😮 240 acres OMG that is awesome. I knew being a rancher‘s daughter that 25 acres wouldn’t last long not at the rate animals are being dumped. I’m so glad you were able to get such a large property but it’s not going to stop there you’re gonna have to buy more. And I think you should make a petting farm with all of the animals so that people can come to the petting farm have an entrance fee to help make money to feed all of these animals.❤
I truly believe that you are St. Francis of Assisi reincarnated. He so loved animals and the animals trusted him and loved him back. You are a true inspiration and treasure.
@@spicybrown75 I’m sorry, but I disagree strongly. Lee doesn’t owe anyone an explanation unless it makes him feel better and he feels the need or necessity. As it is, he’s a very conscientious person and does it because he’s very open hearted, but he doesn’t owe this to anyone. As far as his social media and donations are concerned, that is also something that must be done freely from the person’s heart and not because Lee’s explanations meet their approval or expectations. If you don’t like what he does or says, don’t watch. It’s that simple. People watch and donate because they love Lee, his animals, and how he loves back. Name one famous rescue such as The Humane Society that is transparent about how they spend the donations from the public; the answer is THERE ARE NONE. This journey has been difficult enough for Lee with the heartbreaking loss and enormous responsibility of making life and financial decisions without people putting a huge guilt trip on him about things that aren’t anyone else’s business.
@@Transition333 I completely empathize with his struggles but he does need to share to keep connecting with his audience. If he didn't need to then he wouldn't be on any social media platforms 🤷🏽♀️
Transparency IS important if not vital. That said the level of reflection Lee undertakes demonstrates an immensly high level of integrity. Its not that he is justifying his choices but more a matter of assimilation and sharing of knowledge. In a way Lee is educating his audience. Demonstrsting lots of invaluable skills.
Lee, if you see this, know I have fostered 2 dogs because I opened my heart because of you. I have 3 incredible dogs in my bed right now and no where else I’d rather be. ❤️❤️❤️
There is never enough land to save animals because people are multiplying by millions on the planet. We need Asher rescues as well as enough food to feed the hungry population of both species. Bless you, Lee, and stay well and safe.
@@thermostat4body...? Breeding is the reason animals aren't being saved. People buying from breeders while shelter dogs die, and people dumping their pets like they're a pair of unwanted pants.
Lee, its been a year & I pray you know that mistakes, regret, sorrow & etc., are just part of the journey of this life. You're also soooooo Blessed to be open to growing, having those doors open to what you, your beautiful 4 legged, "aves", beautiful creatures & crew are now clearly experiencing. You'll still face new struggles & bc of what you've endured, you'll know how to handle unwanted & even surprising situations. I so look forward to knowing when your new Sanctuary is open for tours. May you continue to receive the bounty of support & May our Padre God continue to keep you all well. Paz be with us all 🙏. "Isa"
If ONE % of the world population were like you, Lee, we would have such a beautiful "wonderful world". And right now I am talking about your outstanding capacity of deep and serious reflexion, your consistent will to learn and your candid and courageous communicating at this young age. Bravo 👏 👏 👏
@@x1achilles99 that's a mighty lot, seen from the perspective of a small Middle European country as mine. 10 times our current population. Where are you writing from?
Rescue is hard in every way. I worked at a wildlife rescue, mostly howler monkeys, in Costa Rica for a few years. I think I had my heart broken a thousand times but it also made me smile just as much. I will never forget any of our rescues. They all have a piece of my heart. Best wishes!
There are rescues out there that have up to 200-300 dogs or cats (legal limit). That is not hoarding. It is rescue. Some people just don't get that. And with the dogs able to be inside they get a since of what a "home life" really is vice being stuck in a kennel all their life until they are adopted or put down for over crowding. I have 9 rescue dogs and 11 buried on our other acre from rescue over the last 30 years. I fully understand where you are coming from and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Without people like you these babies would be on the streets or dead. Thank you and God bless! P.S. I want a few nanny goats too.
Thank you from a 23 years rescuer. This brings tears to my eyes. I'm a 75 yr old female and don't get to rescuer as much as I used to. But i won't stop cuz i want what ever i have before i pass will go to a good rescue in my Will and my current rescued babies. GODSLOVE TO ALL FOR ETERNITY.
