Mitch Brown Hard to say. I did way more than the 5.3 all at once. The combination of 5.3 / 4l80e was the hard part, wasn't very well documented. But I got it to work. Cost way too much money.
Right now im on the same path as you. Mine is my ED, Im having everything fixed up and then getting a good 5.3 swap. That way nothing serious should break while im saving.
