At age 60. 6’ 1”. 250 lbs - started eating ketogenic diet & one meal a day + walked 8 miles every other day = lost 60 lbs, best blood test results ever, stopped 7 medications. Many say how much younger I look. Age 62 next week. I no longer live to eat, I eat to live.

Awesome. I am 65 and and also 6’1..and have hovered around 230 lbs for every it seems. I eat mostly vegetarian fare and also just 1 x a day. I avoid carbohydrates and haven’t had an alcoholic drink in perhaps 15 years. My blood pressure is 117 / 75. My question would be…how did you manage to get through a plateau you may have reached at some point..to break through down to 190 lbs. I am well aware of how disciplined you must have been…but if there is a advice you can share in this area…I along with others would appreciate it. Best!

@@zeroceiling Discipline is important. The big thing for me is walking 8 miles every other day… it took about a month to build up to that. My eating…I don’t eat sugar, bread, pasta, rice…Daily I drink an Electrolyte slushy (12 oz of lime infused water: 30 cal, 1 scoop electrolyte power: 0 cal, 1 tablespoon MCT Oil: 100 cal, 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar: 0 cal, 12 oz ice:0 cal. Blend all ingredients) I chew 7 tablets of nutritional yeast (great source of vitamin B and helps me tremendously with anxiety): 38 cal, 24 oz coffee: 7 cal., 1 oz raw pecans/walnuts 200 cal, Big A$$ salad (142 grams of red, orange, yellow bell peppers: 44 cal., 1 cup broccoli florets: 31 cal., 219 grams cucumber: 26 cal., 5 shaved brussel sprouts: 34 cal., 85 grams blueberries/blackberries/raspberries (which ever is best price): 48 cal., 280 grams of portobello mushrooms: 70 cal., 153 grams baby spring mix lettuce: 36 cal., 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil: 357 cal., 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar: 28 cal., 14 oz. 0ne pound Grass feed ground beef: 929 cal. Total cal. 1,976. The only thing that changes day-to day are my proteins eggs, salmon, sardines, herring and occasional roasted chicken thighs/legs, roasted pork shoulder (boston butt). I eat like this consistently and walk every other day. I also take D3, Zinc, Magnesium. The electrolyte powder i use has 120mg magnesium citrate, 75mg calcium lactate, 60mg chloride/40mg sodium from pink Himalayan salt, 1,000mg potassium citrate (potassium is so important since most people are deficient. True Confessions: 2-3 days a month I will “food sin” and then I forgive myself.

I'll chime in here too. You can't just "avoid carbs". That's not avoiding anything. You have to commit and go all in. There are lots of Keto channels out there to check in on. A few I like are Dr Eric Berg, Thomas Delauer, and Dr Boz. I dropped 50 myself (54yo 6-0) and am in the 190-200 lbs range. William has a good menu there. Taking MCT oil definitely helps get over the keto flu too.

I can recommend a full size mirror. I recently got myself one and now I compared two of my jeans. Same brand, model, size and fit. A slight difference when seen from above was now a big difference in the mirror. Only one pair is wearable in public.

I Am so glad that I came across your channel, I just wish that I had done it sooner. Thank you for looking out for a seemingly forgotten demographic of our society. I also want to express my gratitude for reminding today's gentlemen that manners are important; the language/gestures we use are at east as noticeable as the actions we take. My father and grandfathers gave me the following advise on being "A Distinguished Gentleman." 1- Being rude is never a good look. Even when being harsh or stern is called for there is never a reason to be rude. 2- Possessing and wearing a decent time-piece will never count a against you. 3- If your shoes aren't cared for you might as well not wear any. 4- If you don't like your smile, chuckle or laugh instead.

Invest in footwear is vital. I spent £200+ on pair of brogues 8 years ago. I look after them and always get complimented for them. Plus get a good tailor that you trust to do alterations. If i buy a nice shirt , jacket or trousers i ususally factor 10% into the price for alterations. Even inexpensive garments can look great if they fit really well 😊

If you find the right companies that make quality shoes, they should be comfortable no matter how dressy they look. That is what surprised me when I started buying more expensive shoes. I no longer fear "what if they're uncomfortable and I never want to wear them?" I watched many, many shoe videos, learned about construction methods, etc. Shortcut: Shoes sold at places like Nordstrom are made for looks. Stay away. If you buy a shoe made by Carmina or Allen Edmonds you are paying for quality not a name like Gucci and will get a much better shoe for the same price.

