HUGE THANKYOU for this video dr. Zyrowski!!! I’ve been focusing on brain health with ketogenic diet and a teaspoon of mct a day. A looooong story short....have been having unexplained seizures for since 12yrs(43yrs now), regardless of a tumor removed from my brain! The neurologists reckon its scar tissue! But seizures have reduced since my brain is flourishing on ketones! You’ve layed it out simply and smoothly here, I’m super grateful to you for that!!!
I also got it at Costco Canada, comes 2 bottles in the pack, if I remember right was in the oil section. Didn't start using yet, not sure how much should take of it. Gave a bottle to my mum, she has dementia and is on wheelchair after a stroke.
Thank you for great information! I use my I tablespoon of MCT-oil mostly in my coffee after I break my fasting! The first cup of coffee I also use 1 pack of collagen from Oslo skin lab, Norway 🇳🇴. The second cup of coffee I use to take in the late afternoon if I do not choose to make a bowl of Matcha tea (then the MCT-oil is put inside my Matcha tea!) Have stabilized my blood sugars and also lost 35 kilos in 6 months! Do the Keto and intermittent fasting 16/8, 18/6 or 19/5!
I take two tablespoons of MCT oil in the morning. I take it with a spoon like cough syrup, it has no taste and it is not oily. I have been taking it for a few months and I LOVE IT! I will never stop taking it. Loose poop for a few days and fine since. Bought my first bottle at wal mart, by the cooking oil $15 (grab some ghee while you are there!) MCT oil is not hard to find, it is not expensive, DO IT!
Thanks, doc! I started taking MCT oil because of you! I saw a previous video where you talked about it. I stocked up organic MCT oil from Costco last month!
When you buy it, buy it smart. You will see cheap MCT oil and higher priced MCT oil. The cheap mct's are cheap because they are from cheap oils and because the mct content is low. Just be aware they are not all created equal. The researched benefits will not come from MCT's that are low quality or in poor ratios.
I will try have MCT oil when I travel to UK. we don't have it here where I live. But again in my kitchen I have cononut oil pure olive oil and gee butter. Thank you for the info. 👍🙏
Wish I could take it, gives me the runs at only half tablespoon, will stick with coconut oil, not as much processing. I use extra virgin coconut oil now, no problems. There must be something bad in mct oil, many people have the same problem
Chuck entleutner I’ve had the same problem. Personally, I think MCT oil is just another B.S fad. It won’t be too long, once MCT oil loses its momentum, the food industry will roll out and popularize their next money maker.
In the video you know how I said it can and will disrupt some peoples stomach. This is why we strictly use the powder in my clinic. You can avoid all the stomach upset this way. We use this. store.nuvisionhealthcenter.com/products/mct-octane-powder?_pos=1&_sid=12db9338c&_ss=r
Thanks Dr Nick the great information!!! Can you tell if all the MCT oils come containing all the 4 Chains and how much per day should one take whether of the power or the liquid. Appreciate it...
Dr. Nick, I have something to say about MCT. I just acquired 4 bottles of Amazon choice and began using it instead of stevia. I like to use 16 oz. styrofoam cups doubled up for my coffee. I have four in the morning and one after lunch. What happened was this, all five times, the coffee with MCT corroded the styrofoam double cupped and spilled everywhere. This is therefore about safety from hazardous consumption. So are you stating MCT dissolved in coffee is safe for human consumption or not? Please respond as this is important to everyone. And you are a doctor so an expert. Thank you.
MCT's are safe for consumption, yes I am a doctor. I do not recommend drinking from styrofoam cups. Not sure which MCT you are using but we use these store.nuvisionhealthcenter.com/products/mct-octane-powder?_pos=1&_sid=12db9338c&_ss=r
Great video Doc extremely informative!! I'm just about to start my first intermittent fasting. Eat n drink between 11am to 7pm but can I break my fast when I wake up in the morning with a black coffee and a scoop of MCT ??? Will this or will this not be detrimental to what I'm trying to achieve ??
Very interested in brain fuel. I do not want keto, why should I ? don’t want or need to loose weight, not everyone does. But am highly interested in anything generaly healthy. Should I use mct oil and coconut oil? I do like the taste of really creamy coffee. And anything coconut!!
Yes you should try mct oil and/or coconut oil. There are many benefits to both. store.nuvisionhealthcenter.com/products/mct-octane-powder?_pos=1&_sid=c4c41a561&_ss=r
@@dr.nickzyrowski I use the liquid MCT coconut oil I get from the health food store I didn't know that it made a difference in how many times you use it a day.
I started taking mct's while fasting to help with hunger and to get into ketosis quicker. Do mct's slow down weight loss on a fast though? Because I'm fasting mainly for weight loss so should I stop taking it? I'm on a prolonged fast btw on day 6 and going as long as possible. Thanks
Why don't you start your patients off with a smaller dose of MCT oil and let them increase to a full dose as they adjust to MCT oil and handle it well?
@BR...They're both great... It’s kind of like broccoli vs. cauliflower. Both have a high smoking point 350F for coconut oil and 500F for avocado oil...I cook with avocado mostly (frying) coconut and or (mct)for baking or add to coffee :)
I take two tablespoons of MCT oil in the morning. I take it like cough syrup, it has no taste and it is not oily. I keep the capsules in my purse in case I forget to take it. Love it, will never stop taking it. I tell everyone about it, they mostly roll their eyes 😉😊
