In 16th Century France, a “galimafrée” was a stew or salad of the most pleasant and varied ingredients. Could we agree this describes this week’s Ocoee Parking Lot Bluegrass Jam? There were many tasty surprises in tonight's bluegrass mix of familiar and new pickers. Great to see old friends.
SPECIAL NOTE: The Peyton Brothers dropped by the parking lot and brought their special brand of Bluegrass and folk music from the Jacksonville area where they have performed for over four decades until retirement. Lee Peyton ( mandolin) has been a frequent visitor to the Ocoee Jam.

As you watch THE OCOEE JAM, keep in mind this is an OPEN jam. It is not a rehearsed performance. Each picker, in turn, chooses a tune, and he or she sings or plays it accompanied by all the other pickers. Everyone gets a chance no matter the skill level. The Jam meets every Friday evening at 6:30 in the parking lot behind the Starbucks Coffee Shop at 10870 West Colonial Dr., Ocoee, Florida 34761.
