The more I think about it, the better the idea seems. If I do get one, I'll send a comment to you. Since your channel reminded me why I liked these things in the first place.
You did a really great job. I've owned three Corvairs. All three were Monzas, a 62, 63 and a 64 convertible. They were such an easy car to drive. No power steering but you could easily turn the wheel even to park them.
I've been following you on and off for quite a while now, and I think your car looks great. Sounds good too. I'm just glad to see that all the hard work you put into that car is paying off! I just bought a 65 Monza 4 door. It will be delivered (from Indiana to Phoenix) in 2-3 days. I haven't had a Corvair car since 2009! The Rampside is nice, but I want a car again. Your car is coming along nicely!
When I had a '61 3dr 700 I wanted a fold down rear seat in it. Make it easier to get all the stuff like speakers and rear window fan put into it. I don't do red but that interior does look good:) You did a really good job putting it back together. Hint: Push the clips all the way back in place before putting the door cranks back on. When positioned all you do is a quick hard push and they snap into position. That car looks brand new again.
Looks awesome; I bet your enjoying that new car smell. I do remember how it was before. Again nice job, & thanks for the update; I always enjoy your videos.
The '64 turned out awesome, a you tuber by the name of "The Jayhawker " has a '65 corvair that he removed the air conditioning from... if interested in putting air back in your '64 check with him and you might get a good deal, wouldn't hurt to ask 😊 thanks so much for sharing and as always "Howdy from Texas "!!
Air conditioning sure would be nice, especially how it got this summer here in Texas, 105 and I would drive in that heat. Don't know if 65 would fit but thank you for letting me know!
The radio does not work, as a shortcut to having music while I cruise. I found a vintage style bluetooth and Am/Fm Radio online and used velcro to stick it underneath stock radio!
You put the card board in front of the metal cross support. This is wrong plus the folds on each side have to go behind the rear door panels.. take it apart and do it all over again the right way
