I am so glad I am not an “average American.” I am 77; I don’t drink sodas, eat only when hungry, take no medications, exercise regularly, and sleep like a baby.
@@modupeolokun9414 - It is not vegan or even vegetarian. I eat meat but only grass-fed beef. I have a big salad almost every day. I pretty much eat what I want but not junk food. No fast food. You have to find what works for you. I also walk and dance a lot.
I lost my mom, when I was pregnant with my first child, and we lived 850 miles away. My mom was 49, and suffered from alcoholism, and depression. My dad was good to her, and he was a great dad. Sometimes when people die young, as my mom did, I think that God knows they are not capable of coping, and as their issues become insurmountable to the, person...maybe they are given rest. My mom's kidneys were abused, and failed. Depression is the cause of many deaths, like a silent killer.
my grandma live 100 years she had NO HEATHPROBLEMS no meds it's growing her foods veggies fish all natural but ALL PRICRIPSON DRUGS IS KILLING US IN NAME OF DR. WHO ARE BUSINESSPEOPLE MAKING MONEY ALSO AFTER DEATHS TOO!!!!!!????
Doc is proof that you are what you eat, God's grace and his lifestyle choices are still preserving him, it's so amazing how sharp and incredible his cognitive functions are, let your food be medicine
Food can't solve all your medical problems .. it's foolish to think that....many health problems happen from genetics and medications can be lifesaving.
I will never be a complete vegetarian but making changes like this Dr is saying exercise eating conscious and maintaining a healthy lifestyle it will make huge difference thanks for sharing this important information
I know plenty of overweight vegans/vegetarians who have been diagnosed with diabetes, cardiovascular disease and cancer. None of them smoke or drink alcohol and some are even gym goers. This vegetarian doctor is generalising. But God bless him. He's clearly been blessed with good health by the Almighty.
Exactly. I don't understand why meat, which is natural, is put into a junk food category, when we've been eating it forever. All because most vegetarians believe it's cruel to kill animals for human consumption. It has zero to with health.
Doctors have been prescribing me statins for 13 years- ever since I was diagnosed with diabetes. Ive always refused to take them- haven't had a heart attack yet!
@duanefrench3500 Actually, it's no simple BC of how much they have changed, modified & electrified our food. There is barely any more nutrition in our food, so although I believe he is correct, we would have to eat 7 oranges today to get the same vitamine "C" that my Grandmother got in one orange when she was living! So, if the "theys" stopped careing more about money & cared more about human beings, we would B N better shape! If the "theys" would outlaw GMO'd foods = (Frankin foods) & never allow any company to get a patent on anything that sustains life, we would b n better shape! So Mr. @duanefrench3500, it's not as simple as you appear to believe it is & that is not our fault... & I'm healthy!
What a blessing of God. Dr. John still has excellent voice/sound, body mobility, hearing/listening without using hearing aids, and vision (reading books with no eye glasses). God bless you for this free beneficial health information.
Probably his genes, faith in God, and having a good outlook on life. Or he sleeps well and gets good exercise. Not so much the vegetables (because vegetables have antinutrients, so you need to have them once they have been fermented).
! Thank you Pastor Doug Batchelor & Dr John Scharffenberg for HEALTHFUL & EDUCATIONAL video. This is very important to all who wants a longer life just like Dr Scharffenberg has.
The likes of Dr. John Scharffenberg is a blessing to the world. Listening to Dr. Scharffenberg's discussion about what to do to REVERSE Diabetes and Hypertension confirmed what l already knew. Being prescribed statin medicines can make your situation worse or kill you if you lack the basic understanding of your disease and the treatment that your are getting. "Knowledge is power."
You obviously don't have that knowledge.. because statins can safe lives and hypertension and diabetes can not be reversed at late stages and are usually genetic and will occur no matter what you eat
Thank you Doug B. for this and also for your scripture loaded article called “ The Peril of the Easy Life”. …wonderful much needed words for now. Please keep repeating these words for today. Thank you.🙏
Beutiful! God bless u. Moses of the Bible reached 120 years of age; and yet God said his eyes and the body were still very strong. I admire that. i am a pastor and want to help people.
I am so impressed with 100 year old Dr. John Sharffenberg! I have been sober for 36 years and have no thyroid, and had lots of problems overcoming eating issues. I quit eating flour and sugar and began eating quite a bit more vegetarian, with lots of help from hubby, who is a gardener and bringing beautiful fruits and vegetables in daily, and am now slimming down. Thank you for sharing so much information, Doctor. I was interested to see the study results showing the connection between junk food and alcohol abuse - wow! Also, it seems like we hear statistics about how great it is to drink a glass of wine every day, so the good doctor is a terrific example of how abstinence from alcohol and drugs is the way to go. I have never seen anyone so healthy, alert, and communicative at 100 years of age as the good doctor. A great message.
We love Dr. Scharffenberg! He was a delight to interview on Plant Chompers and it's great to see him on this channel too 😍 Thank you Doug for this interview!
