@@justarandomperson4real haha I’m currently binging Mulaney content and was curious if anyone had already brought it up in the comments-glad I didn’t have to scroll!
Megan Ripley I knowwwww I just wish I could’ve seen Bill’s reaction to John winning...and also Bill’s reaction to Fred and Maya’s bit, just because I know they make him laugh so much
Jenifer Joseph that would be everything. John Mulaney has completely wrecked my life. I can’t even lay my eyes on a money clip for a second without having his suit-clad puppet-limbs flash before me
that was such a Catholic boy moment, him jumping up and hugging no one and just rushing to the stage guiltily like he's holding things up and better get moving
Ivy Collins Poitras look at the people around him too, he showed up and told everyone “I guarantee I didn’t win tonight” cause their reactions are golden
I think once I heard "Horse in a Hospital", I knew Mulaney had it. ALL of these specials poke fun at Trump, but no matter WHAT Mulaney does, he does it with class and amazing humor. This high waisted, feminine hip having, Catholic, New In Town, Asian American Woman is the BEST comedian on the planet right now. I hope this is the first of many awards he gets.
One of the most genius things about it is he never says the name, never says a nickname for him, never references anyone connected with him by name. It's just the horse, and the hippo, and the last guy and the people who opened the door.
*The classiest thing* a person can do when *they* win... is to *recognize* the people who were *also nominated!* The more they *gush* about the others... the more *I love* the person who won. *#CongratsGeorgeStGeegland*
Die hard John Mulaney fans know this is his 2nd Emmy. He and Seth Meyers won for Outstanding Music & Lyrics for a Justin Timberlake SNL monologue in 2011. Two-time Emmy winner, John Mulaney!
They actually won in on accident because the academy thought it was an actual Justin Timberlake song since they submitted it quickly as "Justin Timberlake song"
I love how the comments are all celebrating John, but I wanna acknowledge that Patton Oswalds “I hope they don’t use that out of context” quote was pretty funny
"Steve Martin and Martin Steve" haha the audience had a delayed reaction and even then it was a sad amount of laughter. He is so effortlessly confusing and yet straight forward in his delivery.
Omg the women presenting...hilarious. The one in yellow is such a great actress; I really believed she has been searching for her father her whole life and just found out it was her co-star all along! Lol
How he got up and just started walking to the stage, then as an afterthought turned to the guy he was sitting with with a wave. The guy seemed like he expected a handshake or hug or something! 😂 He was truly surprised.
John is such a pure specimen of comedy and class that I can't find anyone complaining about how bad the presenters were. Well done John! P.S. sorry for ruining what I just pointed out as a good thing.
