Yeh I recently watched it on Paramount Plus on a 1080p tv and it looked like 4k quality truly one of the best looking movies of all time with a good story and actors as well.
@@meknowu1 good story is a subjective opinion but I think you're experiencing a placebo, almost all films in modern cinema are filmed in resolutions like 8,12 or 16k then downscaled to 1080p/4k for cinema and distribution, so as far as quality is concerned it's the same, and as for IMAX, on paper and in person Dolby produces better images and for sound that's again entirely subjective but there's a general reason everyone uses Atmos from home cinemas and phone cameras to red cameras and cinemas.
This movie needs to be re-released in theaters every year same weekend. Saw it 3 times in theaters and 6 times at home using my projector! IMAX screen and sound at the theater was legendary!!!! Would like it to be released every Memorial Day weekend in IMAX.
So intense watching them prepare for the mission and then having to actually do it. They reflect all their training. They do the bombing, then get attacked by the missile defense systems and work flawlessly together to dip and dodge out of the way, coordinating perfectly together. Then immediately having to go into a gun fight, working together as wingmen. I can't get over how amazing that pop, spin, dive sequence is. It's just masterfully shot!!!
So much storytelling in a few lines of dialogue and just 2 minutes. Doesn’t feel crammed or packed in a small space. This movie is so good in the current wave of movies, it can go to Oscars again.
I have 9 speakers in my media room pushed by 300 watts per channel, an 85" Sony 8K TV, theater seating, even a vintage popcorn machine that works. THIS movie (and the original) is the Gold standard for new visitors! Excellent work!
I watched this twice in the theaters back in 2022, the second time in ultra wide screen, the entire audience didn't breathe once during this entire scene, it was utterly surreal. It was one of the most incredible movie memories I'll ever have
i was stuck taking my sisters kids and their friends to this show. had the 80s version in my mind and wasnt stoked about 2hrs of macho blah. also wasnt happy about driving an hour each way and losing the whole day because food after ect. get the circus seated, show starts. i fully loved this movie. from start to finish it was great. the love story was almost too long but didnt ruin it. i since watched the first one and it was better than i remember but didnt hit like this one. this is a great movie.
this movie was insane for a ton of reasons just to name a few immersive as fuck because they really did the stunts scenic a ton of action touching moments and also hits the nostalgia feels from the first movie and on top of that it's even better then the first one
