@@AbsolBlogsPokemon its def worth the effort! I think the last mon I took the time to ribbon out was my Shiny Trubbish! I remember seeing the animation in some competitive battles, thinking "oh you're serious!" Very fun to see!

my guess is it remains shiny. i have a bit of background in pokemon romhacking, the way shinies work is the pokemon has to have a specific personality ID to be considered shiny, and any pokemon with the right personality ID (exact value depending on the OT's trainer ID/secret ID) is considered shiny. and i believe - tho i may be wrong - the way shiny locks work is that when the game creates a pokemon, if it's shiny locked, it will keep generating random personality IDs until it ends up with one that's guaranteed not to be shiny. so if you took out the hack that unlocks the shiny, you aren't modifying the save file, which still has a pokemon with the right personality ID to be shiny, so it's still shiny.

What I find interesting is that they completely scrapped this form entirely from the games after ORAS in favor of the cap Pikachus. I wish they gave it out as an event or something!

I've seen people hack in Pokeballs before. The most promising way without external devices is a way TalesOfTaylor accidentally set up while hunting Jirachi with the save corruption glitch. He ended up corrupting the save file by turning it off mid-save to the point where the flags for doing the starter battle were reset, so he was able to pick a starter a second time after already receiving Pokeballs

Yeah the thing about Taylor’s thing is to my knowledge it has not been reproduced yet but definitely using something to add pokeballs is a great method