Lee is living my dream. I have four rescues (I have rescued and rehomed many other dogs), but I lost my job in 2020, I’m alone and I’m getting old. I worry about keeping a roof over the dogs heads for the rest of their lives. I would have loved to have many more dogs (and other animals), but I don’t have the income. So I think it’s awesome Lee has been able to manifest his sanctuary. These animals are truly blessed and Lee is the embodiment of love and compassion. The worlds a better place because of this gentleman.
@@veganc5028 I commend you on your life's choice and spiritual journey. But I don't think that it is appropriate to point blank Tell someone what they should do, to live according to your values. It would be like someone saying to a stranger what religion they should practice such as: "If you truly love and wish for peace on earth, then live as a Buddhist." See what I mean? Especially if someone hasn't Asked for directions, and an older person, and someone who you really don't Know other than from a teeny amount of details that they posted in a comment on the Internet. Your comment, despite being a truthful fact, comes across as being judgemental and may instill guilt and shame in a person who can not embrace "then live vegan", which is Your value. And I know that is Not who you want to come across as. So I suggest maybe restyling your message, something like "Did you know that the demand for animal products is lessened by 200 animals a year by people who are practicing a vegan diet and lifestyle? I will be glad to provide you with a link or two with basic information if you or someone you know is considering learning more about it.😁" Something like that which might intrigue their interest. Remember, our messages are all in" The Delivery" in How they are conveyed to be effective. We can essentially say Anything, as long as the delivery isn't offensive causing the recipient to become defensive. I hope that I have not offended you with my message, it's always the chance one takes when communicating with "strangers in cyberspace" But I am a tough old broad who learned many years ago that "Life is not a popularity contest, you'll never please them all" and I remain strong enough to continue to take chances, hoping I can help another now and then with what I have learned over 7 decades. May many blessings be bestowed upon you, you seem to be "on the right path" in this world that we live in as spiritual beings having very human experiences.🙏🧓
Emotionally you take care of so many others, and you do it well. That being said, are you taking care of YOU as well? First rule of caregiving . . . . . Take care of you, find where/how to recharge your batteries and GET/don't be afraid ta ask.
What I like about Lee , is his way of introducing the new dog, to the group. He explained the routine.. you can see it work. Each dog gets the attention they want. When they ask for it.
Oh hunny! As as family of people who only adopt, a sister of someone who became a pilot to rescue animals, an animal control officer, a shelter worker, you’ve got to keep your eye on the prize! Keep saving these babies lives💙
oh my lord why would ANYONE question why you moved from the small house to the huge, beautiful acres and acres of land where they could run free, swim and have room for more animals? It's not even a question... it always made sense for most of us! Good Job Lee and keep up the great work... I wish I could work for you, it would be a dream job!
That river in the forest was absolutely beautiful! When I found out you were moving the sanctuary I was like “why?! That forest is way too magical for the dogs to leave it!” but now I understand that the cons of the old sanctuary simply outweighed the pros.
I would love to give Lee a Big Hug cause he is the sweetest man I have ever seen! And may God bless him and his family and fur babies always!!!!!!!👵💝🐶🐱🐐🐑
After a pet passes, everything, every little thing, reminds you of them. Changing your environment helps. Can't wait to see the new place, Lee. I love how you follow your heart, your instincts, and your soul.
Our daughter rescues all her pets, as do my husband and I. She has 6 dogs and 8 cats. She rehomes her kitties and they all send her update pics. The only request she gives the adopters is, the cats have to be indoor cats, and be fixed. All her adopters have complied. Thank you for all you do Lee. You are a great inspiration.
Don't have regrets, all your dogs wouldn't be here today with you if you hadn't saved them and they no doubt saved you, thank you for all the wonderful work you and your team and all the rescuer's who have been with you on this wonderful journey, you have a beautiful heart ❤️ 🐶🐾🙏❤️
My brother helps to run a Boxer rescue. He hopes one day to get more land to expand because of the number of dogs who are abandoned or in a kill shelter. Thank you for what you do. It’s a difficult job.
We recuse Boxers too ! Love all kinds of animals but once a boxer mama always a boxer mama. Loves of my life! If we could do what Lee does what a wonderful world it would be. Keep up the incredible work. So many need love and a good home!
