I say this going by your name and profile pic but I would maybe lean toward gold because rose gold can tend to look more reddish and brassy on Asian skin which has a yellow undertone (is the case for me). See if you can find a rose gold watch to try on if you don’t already own one, it may work for you! The gold isn’t super loud, though. It’s really not bright and blingy.

@@joshswatches Thanks, I'm about to buy one which colour would you suggest please, it will be for everyday use. My concern is gold may be too yellow? Therefore rose better. Or am I wrong?

@@nolickspittle4753 Really depends on your personal style and I’d highly recommend also taking your skin tone into account. On me, the more pink-ish rose golds tends to look horrible because it either looks straight pink or makes my skin look green, but I’m Asian so yellow golds work really well. On really light-skinned white people, rose golds can make one look even more pale. African Americans are lucky as both generally look really great with their skintones. Would recommend going to a watch shop and trying on any yellow-gold tone watch and any rose-gold watch to see which works best for you.

I absolutely think you can! I would pair it with a suit that’s got some flair, though, and maybe do something else that’s loud and or fun like a bold tie or fashion sneakers to really carry the look through.

Hello! The full metal versions use a totally different, built-from-the-ground-up watch module from other resin squares, so unfortunately swaps must from another full metal watch to another. But I haven’t ruled out swapping my gold and silver internals! Cheers!

I wouldn’t, they’re lifetime pieces for me, even though I don’t wear them much I couldn’t not have them in my collection!

I don’t think it will “tarnish” the way real gold or brass would, it’s just a coating. Scratching and chipping though, possibly.

Hi! At least here in the US, these aren’t special in any way (unless you get the limited edition) and are readily available new at MSRP or below so no they don’t hold their value. Generally, I don’t think you should look at any watch as an investment that will provide you any kind of return. Watches are made to be worn and once they’re worn and scratched, unless it’s a rare G-Shock or hard to get Rolex or something, you’re not going to be able to sell it for any kind of big money.

I actually completely agree with you, but I think that’s exactly the point. Like any luxury item, it’s for those who have the disposable income to spend frivolously on an overpriced Casio without needing to feel like they’re getting any kind of value. What they’re buying is (relative) exclusivity.
