7000 steps shooting with the Ricoh GXR M Mount & Voigtlander 40mm f1.4 around Kota Kinabalu. Unfortunately the rain came too soon so I had to end the photowalk.

Skyler...I have to use the external viewfinder to focus with the M module. I can't see the LCD well enough to focus. Do you just use the LCD? Must be my 69 year old eyes! Great discussion! I liked your shot of the umbrella person through rainy window!

Hi Frank! Thanks for dropping by. There are 2 types of focus assist, I tend to use the mode 1 then with focus magnifier when needed. But yes, if familiar with zone focusing, that is another great technique to speed up the shooting process! I use the LCD myself, only the viewfinder when I don't want to draw too much attention.

Hey, just posted a new video on shooting with the VF-2 viewfinder. I think it works pretty well considering it has diopter should you need it.

Thank you, just got the module but have an adaptor to mount my last LEICA R lens on it. 21mm f4. Getting a Nikon F lens adapter. Have a Voightlander 25mm Skopar from my Bessa L, too but no LTM to M adapter. Like your stills!

I think with practice, I could use zone focusing via aperture and distance scale on the lens and shoot at f8.

Thanks for sharing this. Very interested the GXR + Leica Module. You you have the EVF /VF-2 and do you find it easier to focus with that vs. the big screen in the body?

I had to keep 2 copies just to make sure i can still shoot with this camera at least for the next 5-10 years haha. Thank you for the kind words!

@@SkylerLetsDoThis Just get a GXR + A12 on my hands, still waiting for the VF-2 from Japan. Everything looks decent so far. But the 4:3 RAW image is always 640x480. Don't know if that's normal (still looks good after Lightroom though)

My settings seems to work just fine, I checked my older files as well and they are all good. I save both RAW and JPEGs all the time with JPEGs at highest quality. What settings are you at?

@@SkylerLetsDoThis I suppose this is just Windows stuff. I use JPEG + RAW as well, yet in Windows photo viewer the Raws' resolution becomes supper small. After tried some different image viewers, I can 90% sure it's just Windows. Thanks for checking it out !