Dr. John Scharffenberg I am indeed happy to see you as you are the Ambassador of life style to reverse the complicated diseases , and the vegetarianism is a unique lifestyle what you attained at the age of 100 yrs . I am 61 years ,shifted to vegetarian diet at the age of 30 . Amrit Das , New Delhi , India .
I am 78, as of JUNE 10th. I have been under tremendous stress. I am just now, back to weight lifting, and floor work, which has never failed me. My husband has been diagnosed as having dementia, and we just put our precious Amish puppy mill rescue down yesterday morning at our vet's hospital. My sweet little furbaby had kidney failure, and he was blind, deaf, and in diapers. He was such a precious gift, and this morning, when studying on my tablet, I quietly reached the nightstand, so I wouldn't awaken him. He is usually in the bed. These next few weeks, it will be especially hard to be less stressed. Keeping my diet healthy, and fighting depression with exercise, and positive thinking, like knowing that my sweet little dog is no longer suffering, will go a long way toward being in a healthier state. My BP has been up, with valid reason, so that should also resolve itself in response to these positive changes.
So sorry for your loss. Praying that God will strengthen and comfort you as you continue your journey to good health. God know our struggles, and he'll help you every step of the way. God bless your family.
@@zion28able Thank you all, for your kind words, and prayers. I finally folded up my dog's blankets, and cool sheets for summer. This week, while running the sweeper, I moved his bed, and fell apart. My husband told me to put it with the food, etc., that will go to the rescue, but I cannot part with that doggie bed...yet. I do okay, and fall apart, and It's a roller coaster, but I always loved to watch him sleep, because, in the mill...I was sure he got very little rest. Now, he is sleeping, as he did at our home, whenever, and wherever he pleases. LOL He had so many different sleeping poses, and I have many pictures in my camera. We're going to get hard copies tomorrow. Today was too busy.
@@jeanmader2302 - so sorry to read of the loss of your little dog. I recently lost my doggie too. My heart was shattered. I still have her bed sitting beside my chair too. Grief takes time to heal. P.S. - I see it has been a year now since your post. I pray that all is well with you. God bless.
Dr. John Scharffenberg is to my knowledge one of the most honest people out there in the medical field. I trust what he says Wholeheartedly. Thank you Dr. Scharffenberg and Thank you Dough for having this wonderful guest on your program in RU-vid.
How delightful! Dr. S, you’re amazing!!!! 😳Praying the Lord will grant me the strength to put your recommendations in place for me and my hubby of 56 years. 😁We’re 77 yo. Keep on keeping on ! May God bless you both❤️✝️
Thank you so much for such a beautiful and simple way of outlining such important subject. Thank you Dr Swarffenberg, for being so positive at one hundred yrs of age.
Excellent presentation, and thank you! And there is evidence of increased type one and type two diabetes as a side effect of a recent mandated medical intervention…
Thank you for sharing this enlightening conversation with Dr. John Scharffenberg and Doug Batchelor. It's through videos like these that we can learn, inspire, and take positive steps towards improving our health. The impact of this video is immeasurable, and I'm certain that it will continue to empower and transform lives. Keep up the fantastic work!
I loved this interview a no nonsense and practical truth telling about life style and in particular diabetes . I came here because I am a borderline type 2 and want to this change while Im able. Some older people have a condition where they cant exercise that much, but Im fortunate even though Im 78 have no problem in walking . Breaking away from the meat diet will be the issue for me. I liked what the Dr said about how to start. Weening yourself away from it bit by bit. That would be the same for smokers and I can do this. Thanks DR.
Greatest human beings always ready to help others who need their service and expertise. What a wonderful and marvelous gentleman who has huge ways to shape up the future generation in such an excellent lifestyle.. Thanks for the episode and best wishes from Dr. Jayantha Pathirana from Lanka
Dropped BP from 140/96 to 115/64 within 1 1/2 month on a whole food plant based diet. I didn’t lose weight (deliberately eat to fuel my workouts), didnt change sleep routine, didnt change exercise frequency, intensity or duration, perceived stress levels have stayed the same.
Happy Sabbath! Thank you so very much for this video. I was recently diagnosed with being type 2. I also lost my mother last year to diabetes, before she reached 70 years old. I don't want to pass on as early as her, and I've started to reduce the meat in my diet, and try and go on a veggie diet. I'm amazed at how much better I'm beginning to feel after a month of not eating meat. It does take time to adjust it, but it's definitely worth it in the long run! My glucose numbers are looking better & better. And the benefit, my family is seeing the change. My weight is coming off too, slowly but surely too. Thx for the video!
Praise God! Thank you for sharing your testimony! Keep shining your light and sharing your faith. Your testimony has the potential to touch countless lives and bring hope to those who need it! May God continue to bless and guide you on this remarkable path. God bless! -The Amazing Facts Team
I had some success on (my version) of the keto diet. The hard part is that the rest of the family are resistant to changing their diet. However, we now have some good changes, like more salads, and I can feel better most of the time.
