@@mysticalmarowak2493 i think the biggest problem is the fact that every kid with a newly aquired drivers license and a couple of bucks can get his hands on a mustang and it's just too much power for them to handle......you can't just floor the damn thing. Here in europe where muscle cars in general are quite hard and expensive to come by you don't really see a single one crashing since they are mostly owned by old people who bought it as a weekend cruiser.
@@mattmatt9971 i like the old ones the New ones are over complicated and in my line of work i know a lot of mechanics and they hate bmw and mercedes the v10 from mercedes has a oíl ring in the valey that cost 3,00$ and 5,000G to change it lol
The reliability and resale value of German cars are horrendous. You can buy them for a fraction of their original cost after a few years mainly because they are just money pits. They are all cheap plastic now.The ones from the 80s and early 90s were decent because they were more mechanical and easier to fix.
I've had nothing but pure joy owning my S550 GT. A dead battery was the only issue in my 40 months of ownership. The next car I'm adding will be a Challenger 6.4L or Camaro 6.2L. Nothing more satisfying than the sound of a V8!
I know, sadly, there should be like some GEO Metro, or at least a Toyota Camry on here. Or to make it 100% accurate, this list should be changed to "All Hondas that are better than everything else" (Subtitle):'VTEC' Hah! ✌️😎
It largely depends if you where trying to keep up with maintenance and/or if you were it's first owner. The problem with japanese sport cars is that they ALWAYS get beat on by it's first or second owner, the third one always pays the price for the damage left by previous owners. This kinda applies to any sport car, but the Japanese ones are the cheapest by miles, so of course they are that much more attainable to those who don't know how to care them properly (aka, young drivers). Challenger R/T owner btw, just to make that clear.
@@DJAizakku I bought a Nissan 370 Z in 2009 brand new. I was the first owner of the car gave me nothing but problems. I never beat on it or ran it hard I just took it to and from work that was it. It would turn off , the car would shake , an axle broke randomly , when you turn it on it will turn off I would have to turn it on and then rev it to keep it tuned on which is ridiculous 🤣🤣. I kept up with all my maintenance I was so strict on making sure all my the maintenance & recommendations were done. And still problems . The steering wheel would lock randomly and I would have to get it towed to the dealer. Like it was a headache. Like sure I got compliments because the car looked nice but that was it...it just looked nice and it wasn’t really that fast to be honest the power is very weak. I ended up trading it in 2018 for a brand new dodge challenger scat pack and I’ve never had any issues with my scat pack best decision I ever made.
@@Shadow_of_Yharnam Damn bro, sounds like you actually went through a lot with that thing. I've heard about those problems before too but I never thought those would be too persistent. Sidenote, hope that scat has been a dream tho, I only have the 5.7 R/T in manual and to me, that's all I ever need.
Interesting: you list the Mustang here as one of the sports cars Smart people buy, and in another list it as the Worst that only Stupid people buy. Which is it?
911 GT3 Touring would be my choice! I'm not too hip on hairdryers and plumbing (turbos) cramped into that small engine space, and that 3.8 or 4.0 fine-tuned _naturally aspirated_ engine is an excellent choice @ 500+ HP, and I would prefer the touring version with more creature comforts with the auto "whale tail" because a good paved road is fine enough for me! I'm not going to be doing any racing, and I would already have power!
Great choice, I've owned a 991 GT3 RS and it's one of the best cars I've ever driven. Unfortunately COVID hit hard, and I had two sell my two favorite cars. It is what it is...
I'm torn on this. On one hand, yes, based on what I heard and research I've done on my own, the RCF, Mustang, Camaro, Corvette, 911 and Miata are solid cars. But on the other, Audi, Mercedes, BMW? I doubt it. And also, as a Challenger owner, he ain't kidding! It's way more reliable than you would think.
@@zetta6656 Actually unless there was a new announcement. That only goes for the hellcat. the scat and the other trims below are not being discontinued.
@@zetta6656 You can still get them after that, just not a new one. And since it would be a then discontinued car the value of it would probably sky rocket
Early 90s - mid 00's was simply the most epic era of Japanese automotive dream Sport cars. Any car you picked was simply awesome in its own way: Honda: NSX,CTR, ITR, S2K Nissan: 240SX, 300ZX, Sylvia, GTR Mazda: RX7, MX5 Toyota: MR2, Celica, Supra Subaru: WRX STi Mitsubishi: Lancer EVO and so many others I didn't list.. Any of these cars would put a smile on your face. I used to own an '04 S2K and I miss it dearly lol
@@ayeekoolaid520 civics get thrashed out so they don't have a great record. Same with a WRX. The mark 5 Supra has only been around a couple of years so can't really call it reliable. But it does have a reliable BMW engine.
this is a pretty badly composed list if you ask me.....in most cases the reliability is connected to the reliability of the engine and not all trims of one car are equally reliable- this is especially true with BMW cars where the reliability greatly varies from trim to trim depending on the engine option- the best example that popped to my mind is the E39 5 series- inline 6 models are pretty reliable while V8 models have timing chain issues.......if you make a list like this it needs to be more precise so that the viewers get a realistic presentation abut the reliability
Both my sister's had Integra's the older car was more reliable than the newer one. I drove one of them once. It was fast definitely a girls car though.
My 94 GSR Integra was pretty damn quick, especially in the twisty's, because it handled like a dream. Plus its VTEC could sing comfortably all day at 8k rpms!
@Justen G i agree i had one of the older ones it ran good an could be considered quick compared to other NA cars from the time..but yea def not fast..i have a 17wrx with 330whp an i dont consider it "fast" but its def gittn starting to get their🤟
The idea of a girls car needs to die off. I dunno much about the integras but all I can say is people have different preferences. Anyone can say any car is a girl’s car, don’t make it true.
So he calls the Camaro and the mustang a death trap on Wheels a couple years ago but now they're the most reliable cars on the market but of course the Challenger takes the Cake because he drives that
You want to talk about reliable sports cars, go back 15 or 20 years. Talk about those cars. Like a 2001 Porsche Boxster S. PHENOMENAL CAR... Or even an '03-05 base Boxster with the stick shift, upgraded base engine has 225 horse, great little car.
I mean it makes sense that a Camaro and a mustang would make the list, but a challenger? How the heck is that thing evening reliable?! Plus it is a dodge!
The Challenger is one of the few Chrysler products that is reliable because of the Hemi V8. The big problem with Chrysler is Fiat's ownership. Like with Fiat, they use cheap parts in a lot of places. Chrysler was much better off on their own.
@@rjs1674 I heard the Dodge Challenger has tons of oil leaks, the electrical system is really bad and can be hacked because of its power steering and has wifi which can be hacked, the thing tends to catch on fire due to overheating radiators and such, it has also gotten horrible safety ratings in some terms
@@nomcred reality bruh . I wirkd with doctors and my wife , my sister and my sister in law and dad are all doctors And lemme tell u they wd debunk joe back to 1700s
I started with a bmw 335i, giving a teenager let alone a 16 year old any more power than a bone stock N55 is stupid, I almost wrecked that thing on the daily and had zero respect for it, it pains me to think I was that wreckless with one of the most adored cars I love… summary is, give your kid a fucking Corolla please lol
Agreed. Ive owned one almost 2 years now. I discovered it by accident while looking for a Mustang GT. I'm so glad I went with Lexus! It's not as fast as the newer automatic Mustangs but it's way more reliable and well built. I'm very happy with my choice!
