Get it going and drive it. Put in new fuel pump which worked for a while then stopped, maybe relay which I found but haven't tested. Can't find the fuse for the pump either.
About to begin a build on my 95 celica gt shes a 5 speed. Would love to import a jdm celica alltrac and do a front wheel drive setup and eventually convert her over to create my very own murikan alltrac subbed and liked this maybe an older vid but im just searching now. Thanks for the upload!
if youre gonna go through the trouble to import a jdm alltrac/gt4, leave it be! theyre rare enough as it is. just find a usdm 5th gen alltrac... they can be had cheap enough if you find someone who doesnt know what they have. if youre that set on making a 6th gen usdm one, buy a back half cut from england or something and cut out and replace your floor/frame with the one from the half cut so that the subframe bolts in
A little off but here goes my question. I have a 1997 Toyota RAV4, 5 Speed (E250), FWD. Which LSD will work from any Toyota Transaxle? Or, which Cusco LSD will work with my Transaxle?
HELLO I AM FROM RUSSIA! PLEASE TELL THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD FROM WHICH MOTOR? I have a TOYOTA CUMRI 5s-fe. I want to put a turbine but I can't find a collector from this? from 3s-gte? Does it fit the mount?
Hey bro I don't feel like ordering a GT20 or 26 but I do have an old Holset turbo from a Cummins Diesel tractor that was completely free, and its in decent condition. Since it is a bigger turbo and takes a lot longer to spool up, do you think I would need an intercooler for the charged air? And in regards to the computer, would a 2 bar map sensor do the trick, or would I need to go full ECU?
In my opinion Holset is a awesome low budget turbo. I run a HX35 on my other car. It does take a lot longer to spool up because of its size but can also hit the higher boost levels. I think if your only looking for 10 PSI a good ct26 or ct20b would be a good fit for your goal, but if you got the holset all ready give it a try. You might be ok without an intercooler, but you should still have a way to check the charge temperature. larger turbos can run cooler at lower boost levels. I would all ways run a aftermarket ECU or at least a piggyback in a car with dramatic change i.g. turbo, supercharger, nitrous, or large cams.
I already turbo y mr2 just waiting for my new oxygen sensors , i also gping to intsall the same fuel injectors that you recommend! Now i have another question do i have to replace the 2bar map sensor for a turbo one part number 89420-17050? Zo the ecu can read the air density and do the right fuel mixture? Please help me thanks !
@@velocityperformance8574 Whatd you do to make sure it didn't kill your engine? Dont the 5SFE engines stock give out a lot sooner even with low boost? My 2000 Camry has the same engine so I was wondering
Did you ever consider installing a supercharger instead of a turbo charger? They spool up faster in the low rpm's giving you instantaneous torque. Going back around 15 years ago, there was a shop in Staten Island, NY that offered a supercharger kit. The owner stopped offering kit since the buyers couldn't find anyone to install them.
@@SakugaAsu yes it held up just fine. My most current project is a 3sfe and it has stock internals at 300hp and 20 psi. It has other things to help it out like a MLS head gasket and head studs.
What gen 3sgte map sensor did you use ? I put a 3rd gen in mine and cant get my car to start properly once i put the old map sensor through she cranks and runs beautifuly
just take your time, do research, and ask questions if your not sure about how to do something. Adding a turbo can have a big impact on performance, but you need to make sure every thing is working well together. If not you will not have the full potential and could cause substantial engine damage.
I have a 93 celica gt that I plan on boosting this summer what header is that you are using. I'm having a hard time finding a header on eBay (stainless turbo manifold) or manifold in general. Any and all help is appreciated
I am using a factory cast manifold that originally came on a gen2 3S-GTE. www.ebay.com/itm/MR2-GEN2-3SGTE-EXHAUST-MANIFOLD-7-STUD-1991-1992-GEN2-CT26-CT20B-TURBO-/292146527414?hash=item44054a3cb6:g:0msAAOSwXY5ZPDrZ&vxp=mtr
A stainless header will work from a gen2 3S-GTE, a 7 stud manifold will be a direct fit. However a 9 stud manifold will need the left upper stud flange cut off due to contact with the alternator bracket. www.google.com/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=images&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwjuloath8vUAhUI8CYKHTXnCtEQjRwIBw&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mr2.com%2Fforums%2Fthreads%2F79930-MR2-EXPERTS-ONLY!-EXHAUST-MANIFOLD&psig=AFQjCNFf5vTsMvNIr4OkLKAOqfDO9e8sjg&ust=1498000982903192
For the most part it should, I think the down pipe can be tricky with the engine mount and the ac, so the ct26 down pipe probably won’t fit. I have a Camry alltrac in the shop we will be documenting the work once we start on it.
Im not sure if anyone sells a kit but a 3sgte manifold/turbo/down pipe a good start or a cast eBay manifold and a t3 turbo depending on goals. Also some kind of piggy back or standalone ecu would be good to have.
The oil feed is coming from a T between the head and oil pressure sensor. Here is a video I made to better show the oil feed and drain on my car, the oil feed starts at 1:25 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5G-Sy_3iiyE.html
To be honest thats not a platform I'm familiar with. If it has the 3s-ge beams motor I'd say its possible but not safe, I believe those motors are high compression.
Thanks so much , the engine looks like this . scontent.fsbz1-2.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t34.0-12/18518591_1921531291457928_1499987958_n.jpg?oh=1105e7842b354e2c036b66e8ca3d5e2b&oe=591E81D2 Cheers !!
Yes everything I did in this video would still apply to your car. The only down side is your car doesn’t have a knock sensor so I would recommend using a microsquirt or any programable pcm to control it.
I don’t have a good answer for reliability, when something like this is done it puts a lot of stress on the engine. With a good stock engine, a good tune and good fuel maybe 250 at the wheels? I’ll be doing a 5sfe turbo tuning video in the next month or so if every thing goes well.
Same thing i got a manifold that gos with the turbocharger and then waist gate my mechanic thinks that that it won't work with a st204r and needs some sort of tune mod or ect he's going to double check tho and get back to me meh so confused ATM
Velocity Performance the clocking of the turbo where you have it. Instead of it facing up we faced it down. And we ran the intake piping straight by the battery and to the intercooler. Then the other side of the intercooler comes across the radiator in the passenger side to the turbo. Leaves enough room for 2 low profile electric fans. Then we clocked the hot side slightly to clear the turbo manifold so we can use to oil line and oil return line to the oil pan. And you get the rest. The only thing we had to fab a little was the bracket for the turbo that the waste gate is bolted to. (We just flipped it around and bent it to meet with it) then your exhaust side can either come out your hood, your fender (with an AC delete) and also has enough room for a normal full exhaust.
I get what your saying, I kinda did the same as you on the 3sgte swap gts celica I did. The coolant pipe wasn’t a big deal to make fit. If I had a 3sgte crossover pipe it would have fit due to the design to clear the turbo on the 3sgte.
By facing the turbo down and using a FMIC it really does make it look a lot cleaner than the factory location of the turbo facing up and using a TMIC or a WTA intercooler like mine.
@@velocityperformance8574 Isn't the same 5Sfe motor the one they use in the Camry? I've seen a lot of people's rods go out when they try to turbocharge that engine
@@SakugaAsu maybe I'm not sure if they share the same rods. My 3sfe is making 300hp 20psi stock rods and pistons still. Maybe some years have weaker rods or they over rev them.