Graet and set as a example to honest Dr not writing Prescriptions not neede. We are proud to find such great people and giving advice from their experience not taking medicine as a business serving the people even at this age. Amazing and great honest and knowledgable thinking about human wish you to live longer by Gods Power and spirit. Samirsalih
Thank you very much Pastor Doug for this LIFE SAVING VIDEO, please allowed me to use this full video using our language in Philippines, pardon for my VERY INFORMAL REQUEST BUT LIFE ARE TOO PRECIOUS AND THIS VIDEO IS MORE POWERFUL THAN ALL THE PILLS AND CAPSULES IN THIS PLANET, keep up the goid work Pastor Doug and Doctor_________, GOD BLESS
Thank you Pastor Doug and Dr. S for this wonderful and vibrant message. I really needed this. I want to become a good role model and pass this useful information to my family and friends. Thank you so much, Love and God bless. ❤
His side comment about dental health is really critical. If you don't have a good set of teeth, it's incredibly hard to consume all the right foods. It is possible with the aid of modern appliances but it's a lot of work. I wish dental insurance was much better so that those with failing teeth can get proper care. I also read Dr Fuhrman's website and he says pretty much the same thing in great detail. I have several of his books because I keep giving them away (much to the new user's delight at the return of health) and a cookbook (never given away) containing absolutely delicious recipes. I'm not a doctor so I don't have that skill to share with others but I do make an effort to post positive comments. I also have a good sewing skill so I use that to make quilts for donation to such places as Project Linus that donates these to children in distress such as the family lost everything to a fire/weather catastrophe or children facing extended hospitalization. There are other things that I can make or grow and give to friends and family because it helps me to look forward instead of backward. For those that hate walking, pull out that phone and take a picture of something along the way that you like. I took a picture of a little creek every week for a year. It was interesting to watch the seasonal changes and flora changes. It was easy to get that little walk in that year (pandemic year) and I found it cleared out the cobwebs in my heads so I could really focus on housework to get it done quick or on my quilting projects. Join a group with like interests; there are so many kinds out there and some have maintained their zoom connections so if you are stuck at home for some reason, it's still possible to make positive connections. Some groups really can't do zoom or not often such as a bike club but others do so such as a quilt guild that I'd like to join (having just discovered they still do zoom). Lastly, don't focus on the news or become a news junkie. The news is always awful something or other; just get the headlines to be informed of current events. Avoiding the news junkie frame of mind clears your head for uplifting things and a positive contribution to your home, family, neighbors, and more. If you don't have a hobby, take a class to try out something new or visit a club to see what members say. Maybe coin collecting or watercolors will turn out to be appealing because a hobby only needs to suit you not everyone around you. And there is something for everyone even if you have no extra money whatsoever. One year, between jobs, I searched online on how to make something out of tin cans; amazingly, I found that some people make flowers out of aluminum soda cans and sell them online or at flea markets but I never got to carry out that plan because a job found me. Long post but just sharing how I haven't gone mad from all the restrictions of the past few years and remained relatively healthy (still working on the weight issue--because of taking it slow). I hope this helps someone.
Words have power. Anything possitive you share is a seed you plant. Same goes w negative ones. Words of encouragement and motivation give hope . Thanks to all who share their wisdom and good will. Blessings to you all. Love never fails. 🤙🏼🌈❤️
✡️SHABBAT SHALOM Pastor Doug & Dr John!!!✡️ Mom and I have been waiting for this moment! I’m SO excited to talk to you both on live chat!!! God loves you and may more of His holy health plan be spoken through you both!!!💖 My name is Rebekah and I’m 17
Thank you Doctor for educating us that quick prescription is not the answer for good health. Rather good and quality advices can lead to good health and longevity.
Glad I found the way to lower high blood sugar, hypertension and improve insulin sensitivity while still under 50! All by using plants. Won't be losing these habits anytime soon. I am now working on improving blood flow and burning fats in my body daily. I am getting stronger, gradually.
@ReadRomans10 OK. I eat meat too, but focus on plants to fix most health issues. I made a supplement from various plants and its doing wonders for my health. Still tweaking it.
I have recently bumped up my plant supplements as well to work on an eye issue. What supplements are you using for your blood sugar and blood pressure regulation? I'm always looking to avoid big pharma! Thanks in advance.
@@djfreier4572 when I went keto my blood pressure and insulin resistance went away after a short time. I also supplement with a high quality cod liver oil and grass fed butter supplement. I use certain herbs as needed. Dr Berg has great info on intermittent fasting and keto to kick start your health.
This is very interesting! I am glad I stumbled into this video. A friend had mentioned about Doug Bachelor evangelism and I was excited about. I asked him to share and I believe he did or God directed it to my attention. Thank you for awesome presentation. I would wish to be just like the doctor when I grow to be 100 years old. 😂😂😂
I stopped my sugar intake by 90% and do intermittent fasting. I am down 20 lbs in 2 1/2 months and working toward 10lbs more. Stopped taking statins goal is no more high blood pressure meds.
Statin medicine patients are suppose to change their LIFESTYLE FIRST and then if that doesn't work then you get a prescription. I enjoyed listening to Dr Scharffenberg and Pastor Batchelor. Thank you both⚘️
Very nice explained about vegetarian n other facts like exercise etc.,he hasn't drink alcohol/cigarettes that's the reason of his fitness. God bless him.❤
