I work on Patrol ZD30's all the time. Under powered. I would love to put an OM606 into any car! Beautiful work. Mechanical engine...no ECU/Electronics...never break down...
I absolutely love your work. That is the proper engine and it's built insanely well. I'm not a fan of Nissan Patrol, but with this engine, it's a different case.

Ever since I stumbled across your videos and that beautiful true family capable off reader. I would love to have one and eventually plan on building one similar to yours. Ive been a diesel truck (think you call them lorrys in UK) mechanic for 30 years, and never owned a 4x4, I would absolutely rip an arm off to own a thing like this. But living in Denmark, would make it impossible due to shipping and stuff. Even if, it could never be registered or drive on the roads in Denmark due to our conservative rules and laws ... ☹ Great video, awesome car and mod ... absolutely love it. you need to upgrade the om606 to the absolute limits!!! bmw m57 is the preferred option for the most people cuz it has little bit more torque and they go well with the bulletproof drivetrain of the patrol. this platform just asks for more power! the limit of the stock patrol drivetrain is around 800-850nm so be sure to max it out cuz m57 could easily achieve those numbers without much effort, the m57 biturbo(272hp version) could easily achieve 850nm with only a hybrid turbo upgrade.
I’m not an advocate of big torque numbers, power is the real output of an engine. A high Torque figure generally just tells us an engine is making power lower in the rpm range.
1100nm from the 6bt for 3 years living up in cape york Queensland Australia and no issues. Towing 6m boats fully loaded for week long trip the 6bt didn't even flinch.
Unfortunately, I don't think this incredible truck is legal to import into my state. California has the most restrictive emission rules. Still, my dream is to transplant a om606 in my Discovery. Maybe I'll move if I win. It would be worth it!

Do not give it away keep it. I world have loved to have it, to show it off at the company a work at. The boss is a Toyota land cruiser finatic and he hates diesels. He ses Thad that are week. So ja would have loved to have it. Love your work on the om606 engines, keep up the good work
Been searching for a decent om605 without half the parts missing since last yr. Now come to the conclusion dpuk have them locked away for other mental 500bhp landy builds

A four cylinder pump on a six cylinder engine??? 🤣 You must be joking! That could give you correct injection on two cylinders (1+6, 2+5 or 3+4), 4 unconnected injectors, a massive fuel shower under your bonnet and absolutely zero power if even able to start! Don't even dream of it!
