haha we all watched Soul Survivors because it had Eliza Dushku being Faith, i completely agree. To this day it still doesn't make sense but it's a trip!
Haven't heard of most of these, but "Frankenstein Theory" and "Lexi" grabbed my attention so I'm gonna give those a look since your recommendations are usually pretty good. Thanks Mandy!
I'll be checking out Crone Wood for sure (I'm half Irish and love folk horror), Harbinger, Inner Demon & Black Bird. Thanks for the recs! Loved HITHD2: Minerva, it felt almost like a connected FF anthology done better than most of the v/h/s flicks. Great use of tension throughout! Bought Evil Dead Rise day one, didn't regret the blind buy at all. So much fun.
That's a problem, if your half Irish then that blood would beat the shit out of the other blood, unless its Scottish, then you would be crazy, like me.
Perfect timing, I have been so frustrated with Tubi lately, I haven't been able to find anything i want to watch. But several of these sounds great, especially the folk horror one. I love folk horror!
Girl, you're too cute! I laughed out loud when you said that the movie made you scream. Truly, I never heard any screaming at a horror movie since I was a teen back in the 80s. I don't hear about people scream out loud today, so that's why I burst out laughing. Please note that I love your videos and you do a great job. Keep up the good work.
so happy to see someone talk about Horror in the High Dessert! this is the 3rd video of yours i have seen and you mentioned both. i saw them back to back and loved them. found footage can be so hit and miss to the extremes and those are both so damned good. i have subscribed and liked
I love found footage and you listed a couple I haven't seen yet, but they're in my queue now! Off-topic question. What mic do you use, 'cause your audio is so clear?
I've watched *Apollo 18* It was a very bad experience. There can't be life of the Moon. Even if there is, they won't prey on humans. As far as my experience with the genre tells me, women rarely die in found footage movies. Gary Hinge, or whatever his name was, died in *Horror in the High Desert* But I'm sure the female lead survives in the sequel.
@@mandysmorgueofhorror there are so many though that it can be hard to find the good ones. The first found footage movie i saw was V/H/S and i got pretty obsessed from there.
@@dylanball6851 Same. DL was such a cool take on possession. I also liked The Possession of Michael King. Most reviewers disparage the possession/supernatural genre but I'm a huge fan.
@@mandysmorgueofhorror It is what it is as far as story quality, but the atmosphere is great. It has autumnal vibes with the foliage, school setting, pumpkins throughout the town, and it actually has its climax on Halloween, based on the trick or treaters. Understated but its there. Thanks for not hating my guilty pleasure and Thanks for all your reviews!
