’s speech. He told not one lie lol. Twila probably had the most honest answers of any FTC (except maybe Russell). And I 100% agree w/ Koby. Tom played an amazing game, but he couldn’t own up to it and hated on Ian for doing the same thing.
fiona marshall thank you for staying this!! Tom was great strategically honestly but I HATE how he shames Ian! I guess it worked out with his victory ... but I hate how he guilted Ian for saying a lie and then lying himself! As Scout says in Vanuatu, too much self-righteousness!
I'll tell you why I hate on David's speech. It wasn't so much what he said, but the manner in which he said it. I don't know about you, but his whole manner of speaking just came off as extremely smug and condescending
I can't stand David's speech cuz not only was it very condescending and obnoxiously douchey (like Spencer's) but Rob was gonna win anyway. Its not like without the speech Natalie was gonna somehow win its just so unneeded and yet another reason why Redemption Island is a godawful season
2:06 best survivor speech ever between both of them. The one asking questions was stomped and had nothing to say. Everyone lies in the game, so did the one asking the questions. She really tried to act hard with her nose up in the air but she failed epically! 😂
Cody is awesome. I named a world of warcraft character after his daughter and with that a contestant: Janu, had to spell it differently tho since that name was already taken :-). also had a a char named Vanuatu. Survivor is just everywhere :-)
Brant Phillips dude right. They woulda did the same thing to get to the final 3. Although the jury speaches are funny, i think some people are so bitter sometimes. give it to the person who deserves it, don’t give it to the other person because you don’t like the person who backstabbed you.. learn to forgive and get over that you didn’t make it.
Because survivor wasn't about backstabbing in the beginning. A tribe voted the weakest link in the very early seasons, so they could win in future games. They depend on each other to survive in the jungle/island and formed real bonds. Boston Rob was the first person to start using "strategy" and he backstabbed everyone to reach the end. He didn't want to win by challenging the strongest person and taking him out. He just wanted to be a snake and weasel through. In the earlier seasons, you have to prove your worth to the tribe, be strong in challenges and be smart in games (while being honest and true). People used to deliberate together and voted unanimously. The person being voted out would be informed and most times, they accept it resulting in no hard feelings. But Boston Rob took it to another level. In all-stars, it was the first time people got backstabbed HARD, so it was difficult for them to accept it. As the game goes on, it was less about trying to survive in the jungle but more about being a sly, deceiving person. While it makes interesting tv, the whole concept of survivor has changed from what it used to be in Season 1.
out means to try to do something more or better than another person when put in front of a word, so out disrespect isn’t a word, but it implies the meaning of trying to disrespect more than someone else.
