What's strange is that probably haven't seen a lot of these commercials since 1982 (I was 6), but seeing all this now is actually making me remember it all.
@@elvingarcia3010 In 1982 I specifically remember happy meals being packaged in a plastic Space Ship. It came with stickers you put around the top of it that were windows of the ship. It looked like a traditional flying saucer and you took the top part off and the food was inside the space ship. MUCH better than this BS Cardboard box with ET artword on it.
Somewhere far in a distant planet (alien planet) there is some fast food restoraunt that sells children food and also merchandise from the famous move H.B. the Human Being.
When I was kid back in the early 80s and my mother put up that E.T "the extra-terrestrial" poster up in my room I started crying and could not get my ass to lay in bed much less to sleep. So she took it down and put it up in her room. Finally she gave it away to her friends' kid who was not scared of it LOL.. haha .. the memories.
This ad was from 1985 when the movie came out in 1982 McDonalds packaged Happy Meal Food in a Plastic Container shaped like a Spaceship with no officially licensed for the Movie. Inside the spaceship was a pack of stickers to detail your spaceship and food. It was the most memorable thing I've ever seen from McDonalds. Cardboard with ET Artwork has nothing on an actual spaceship. 5 year old me had no idea it wasn't official ET Merchandise so McDonalds made the right choice in 1982 IMO.
A poster?? That's it, I remember when E.T. came out..but, it would've been better if they had actual E.T. toys..I wasn't really allowed to hang posters in my room..back then..& back in the 80s they had waaay better McDonald's toys..And, E.T. "stuff" Toys, Stickers, lunch boxes..Resees didn't pick up until the the fall of 82..th🤔 I think E.T. came out June 11th 1982..I don't know, how i know this..🤷♀️

I'm sure someone was smart enough to save the toys and not open them. I know i have 3 of 4 of the beanie babies they offered on different countries and they're boxed and in mint condition except for Ireland which is crushed a bit.
This commercial makes me actually want to go and buy a Happy Meal. Too bad the people who work at McDonald's don't wash their hands before cooking the food.
