I love this commercial! Saw it once and it got etched in my brain! The wild cat sounds were a great touch, even if this is actually a bird of prey. The burp was a little too much IMO.
Got a 2000 T/A WS6. Love this advert. Done a lot of miles in the T/A various mods, a non GM roller lifter failed. Had a complete rebuild and made it 383ci. The LS1 has a new lease of life.
Saturn was sold, but GM still owns the rights to Pontiac, so they could bring them back at any point they feel it would be financially beneficial. The problem with GM was they have too many of the same thing between brands, so they had to 'trim the fat' and it just so happens that Pontiac was the higher prices, lower selling brand. It had sense to get rid of them, but it sucks for the Pontiac die hards.
@PontiacAlfaHSV Yep...you got it bud...Every pontiac Ive ever been around hasnt had the "problems" most GM cars do (bland, boring styling, poor design, cheap interior (the leather interior at least, almost ANY car with cloth looks cheap),lack of power). My dads 01 Grand Prix,I have to say,If GM made that RWD along with the Firebird and GTO,it would probably be one of the best looking cars ever made.I know my 97 Trans Am has a better interior (and exterior) than almost any car made now...smh at GM.
The government isn't phasing out Pontiac, GM is doing it. They got rid of the trans Am long before the bail out issue. You can credit Bob Lutz with the death of pontiac, the minute he killed the Trans Am, there was little to keep pontiac afloat. Give the real credit to the guy who deserves it all, not the Government...
Correct but, Lutz stated out of his own mouth the Trans Am was finished. Being that he isn't American, I can see why he had no connection to the Trans Am. He could have made things right by bringing it back before he walked. He did what he had to do...I don't like ending the Trans America, just not a smart move in America. Now GM is content with flooding the street with their super Car the Vette. Why now save that car and make it a special order car, and bring back the TA...
