The first one can be avoided by just loading back a save, losing once, and then redoing the whole thing. Unless it also programmed in a way to detect that you just so happened to lose one roll before the 20 roll limit.

Given the recent videos I can't help but feel that someone recently started playing Jade Empire again recently.

If I recall correctly, some of these, like the fable frying pan and the dungeon master's ire one also trigger if you figure it out without collecting all the clues (because the game only checks the "has found all the clues?" flag). Fable at least, powers up the pan a little for each clue you find, but I think Prey had a pass/fail thing (so, if you find three digits, but brute force the fourth, you still get the DM's Ire)

Undertale does this with the "dirty hacker" ending, which isn't as much of an ending as it is Sans breaking the fourth wall to roast you for getting to the end without enough flags in place for the game to know which actual ending to give you

I always liked how in Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines, if you use cheats during character creation to max out all your stats from the get-go Smiling Jack will call you cheater and make you go back and redo your character. But only if you max out everything.

In Old school runescape, if you bring all the stuff in your inventory you need for "Doric quest" before talking to him and accepting the quest. Your character will say something like "hmmm with all the many items I could pick up, I brought you the ones you need and in exact quantity, isn't that an unlikely coincidence?" Edit: it also does it when you have the beads before the ''imp catcher'' quest and when you have 28 balls of wool for the ''sheep shear'' quest

When you get to the last one and get into this city that was your destination, the game no longer lets you do it, unless you go all the way back to when you entered the city

In Animal Crossing, if you hard reset your game by turning off the console (commonly done to save scum), Resetti, a very angry mole, will greet you when you load up the game again. His lectures would get longer the more times you reset the game and he'd make you essentially write out lines as punishment if you were a repeat offender.

I love the deathstar, it is truly hellish, as it must be so much worse to just forever lose small bits of your creation in stead of it just removing one big chunk and then going away again. Idk thats what i think at least.

In Tomb Raider 2 & Tomb Raider 3, attempting to use the version of the all weapons or level skip cheats from the previous game results in Lara exploding. In the Marathon trilogy, cheating to the exit terminal (hard to do since there’s no noclip code for some stupid reason) before you’re meant to get there has Durandal or whoever else you’re working for at the time chew you out on it. In the Marathon 2 map curiouser and curiouser, the only thing between you and the exit is a pair of locked doors. Get past them without opening them and Durandal says “that’s cool how you just walked through that wall, but I still won’t let you leave.” Pro Pinball Timeshock, due to being an accurate pinball simulation, has a tilt sensor for when you nudge the table too much. Unlike other examples, you can turn it off in the operator’s menu. It won’t help you much if you do, but you still need it. Doom 3 has the game commend you but otherwise do nothing if you try to use classic Doom cheat codes. And finally, the retail remake of The Stanley Parable has the serious room.

One of my favorites comes from Turok 2: Seeds of Evil. If you activate cheats in that game the blue alien lady wil pepper you with disappointed comments like "I hope you are proud of yourself."

A good one you guys missed is, if anyone has ever played the video game True Lies on the SNES based off the 1994 movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Well, if you turn on the invincibility cheat and when you reach the dark subway level, if you get hit the train, you won’t be killed of course but then the bad guy Aziz’s dialogue will say, “It’s lucky you’re a cheat Harry! lol

oh god, i remember doing the " save / load " cheat in Harvest moon DS when in the mines to try and get as low as possible with finding the holes to fall in to drop down before you run out of energy, and it ends up completely fucking up your game. like there are so many glitches and it crashes and becomes corrupted.
