I’m varying my fasting for May, so I fast for 16, 60, and 72 hours. I’m currently almost 4 hours into a 60-hour fast. I do strength training 3 x a week and walk most days. I’ve lost 4 kilos since the 4 May. My NSVs include reduced oedema in my legs and feet which makes walking less painful, lost inches, better sleep (6-8 hours), clearer thinking, and more energy. I’ve discovered that committing to fasting leads to other goals. For example, I go to bed earlier instead of tv binging and I drink more water. Thank you, Jerome.

Hey Jerome, I'm priming right now, I'll be jumping back into the fasting soon. I think I will do better fasting after my two weeks of priming. I'm doing the 30 day carnivore challenge. Over all I'm pleased with my progress, It's slow but consistent. I haven't given up. I haven't stopped trying. Noting that a little more walking can't help. I really need to be more consistent in walking more. I'm looking forward to fasting again.

I’m curious to know how the priming went and if you feel it helped you to jump back into fasting… or If you lost weight fasting after priming….
@gloriac55
@gloriac55 3 месяца назад
@@pamelapollard2678 I love the priming. I wished I'd known about priming 20 years ago. I wasn't familiar with carnivore back then. And yes; it makes it much more easier to fast cause I'm rarely hungry. The most important perks that I'm experiencing are mentally and physically. My skin has improved significantly, I feel stronger and have lots of energy. Priming is really meant to correct or reset the body to a normal metabolic state. My sleep is also great and I'm dreaming and waking up refreshed. Today will be my 28 day. I will be doing my first fast tomorrow.It's 23 hours long, with a one-hour window for eating. The month of June will take me into longer rolling fast, I'm also a type O positive so carnivore works well with my blood type. Yes, I'm loosing weight too. But I know I will be loosing more once I jump back into the rolling fast.

I decided to try a 36 hour fast since it’s been a couple years since I was doing OMAD- I ended up going over 80 hours with minimal difficulty. Started feeling nauseous on the 4th day and salts weren’t helping so I decided to go ahead and break but was proud I had made it that far. I lost about 6 pounds in 3 days, even after refeeding (under 1,000 cals as I find fasting shrinks my stomach and controls my appetite) I still had more loss when I weighed the next day. I had been stuck at 185 for the longest and finally got down to 172!!! I didn’t know about the rolling fast method when I first got into fasting but I think it’s a great balance if you want to fast more than just OMAD but can’t/ dont want to go through a week long + fast. Thanks for the tips!

Wow what an incredible video. This is resonating with me so much. I'm about to listen again. I'm in the midst of Fast #1 for my May consistentcy challenge. I'm doing 65 hours for this first cycle. I'm 49.5 hours in and will refeed at 430pm today. My water fast is a modified fast to include small sips of pickle juice when needed and unsweetened green tea. That has made the difference for me with being able to hang in this long. I've been walking daily. I haven't reached the 10k goal yet. Yesterday I got 5608 steps, the day prior in the 7000's. I'm three days free of binge/emotional eating and compulsive food app ordering. I've been replacing the unhealthy comfort activity with other things like walking, creating, etc. Finances - Sticking to budget, 3rd day completed

He uses ZERO. Tracking your fasts are free but if you want to join groups and save custom fasts they charge you. I use it too - I only use the app to track my fasts so I don’t need to pay for it.

Although I am not doing the prolonged fasting this week (due to tha girlie time of the month, so not wise to fast) I am still trying to at least stick to OMAD. Will go back to rolling fasts this coming week until the end of the month. Not getting back on the scale until then either. Dont want to be disappointed. Just taking this time to nourish my body and give it what it needs this week.🙏🏾 🙏🏾

Great content! I was stuck at 87kg from 105kg eating carnivore since april this year. Switched to prolonged fast with unrestricted refeeds since the 14th of July, with 5 prolonged fasts (64 hours avg), down to 82 kg now. Feeling great! My tip to curb hunger >>> Yerba Mate works wonders, I have it once a day, it keeps me satiated. My goal is 80kg, I'll have to reassess my strategy next week to either continue on prolonged fasts or go on OMAD or an hybrid of OMAD/prolonged fast. I am in uncharted waters now :)

Ah man this oxalate dumping is killing me, completed a 7 day fast last week, re-fed over 1.5 days (first day just broth, kimchi, avocado & prawns and some charcuterie), Day 2 back to Carnivore - the last 3 days had excruciating pain in my back, heel and eyes. It passed and felt invincible. Started a 5 day on Monday, (will break today), and more oxalate dumping (started yesterday), this time excruciating hip pain on the other side. I know I can mitigate this by the eating the tiniest portion of oxalate foods or black tea but I'd rather let nature run its course and get rid. Was not expecting to have another episode so quickly....but better out than in. Plan to refeed over 2 days again. Not sure what I want to do fast wise next week, maybe 48 or72hrs.Will cross that bridge when I get to it. Best of luck every one

How do you define binge? Isn't 5-6K calories in 1 meal binging?
@laurieanderson9290
@laurieanderson9290 3 месяца назад
As far as I understand, binging is when you are just out of control. Eating and eating… a large refeed after fasting is not a binge.

He’s explained his binging behaviour in previous videos. His refeeding is nothing like that.
