Excellent review, so glad to see a review where you give an update on how the watch has been holding up after use. So many watch reviews are just unboxings.
It’s good to see another woman wearing this watch. I have and wear it because it provides the features I need while working and just day to day. Having the timer, multiple time zones, connecting to the atomic clock when traveling, and the quality is superb. It is the perfect watch minus the step counter. Lol
hey thanks for this video i ende up pulling the trigger and bought it in december 2020. Im not the biggest gold guy but hearig yall talk about it convinved me. Over a year later it is now the only watch i ever wear. Great video
This video is exactly what I wanted to see. The main issue of wear seems to be on the clasp, where there are visible wear marks along its length in a few places. I wear my watches under long sleeves, so this is less of a concern, but still something to be aware of. The gold version has a really heavy, luxurious look which I think is great, and it suits your lady's style very well. The green bomber jacket goes really well with the watch. I feel it's something I'd wear for special occasions, or with a particular look or outfit. It would go great with brown leather or denim, as well as earth tones like tans, browns, creams, greens and reds. Yellow would make the gold seem extra yellow, though. It would also work with a simple black outfit with the watch and a gold necklace as accents, maybe gold buttons on a black jacket or gold buckles on a handbag. As a man, I would hesitate wearing it with a suit in a business situation, more likely I'd wear the steel version.
@@tententock Looking forward to it, especially wanting to know how the IP coating holds up at wear points and between the links. I have the blue version on resin coming in, and I'm thinking of getting a black bracelet for it, too.
I’m not into G-Shocks or even gold anything in general, but I’ve had this thing for a couple weeks now after watching this video, and it’s the most comfortable watch. I don’t know what it is about it that I find so fitting. Maybe I just have the perfect wrist size for it. I also think maybe it’s the toned-down gold color that makes it feel not so out of place with me. Then again, I haven’t been out in public with it since we are in quarantine-land, so maybe I would feel a little douchey or like an old man wearing it. Maybe not though. I chose the gold instead of the silver stainless steel because all my mechanical “more serious” watches are silver - this one feels more fun for what it is meant to be. I just like it for some reason even if it feels like I shouldn’t.... so weird.
Great pick of watch🤗🤗🤗, i like it too👍👍👍,cheap and thoughness is i want on my watch, and only g shock is most popular when it comes to that category 👍👍👍,long live g shock, more videos to come idol🤗🤗👍👍👍👍👍
Any problem with legibility? I haven't had good luck with negative displays. I think the gold g-shock (the c-3p0) looks good on her but I think I would favor the all black one too.
Awesome watch! I am thinking about getting the Red one. I am just worried about it being too big since it is a men's watch. I have a 5.5 " wrist I think. What wrist size does your wife have? It looks amazing on her.
This is the only gold watch (strap) I would wear, simply because it looks so classic and reminds me of my dad's old watch growing up. Having said that though, I would likely still end up buying the stainless steel silver colour because it's still classic and as you say, I won't look like a douchebag (at least here in NZ) and I wouldn't attract as much unwanted attention. I feel if you walked around at night down town with this on, it's like you're painting a pretty target on yourself. That said, you can take it off.
Wear this for special events and what not. And if out late nite in sketch place take it off lol. Take the lexus out in the weekends and the Toyota in the weekdays.
I have both and to be honest, the silver one attracts the same amount of attention because of its glossy finish lol. They're both fancy watches, you're going to attract attention regardless.
Thats what i thought at first until mine came in the mail it seems to have a copper tint in low light situations its really strange seems to keep the gold coating toned down and not to flashy...the mixed brushed and polished finishing seem to do all the shining
Some fading on the bracelet to a slightly more bronze color. Interestingly the case gold has held up better. Probably due to the thickness of the IP coating?
alright fuck it... ben looking at this watch just for a cool fun piece. Was at a store and they apparently are an AD mad had a small booth... bought it. It’s sick! I debated between the black or the stainless and decided gold was the way to go!
I like the concept of g shocks with metal bands, but my fear is that the links and clasp will have the same cheap feel that Seiko bracelets and other sub $1000 watches tend to have, can't stand them! I really want to like the silver model
No way. The full metal square bracelets have solid links, and the clasp pieces are milled from steel, not stamped/cast like the cheaper Seiko bracelets and clasps. The bracelet is like an original Seiko Monster bracelet, and the clasp is more like a Tag or Longines. It's definitely a good step above folded links and pressed clasps. See if you can find one in a shop, you'll be surprised.
Idk why ppl are so racist towards gold watches. It’s just a freaking color get over it. The watch looks amazing because of it. Met up with my friend other day for lunch he works for a big firm in Rockefeller Nyc and he was wearing this exact same watch. He looked so awesome in it that the next day I went down town SoHo to official G-Shock store and got me one too.