Great job covering the basic necessities! One thing that helped me with understanding the importance of fit was getting a full length mirror. I know you have covered that in at least one of your previous videos, but in case anyone missed it, do yourself a favor, get a full length mirror. We all should be checking ourselves before we walk out the door and do periodic reviews of our closets to determine if items need to be tailored or if they just won't fit.

In addition to coordination and matching accessories, pick colors that look good next to one’s skin. Warmer or cooler shades will naturally look better on a person depending upon their undertones. This applies to yellow gold jewelry versus silver/white gold too.

I do not understand why so many men have an aversion to pastels especially in warm seasons or tropical locations. When I worked selling menswear, God forbid I suggested pink! I live in a New Jersey coastal resort town. Pink trowsers or shorts look absolutely smashing with a sea mist Thai silk shirt or blue tone tropicals, as long as the pattern is tasteful and not overly busy or too big. I am 72 I train dogs for a living and sing as well. While it takes some practice, I look great going full on grunge while training dogs. If you follow the basics of color coordination, you can dress outside of the box. Duct Tape wrapped around your hand sticky side out is a great dog hair remover.

7:47 I’ve been watching your videos on RU-vid for a few months. I’m 67 and widowed last year after 45 years with my wife. I’m not looking for a partner because I’m still in love with her. I’ve lost 70 pounds so far in 2023, and a total of 170 over a period of years. I had to buy new clothes so these videos were timely. Your advice has helped me revamp my entire wardrobe: shoes, belts, jeans and trousers, shirts, jackets, everything. I bought the Brio trimmer and nose hair trimmer, and the skin care stuff you use. All these changes have ramped up my self confidence 1000%. Thank you for everything you’re doing. Keep it up!

I would be much more conservative in shape and form, whilst opting for much more extravagance in color. I think classic style also needs elements of personality, taste and feel. I prefer mid to high rise pants with ample room for movement. Shirts and jackets ought to be tailored, preferably, but I have not yet gone so far. Age 53.

The way I take care of myself more really about how I pride in my appearance even though it was never poor anyway was when I got into fragrances in a big way,I started looking at myself more thinking about how I looked the clothes that a wear etc but more about my personal grooming,no point in having one part of your game that’s on point but let down by the rest! We only get one chance at first impressions from the way that we look to the way that we smell & women notice this far more than most men realise,especially the personal hygiene eyebrows nose & ear hair that most guys neglect thinking no one notices but they are so wrong! The biggest thing on first impressions I think is how well smell a good fragrance is priceless!

Not a paid response, but I did check out the Anson belts including the sizing video. Ingenious idea being able to DIY the size. I’ve always hated buying belts because of the inconsistent sizing.

Two things I notice almost immediately … SHOES … are they polished? Are the heels worn down? Are sneakers dirty/scuffed up? Secondly when I shake your hand or watch you use your hands in a presentation /signing of documents or charge receipt … are your fingernails manicured? Are you a mail biter? Do you have overgrown cuticles? A bi-monthly manicure would take care of that. 😉👍🏻. And while you’re there, opt in for a basic pedicure to get rid of those calluses and build up of dead skin on your heels.

T-Shirt or no T-Shirt? I notice you do not appear to wear t-shirts under your outer shirt. I spent time in the military and became accustom to always wearing a t-shirt under my outer shirt. I also live in a warmer climate and find wearing a t-shirt (sleeved) keeps any sweat from bleeding through my outer shirt. What are your thoughts around t-shirts?

Love those ratchet style belts for flexibility. How is the comfort level with yours?I have several from another brands and sometimes feel the buckle or experience slight surface irritation or discomfort where the buckle contacts the waist. One of the brands has a sharper edge on the buckle and I sometimes feel it when sitting. Not so with the other one where the buckle edge is more rounded over.

That sounds a tad bit like fat shaming. Big guys can look quite well put together. The mens fashion industry has to provide better choices for big guys. Quite often, the better designers overlook big guys... so they are forced to choose less flattering clothes. There is the Bear subcommunity among gay men. These guys know how to dress, even when doing the flannel plad shirt and Livis 501 button fly thing!

I think the men with long, uncut beards are setting themselves up for discrimination. I have had two co-workers from different jobs that had obscenely long beards. The first beard went probably about halfway down his torso. I don't see how they can expect to not be seen as odd. The one I work with now has a very relaxed personality, yet the beard is this huge mess. I do not accept without bias unless it is a case with explanation, like Alaska mountain man, left on an island, or just some situation to explain it. I am at a loss to comprehend such appearance in public society.
