I have the same Puch with almost all the same parts as on the video but instead of a ''circuit'' exhaust or ''krulpijp'' as we call them here in the Netherlands I put a Homoet 6p on it so it is more quiet. nice video love these old mopeds especially Puch Maxi , Macho, N , 2 speed
i am really amazed that this puch was able to reach 32 mph with nearly stock setup omg :)) my puch did first reach those 32mph when i put on airsal cylinder kit and sport exhaust and air filter, 15mm carb, so i am really amazed about the stock topspeed , must be a really good stock cylinder kit and a really well adjusted carb you had on it :)) greetings from denmark , hoping to see more videos with this moped in future :)
emiholm7 I am definitely going to make more videos with it soon hopefully. I’m thinking it helped that it didn’t have the stock air box on it, so maybe the extra air flow and adjusted carb helped it reach a faster top speed
My Puch did 55 mph. A delorto carb and sprocket changes along with a cut down chamber exhaust. Remove front fender, remove pedals, cut rear fender, cafe z bars, remove gasket between jug and head to increase compression. Bad ass.
Good job! I love your guy's project! It's hard to find one around here (usa) thats in that great of condition. i got contacts in the Netherlands but they don't want to ship parts. wish this kind of moped was more available :)
I used a 1mm base gasket my puch 70cc runs the best use a 15mm intake and 15mm bing runs realy good but they won't last running them wide open i usely run mine around 30mph or 32mm
Did you follow a guide or instructions anywhere for the install? Can't find any online and want to pull trig on the treatland 70cc kit. Where'd you get your kit?
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bry8nRoub6A.html I watched the video above, also look up the channel n1bpd. He has really good old videos that are all super in depth about his 70cc kit he did. He installed it very professionally but I watched his videos alot to understand how it all works. Also the reason why I didnt do a speed test after the kit was installed in the video is because I cant get it to run right. Either the jetting or timing is off and now after messing with the timing I cant get spark out of the ignition. Hopefully soon I can get it running correctly
Which kit did you purchase very interested in 70cc for my maxi it only does 23 or so but only has 955 original miles so I'm completely rebuilding it and would love to know which kit don't want one where I have to bore the casing and just interested in learning a bit more if you could get back to me and maybe offer some advice it'd be greatly appreciated. Ps sorry for such a paragraph
www.treatland.tv/puch-70cc-cylinder-treat-kit-p/puch-treat-kit-70cc-the-people.htm Something like this man, I bought mine a couple years ago so I’m not sure if it is the same. I didn’t bore anything out I just bolted mine on
See I've been looking on treatment they had that 80cc kit but that required case boring now that I know they sell the bolt on kits though it's definitely getting upgraded thanks man I'm gonna look for that proma too thing sounds and looks great
*Sounds like engine is 'fuel-starved' as throttle is increased...maybe increase jet-sizes or ream the jet on it now gradually up until it revs properly...there's a guy who's an 'Ace' on scooter carbs here on 'Tube called 'Rollin' Wrench'...he used to do plenty of mechanical work...now mainly just sells stuff* ( *That exhaust is just so loud I couldn't go two-blocks with it...my '08 'Metro' is dead-quite and will top-end at 42/43mph w/a stock-engine & exhaust & I'm 225lbs.! I have performance-parts like Pollini variator/Malossi roller-weights/Kevlar CVT/and run 10/40 full-synthetic and run 27psi rear/18psi front on 'IRT' tires and the Honda handles like a 'mountain goat' no matter the outside temps* ) *I love mopeds...but they don't love me! I'm just too damn fat for them to cope with!*
*I'm not knowledgeable on 2-strokers all that much...but I understand the principles involved in fuel-feedsystems and 'timing'...I'm assuming you had the problem(s) resolved a long time ago, but what was it?*
I was sadly never able to get a true top speed on it because I couldnt get it to run right. there will be more moped videos in the future working on it and hopefully making it run super nice
Do you think that Americans know the german language? No, so don't write in german... And btw, 12mm carburetor works perfect on 70cc and is still manageable to 45-50 mph depending on your weight. I have a Puch with 70cc airsal and 10mm Bing and it works great, you just need to jet up and make sure not to run lean.
@@yann1ck318 yes there is.. the German Maxi 25kmh is with 10mm i believe. And if not, in Denmark we have several mopeds from the 60's with 10mm bing;-) Kreidler Superstar 2-speed is also with 10mm Bing.
Please for the love of god get a suitable carburator and a different exhaust and maybe a cylinder head like thing (thats what google translate did to Zylinderkopfdichtung from german to english) A Tecno Boss would be suitable and maybe even a hpi electronis ignition system for more power and up to 14500 rpm not kidding
Two Stroke J lol i just got a used Tecno Bos exhaust for only 30 bucks maybe try getting one from switzerland or germany :here are some recommended sites( idk if they ship to the us ) www.moafkult.ch , www.puchshop.de , www.scootertuning.com i bought from all of them and they are really good Ma exhaust came from an instagram mechanic shop that sells mostly used moped pieces maybe try one of them if the websites dont ship to us
just some info for u guys please upgrade the carb take a 16mm sha dellorto with jets 6mm diameter and the size maybe a set from 106 to 120 or so good video tho and please for the love of got dont destroy the rims theire originall and worth alot Kind Regard online stranger
Two Stroke J yeah its a good idea and they have really good quality you just need to make sure u get the right diameter jets there are 5 and 6 mm diameter jets for sha‘s so get some info and them buy the things needed
Hey! Im from switzerland and i would like to send you some really special swiss made tuning parts, since theyre road legal over there ;) can we get in touch?
Damn thats fast. I am looking into upgrading the carb and the whole ignition system soon. Im just worried I will buy it all and then not be able to make it work
