Just wanted to say that your meticulousness in testing is appreciated. Can we get a video comparing old manufactured 5.56 with new, current production 5.56 from different companies? It’s almost false advertising with the underpowered junk they’re passing off m193 and m855.

Do you have a brand in mind? Pretty much all "M193" was nuked 2017 and is documented. Pretty much there are only a few legit "M193" left in terms of velocity

With all the seriously over-gassed 5.56 guns out there, the manufacturers were really forced to reduce the velocity of their M193 ammo.

Any particular reason they nerfed M193? I’ve watched pretty much all of your videos and I know you’ve already covered most of the brands, but I think it would be pretty eye opening if you could find a few varieties of pre-2017 M193 and compare it directly to the new production stuff in the same video. If I had some old 5.56 I would send it to ya, but unfortunately my rifles ate it all.

@@gagemason3865 A drop in quality or tolerance variance in the manufacturer of 5.56 barrels and .223 Wylde ? The most prominent evidence is SG ammo having IMI reduce pressure on the M193 they imported because many people complained/asked for RMA on IMI at the time because of loosing primers and or showing other signs of over pressure. It then seems a majority of other importers followed suit.

Not for an AR-10, but MOS-TEK made me a 12" barrel for my Ruger Precision; with 300gr Sierras and CFE BLK reloads, I'm getting right around an inch group @ 100 yards. They do offer one for the AR10, along with all sorts of other platforms

Barrel, i think Mostek is making 8.6 barrels for ar10s, they also offer other twists than 1:3

Part of that accuracy is just a problem with subs in general. With a standard rifle 50fps isn't a huge percentage variation, whereas 50fps is huge when you're only talking 1Kfps. I'd also be curious about single loading, as I have a suspicion that with ARs you tend to get two groups, one for each side feed ramp as that likely moves/deforms the bullet. Maybe that twist is just too fast as well, since over stabilizing can sometimes have similar results as not enough twist

It would be cool if you could get your hands on some .375 Raptor rifle, just to see how it holds up. In my opinion, 375 raptor seems to do everything better (other than being readily available)

This bullet did work against a Ceramic/PE ultra thin SRT plate, but RF2 plates have stopped it and it stands no chance against RF3

What do you think is going on with the can? Pretty large power drop there, usually I feel like you gain power. Interesting that with the 16 you did gain a tiny bit, so maybe the can somehow blows gas at the bullet that slows it down?

Possible that this can design has more turbulence to scrape as much gas off the exiting bullet as possible?. You are correct that typically velocity gain occurs adding a can.

Yes. By my ears these are all somewhere between 120-130 db. Under the “hearing safe threshold”. Bear in mind that still damages your hearing over time.
