2001 Toyota Celica GT, I have about 2 inches of oil inside the spark plug chambers, I replaced the valve cover gasket including the tube seals, and my question is how do I get rid of the existing oil inside and then would it help if I used black high heat oil resistant gasket maker around the top of the combustion chambers?
Get paper towels and brake cleaner Spray the cleaner in the chamber after disconnecting the coil pack wires and put paper towels in to soak up but make sure you keep spark plugs in until soaked up and make sure you can remove the paper towels from the chamber
So…I got an oil change 2 weeks ago…last night, my car wouldn’t start. Was able to start it, and took it back to the place, and they said they tightened the drain plug. Now my car is having problems cranking…I’m wondering if that leak, would get on the spark plug causing the issue.
@@JTrippBeatz ended up getting a new car 😁. Through my research eventually landed on needing a high pressure fuel pump. Audi $800 labor fee, to remove the supercharger, just to get to the problem…I said I’m good, 105k miles was fun
WTH!!! Took my 2012 Honda pilot 2 weeks ago for normal servicing. We’ve always have had the service done. Last night my “check engine” light turns on and its flashing and the car is vibrating a little bit. Took back to the dealership this morning to check what it was. They were saying it may be a spark plug misfire. Something I thought may be about $500 dollars to fix turns out to be 5k to replace. There was one cylinder where the spark plug threads showed some residue of oil. They showed me the spark plugs and there is a little crust on the threads-of the spark plugs. IDK. With auto sales down, wouldn’t be surprised they are trying to make up the difference in other ways!! 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
@@BigstickNick yea dude, im in the same boat with my audi at 135k miles, repairs are more than the car is worth and i still owe on the car so i cant sell it. never again
