Awesome video. I have a 09 g8 roller that I’m slowly gathering parts for to put together. Had one last year that i cammed but this one is getting trans and motor built. Video helped a bunch.
As always great vid! Even though I’m not a fan, I still watch your Honda swap content lol. I just picked up a L96/6L80e that I’m going to swap into my other car. I’m currently in the process of getting all of the parts for a VVT delete and cam swap.
Honda is gone buddy LOL... I decided to upgrade my shop instead new lift comes in soon main focus is on the G8 now. I don’t think this trans will last very long and I’ll be doing this all over.
consider keeping VVT homie. I have a Crate L96 full bolt on with the comp 189-400-13(it's in a 2500hd With level 2 CDT 6l90e and CDS ZL1 convetor). there is a few HP and torque available with the cam phasing.
Hi, Did you change the converter to a lower pressure like the 6l90e factory settings or you kept the higher pressure? Any tips for the converter change in the tune? Great video!
I also have a zl1 converter i plan on putting in and i was wondering should i still put it in because the stock converter is a 3 bolt and the zl1 is a 6 bolt
I’m sorry if I missed it, can you explain the easiest way to actually get the converter bolts loose from the flex plate, I’m just pulling my motor and was just trying to find the easiest way possible

Did you measure the distance between converter and flexplate before you bolted them together? I've seen guys send it and others shim to limit converter pullout. Not sure which way to go
I don’t believe I had to space mine at all… see how much pull out you have when you install. If it’s not too much you should be good or run some spacers if not.
Had you ever had any issues were the transmission and motor meet, I have a leak every time i use my G8, and they telling me it can be my transmission housing, when my car just sits in the drive way it does NOT leak but when I start driving it starts leaking. Please help thank you.
@@Adrenalinedrivenmedia I believe where the seem is. Where motor and transmission meet, rite in the bottom. They going to look at my car this Monday so let’s see what they tell me.

For me I had a bigger cam and it was wanting to push through the brakes at a stoplight. Also eventually with making more power you will blow through the stock converter.
If I brought my car to you with the converter how much to replace mine? I want a trans cooler instead if the one in the rad, and a camaro upgrade pan. I also have a HP tuner so it should be easy to reprogram. lmk, Thx bro.
It’s pretty easy man I could always walk you through it if you have space to do it. I’m just a self taught mechanic not saying it couldn’t be done if you needed it. Let me know thanks for the support as well.