@@pattyleovic8041 yes Patty I just love boxers. We lost our boxer of the year ago after 12 years. It's very hard to get over that. They are so comical and so special
Yes! I was also wondering But the River?! I thought I’d really have a difficult time leaving such a beautiful gift but now I completely understand the process and situation. I have to say it baffled me since I knew how much Lee loved that river but I’m glad he was able to let go and find another place to nourish his Soul and Rescue Family. Hope you’re doing well and enjoying the Autumn season! Take Care 🍁🫶🏼
🇨🇦 WoW! 240 acres of Freedom with greenery, trees🌳, hills, sand and a lake where yous can all live, grow and heal and hopefully feel really good. Very happy for everyone ❤keep up the great work Lee and Team, I Love all the Animals Dearly xoxo ❤🐕🐾
I so much love you to bits for being "YOU". I realized today that I think I'm addicted to your stories, adventures etc. 9 out of 10 of your videos make me cry (admitting I cry easy) for joy AND/or sadness. I'm in a void numb space right now, and you make me "feel". You Crack my heart open through your down moments, only to fill and heal it again with joy when good things happen, or watching your fur family be so happy. You're kind of like a relative to me.... I cut off all my real ones years ago except my adult children who all live far away. I know this is virtual, but to me, you're about as close to any person that I would choose to care about... and I'm so glad I found your channel. ❌⭕❌⭕'s
Sorry to hear you are in that place. I know it well and it's grasp is firm. Pile up your good things and I have faith you will find a rope to climb your way out. Best wishes and much love from a stranger. ❤️
All I gotta say is.... Damn Lee, you are such an amazing soul. These pupper and Cats and Kittens are so freaking lucky to have you. You are such an Angel to these babies. You know the saying... Not all heroes wear capes?? Well Lee you have a cape for every single animal you have saved. You are so bloody amazing. I give you so many Kudos for all that you have done and will continue to do. You my friend are an Angel 😇 💗 XOXO. Love from Kelowna BC Canada 🇨🇦 XOXO
Your journey is Gods journey. The river you spoke about and the earth is Gods country. You are living for the Dogs. Turn Dogs around and you will have God. Gotta Love Lee.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
The animal rescue arena is truly one of the most emotionally rewarding and traumatizing arenas. But for some of us we have to be involved anyway. The toll can be heavier than we realize though so remember to be good to yourself all along the way, whatever that takes because they need us and we need them. Love you man. 💞🐾💞
Praying, wishing and hoping for success in all of your endeavors Lee ! You're the Earth Angel these beautiful creatures need and have been waiting for. Godspeed dear friend and good health to you !!! ❤❤❤❤❤
Lee, We all have regrets & mistakes. Don't let them bring you down. You are serving the Lord in homing the abandoned, neglected, & wounded animals. Not just dogs, but all types of critters. GOD BLESS you & the dreams for the lives you touch. Learn from the mistakes & grow in that learning.
I'm so very Proud, Happy, and Thankful for you Lee - I wish you and all your furbuddies much success in your new homes and new location - hopefully its closer to the grocery and feed stores and the vet. You're in my thoughts and prayers Lee - thanks so very much for all you do for animals - You're an Angel and I Love You - take care of yourself - Can't wait to see a video of your New Home - Love and Blessings Always ❤❤😊😊💖💖
Tears are nothing to be ashamed of...it only made me feel your pain...tears are about sharing what you learned...what you shared today...we all learn thru our tears and our experiences. You are an amazing man. You figured it out. I'm 72 this winter and I'm still figuring stuff out. You shared a amazing bit of learing today! WELCOME TO OREGON!!
I'm so glad you all got a bigger place. I'm so happy you do what you do. Also farm animals too because they 're on work horses, cows, donkeys..Im so happy you do for them too and other animals. You just are my hero. I admire you so much. You uplift us all. Blessings too! Also we appreciate your openness and telling us your feelings or things you are dealing with. You don't have to or owe us an explanation. Thank you again for sharing it all. Blessings and much love to you and all of your fur babies big and small.
I thank you for the work you do in rescuing animals and giving them the best place they can possibly be. All The best in everything and blessings to you all ❤.
I understand completely your mindset. In rescue, we experience a lot of loss and sadness. Happiness, too, of course. But you are right, you have to be in the right place. Your feelings around the river, I can relate as well. But most of all, thank you for loving the animals. ❤️
Beautiful dogs, you sure do put them before yourself, Admirable of you, Pity there’s not a lot more like you, keep that love going you’ll get heaps back in return ! Thanks. ❤
You have nothing to feel guilty for Lee. You go, carry on loving all your animals and working with your team and build the up the new Asher House. I hope you find another place that's special XXX
Lee, people have left comments on how you can improve cashflow and have addition help to do the chores. What a great community you have built, Lee! Don't look back! (except to hold on special memories)
I love the work you do. The dogs are very happy, their tails are always wagging. I'm positive that all of your animals feel happy and loved. You made a good decision that was in the best interest of all the animals.
