As many of you know, I majored in Actuarial Science (with a minor in Statistics) at the University of Waterloo. In order to get credit for my degree, I also had to get internship/co-op experience. So, through my program, I was actually able to get 2 actuarial internships. My first internship experience was at a Property & Casualty insurance company, while my second was at a Life insurance company. Both of these gave me valuable experience and insight into the actuarial world; and gave me further confirmation that this was the career I wanted to pursue.
In today’s video, I’ll be talking about all the projects I worked on as an actuarial intern. Many of the tasks I performed were really interesting and even fun! But there was one task that I absolutely hated doing.. So, stay tuned to learn what I had to do at my internships that I absolutely HATED. (Hint: I saved the worst for last!)
And, don't forget to comment on this video (or any video I release in January), to get a chance to win the Comment Contest! That's $250 towards your next actuarial exam!! You can find more details here: etchedactuarial.com/comment_c...
