He reminds me of my Dad who lived to be 100+ 8 months, he cycled 20 miles a day until he was 98 and was still in great mental and physical health. He only had 4 days of illness at the end. He ate mostly veg and spuds but did have meat if someone cooked it for him. He had a life well lived

My mom lived to 105, a sister died at 100 and another is now 103. They all were mentally sharp with no sign of alzheimers and mom still got around quite well. She took the lowest dose of BP medicine and swore by vitamins. They all ate out very little, had large gardens, canned and preserved all of their own food and used no pesticides. She ate bran for breakfast every day and all three had diets that included potatoes every day. Lots of home grown vegetables, homemade rye bread, and meats they butchered themselves for years. Mom worked in her garden until she was 101 and still baked her amazing pies until 103!

Yes! Please invite him back! He is such wonderful example of all the benefits of the dietary recommendations he makes. My mother will be 99 next month, eats a standard American diet and, while she doesn’t have Alzheimer’s, she has had colon cancer, can only walk to the bathroom with a walker, must be taken in a transport chair when she goes out, and is not nearly as mentally alert or healthy as this man. We don’t just want to live longer, we also want to be healthy and be able to enjoy our life as we age. This gentleman seems to be doing that, and the joy of life he exudes is inspiring! Louise Jacobs

Your grandfather lived till 116? That's beyond awesome. Where did he live? Would love for you to share more information if you would. My grandmother lived to 103. She got polio in her 60s and that definitely gave her the wake-up call to take especially good care of herself. I loved hearing her stories of way back when. She was a school teacher in Atlantic City. She would tell of when the boardwalk there first opened up around 1917 and a shop from China opened there and all were amazed. She bought a large vase there and had made into a lamp which was gifted to me. Yes, so many wonderful memories. Her husband was a map maker and travelled all over making some of the first maps. Ever wonder what our grandchildren will be amazed of from our times? lol Lots I'm guessing. Take care...

Some time last year I happened upon a You tube presentation of a talk by Dr.Scharffenberg. The name rang a bell as a person whose health articles I had read in our Church papers from time to time. I listened and was quite impressed.. I had no idea that he was still alive. His life is a testimonial to what he taught and the blessings of God! He evidently practiced what he taught throughout these years. It's so refreshing to hear from someone who lived a long temperate, wise, disciplined, useful and godly life and enjoyed it. So many of those whose genetics afforded them longevity brag about their decadent, licentious lifestyle of alcohol and tea consumption, nicotine use, and general dissipation, a not fitting example to youth or adults. Thank God for your long life of service to humanity, Dr, S.

He's right about all of this! And don't drink alcohol. I lived a pretty clean life-diet, exercise, but at age 45, I adopted a habit of drinking a glass of red wine or two every day. I thought it was good for my heart, and I loved how it helped me to relax. After 20 years of a daily wine habit, I developed breast cancer. I have no breast cancer genes and no one in my vast immediate or extended family has ever had breast cancer. I blame myself for my own misguided choice. And no. I do not drink any alcohol now.

He said exercise may have been why he outlived his brothers but he probably also got more sunshine and fresh air out there as well. I often feel like sunshine is a significant factor. I mean it even tye's back into vitamin D like he mentioned earlier on. But it does other things too, like increase melatonin on a cellular level and interact with chlorophyll to create ubiquinol.

HI AJ,so nice to see your channel, where we explore the fountain of youth.Im 65,but look like im in my early 40's.Im totally into this.Just checked out your website, you look SUPERRADIANT.I have to share this with you cause no one seems to be talking about this.,when sharing they'er secrets of Health and Longevity.Iam a Healing Arts Instructor.I practice and Teach various aspects of the Healing Arts, such as Tai Chi,Chi Gung & Yoga, etc. What im about to share with you is becoming rapidly known in the general health feld. The Tibetians have been practicing a form of Chi Gung called, The5 Rites, also known as the 5 Tibetians, for 100's of yrs.Today they are now called THE FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH,because they have been found to REVERSE THE AGING PROCESS.The 5 simple exercises balance the 7 Chakra energy system, which governs your health and well-being.If people add a form of exercise that specifically balances the chakra's they are highly likely to enjoy Robust Health and Fitness, well into they'er 80's,90's,and beyond,by doing just these. Were Multi dimensional,so of course the other 3 bodies have to be attended to.Yes, i practice them.Just google Fountain of Youth,by Peter Kelder.Book available Amazon,or possibly your local Library.Word should be spread far and wide about ,..THE FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH EXERCISE BOOK.

A balance diet.....my grandma was 100 when she passed away, my mum was 99 and my grandfather was 101. Anything excessive will kill or shorten ones life. I had a friend who died at age 40 and he is a glutton. There are stories of people living over 100 only a meal a day . Great Video !

Bless your heart AJ for not interrupting him when he was blathering on about the problem with veganism vs. vegetarianism. The misinformation was astounding! You should have mention the Seventh Day Adventists study. The EPIC Oxford bone study has been debunked. The countries with the highest dairy consumption have the highest fracture rate. Spinach is a good source of iron … and why would we want that book?
