Wish I could give you another "like"-- I've had to watch this several times to reinstall my hook after cleaning. TY so much for keeping this video on youtube. 💕
I just know you've heard this time and again, but you're a life saver! Well, a great frustration and money saver at least. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
I adore your practical tips. I was struggling to get the bobbin case back in, so I looked up one of your videos (they are my go-to solutions) and while I knew about the shortcut method from other videos, it hasn't worked for me until you said "turn the flywheel!". Click! Thank you for your explanation !
Thank you so much! My bobbin was stuck and I have to drive about 50 miles to my dealer. You saved me time as I was able to get my bobbin unstuck by watch your video. Thank you Thank you !!
I have noticed dust bunnies behind the hook quite frequently, thanks for addressing that. Love, love, love your videos, so informative and useful. Thank you so much!!
Thank you so much for all the little maintenance tricks. Less aggravation whenever you are mindful of good care of a fine machine like Bernina. Keep those videos coming please. Love them.
I am having a horrible time inserting my bobbin case. Always inserts wrong. Spending hours trying to get it in right. I’ve tried all of your tricks. The last one was turning the hand wheel a little. It clicks in but when I put the bobbin in it won’t click in straight. Only spins around. I have a 770QE. I am thinking about taking it back and getting a new machine as I’m spending way too many hours trying to get the bobbin case in. I can’t throw it in like you and my Bernina dealer can it never works for me! Really want to love this machine but if I can’t get the bobbin case in right I can’t sew! Very disgusted! Any other suggestions?
I would like to see you guys work on Bernina deco 500 series with maintenance and most of all. How to put a spring on the needle bar crank rod. I just want some help without having to pay someone else to do the repairs
Another great video! Thank you Bernina Jeff for all your wonderful tips. I have one question, I am thinking about getting a Bernina 880 plus but heard people complain about the bobbin system. What do you think about the 880?
Hi Jeff Have you posted anything about adjusting the tension on the 770? I am having tension issues with free motion quilting and am trying to adjust the bobbin tension but your video on tension is not for the machines with the black bobbins and the hook is different on these machines. Would love some advice on this.
Adjusting bobbin tension on the black bobbin machines (excluding the 8 series) is not recommended. All I do is increase the upper tension to about 6 and test. I have gone up to 8 with some threads. 40 wt thread requires a 90/14 top stitch needle to have a good looking stitch.
