It's time to hook up the propane line to the new Dometic fridge. I'll get it down through the cabinet floor and then in another video I will tie it to the main propane line. Patreon / cannedhamtrailers Website www.cannedhamtrailers.com
Larry, I know you don’t do enough gas to justify it, but the one piece flaring tools are so much easier if someone can afford it. I inherited mine from my Dad, he was a propane guy for 25 years. Brings back fond memories
Hi Larry! Looks like you are feeling better! I always learn something from your videos. Very interesting watching you bend that tubing. Thanks for sharing.
Nothing worse that trying to make things fit in tiny places. I worked on aircraft and it always seemed that some parts were built with an airplane around it. That camper looks awesome for being 63 years old which is my age too. Will you be selling this or is this for personal use?
This one belongs to a friend of mine and he's been waiting for it way too long. This trailer had a problem that required me to build it twice and he didn't want to put the money into it for that. So I did it for free just to see it get rescued. That's why it's taken so long. I do it in my spare time LOL...
Question: what is the newest canned ham ,that’s before they became toasters and what is the newest trailer that is still built with the same technique that is used on the canned hams? Wood construction with a metal wrap!
The canned ham shape started getting more of a square look with rounded forehead and rear from the late 50s to around 1965. In 1966, pretty much depending on the manufacturer, they were all going toaster model. So it was a gradual thing. The Modernistic era went from 1945 to 1965 and that has little to do with trailers. It was everything modern that was coming out at the time. Including the trailers. And suddenly all working families could afford a trailer, a washing machine, a phone and a car. It was one of the greatest eras in history.
Hello Larry, So lucky I found you a month ago. I just drove from Texas to California to pick up a 1965 Shasta 16-sc one owner. I have problem I cant fix. How to remove a Morphy-Richards (Astral)Frig. I cant find any screws in the floor or anywhere else. Help!!! I am @ wits end.I dont want to tear it up.Want to try to reuse.
There should be screws hidden behind little round plastic plugs on both edges of the fridge on the outside. You might have to remove trim to see them also. I am mostly familiar with newer fridges.
You are correct, they seem like higher end coaches. I heard they were HEAVILY insulated, I know one of their models was the riviera, in 1956 it came factory with a garbage disposal, balcony kitchen, automatic defrost fridge, walnut and ash interior, and more. The company was famous for its front kitchens and unique design in general, their slogan was Angelus, mobile homes of distinction.
