Shoot...my simple mods are front/back bumper, exhaust, intake, headers, wheels, and coilovers. Now interior wise...i say radio, black everything swap, seats and then steering wheel lol simple but expensive i guess 😂
That rear windshield wiper is super handy if you wake up early, especially if its foggy. I use mine almost every morning. The yellow film on the other hand is completely useless just like that intake lol, diggin the hood dampers tho!!
I got a kit to allow BT connectivity on the stock Bose system (it sounds great as is) and it cost about $140 from GTA car kits. Also allows BT calls. and keeps the car original. to each their own though, it can always be undone, I just wanted to save $$$.
Just picked up a 2006 Acura RSX Type S the other week. Loving the car so far! Pretty stock for now. Doing a brake upgrade and better tires soon. The stock brakes are just meh.
Rear windshield delete plug.., it depends where you live. I don't need that for my daily, as right now for example it's -19 I'm glad my windshield defrost works too
Thanks for the tips. My '05 Civic Coupe has been evolving into an RSX. I have the '05-'06 RSX-S wheels and brakes. RSX hubs, RSX bushings, RSX tie rods, RSX shifter, RSX 5-speed shift knob. Still have the D17A tho… I want to buy someone else's RSX when I go K-Series. LOL.
Thanks! Man, that's a tough one haha. Honestly I'd go with the civic if you plan on driving fast/tracking it, since it has a few better performance features stock such as it's RBC IM, and an LSD vs the stock open diff. on the RSX-S, as well as other stuff. With that being said, if you're in it for the unique factor - I'd go for the RSX, but I mean, at the end of the day you can get the RSX up to speed with the FA5, it'll just cost a little more money and time with bolt ons mods. Both are great cars though 👍
sick rsx! what's the thing directly below the shift knob that holds the shift boot up? I've recently put in a red stitched shift boot but I am currently holding it to my shift knob with glue haha
Not really, 05-06 makes a tiny bit more hp lol with the updated k20 engine. 02-04 models are still great, I see a lot of people do 05-06 front and rear end conversations on their 02-04 rsx's. You still have a type s haha, thats all that really matters lol because thats where the biggest difference is - a base model engine vs a type s. Also, engine mods are easier to find for a 02-04 type s lol at least in my experience.
So first I restored them lol then they faded again in like 6 months. Didn't wanna bother with the clear coat anymore so I bought a cheap aftermarket set off amazon.
I actually kinda just pulled things out myself lol, I have lots of radio installation experience lol. Pretty much there's 2 bolt under the radio that hold it in. There's a little plastic piece you can pop out right above your cup holders, and you get access to the 2 bolts there. Take them out, and pull the radio forward. Its only held in by plastic clips at this point. For wiring, just follow the colors in the manual you got with your double din and match them up with an aftermarket Honda/acura radio harness.