Of course mistakes happen, look what you are accomplishing. More will undoubtedly happen over the years, but you got this. You and your team will prevail ☮️🌈👍
Hello! I just love the kindness you show these precious beautiful creatures. All animals, birds etc deserve the best lives we can give them. I truly wish I lived closer to you.I would love to help. All I've ever done is care for as many animals as I can.. I also would love to open a sanctuary .I just don't have the property to do so. You are truly a Earth Angel 😇 Love from Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦 🐱🦊🐮🐷🐹🐰🐾💖
I completely understand where you are coming from. I lived in Estacada for over 2 years & it is pretty remote. It’s absolutely gorgeous, but everything you said in this video is 100% spot on. Please give yourself some grace though, Lee. You have accomplished so much in such a short period of time. I hope you are able to work through the pain & focus on all of the love that surrounds you because of all of the love that you give. ❤
Home is where the heart is, as they say. Your home will always be where you can best care for your family of furry children. That lake is wonderful for your family...and beautiful.
Oh wow, I just realized when you said Estacada, that your old sanctuary is nearby me. I’ve been seeing a lot of your videos and love what you do for the animals. Had no clue y’all were so close. Good luck with your new place. Sounds like the best choice for you all.
Onwards and upwards Lee. Making mistakes is how we learn. Don't beat yourself up about it. Like you said, everything that's happened has brought you to where you are now, exactly where you're supposed to be. Much love n respect Sir. 🙏 ❤🐕🐄🦙🐷🦜
Dear Lee, I am German and I can't express myself in english like I would... so only I can say you are one of the great man on this earth.. and you choose helping animals... as of today animals still have a low lobby... may God always whatch over you and all the beautyfull animals and helpers 😊❤❤❤
‘Live and learn’ they say. It’s true. You are a visionary, Lee, and the road will have it’s twists and turns. You found another beautiful space for you and your animals. I’m so happy for you! When are we going to see your dad again? He is so proud of you as are we. Love from Canada ❤🇨🇦
Just found you station, we are in Fiji, normal guy we have 6 dogs feed 4 more each day that live next door and on the streets, with 15 cats, its so nice to see a good heart on this platform. Thanks for the videos
A change is as good as a holiday!!! You moved from good to way better!!Congrats on ur new big sanctuary....your vision undoubtedly the right one!!! GO LEE...You have the support of thousands!! ❤❤❤❤
Lee Asher thank you for what you do. I watch your videos and it always seemed to me that you were living this magical fun life not realizing you were putting on your best face for us. When I think it through I now understand that what you do is very hard work and can be emotionally taxing. Just like a farmer you have a 24/7-365 job literally. My wife and I live in a small apartment in Manhattan and we both work full time. We have one dog and she got diagnosed with kushings disease around two years ago. She was five at the time. We struggle with the amount of money it takes to take care of her and the responsibility and time etc etc. But when I look at you I feel stupid. I can’t imagine how busy you must be. You are an inspiration to all of us. Please know that whenever you feel sadness or disappointment or doubt or even anger. Please know that what you do is God’s work. You have become bigger than yourself Lee and I know you will rise to the occasion and do greater things because I believe in you.
You have such a big heart, Lee! Of course, the loss of any animal is very hard to bear. How much we love them becomes the scale of our grief when they leave us. I lost my cat Wilson after 18 1/2 years, and he passed on my birthday weekend 2 years ago. The love and the pain have diminished only slightly, so I try to offset it with the happy memories and the joy he brought to me. I am glad that you are choosing to continue the dream, and I'm very happy about the new sanctuary! No, it's not easy, that's why the successes are so great. Hang in there, Lee, we will all help any way we can. ♥
You are so humbled. Don't apologize for making mistakes thats how you learn to move forward. You're animals dont judge you but love you unconditionally. ❤ Your are amazing
God bless you and your staff. You've worked hard for all that you have and give to the animals. You will have many beautiful memories in the new sanctuary. Just enjoy and watch after all the babies.
My favourite saying is "Home is not a place, it's a feeling". I'm sure that you will create more happy memories and discover Happy Places at the new property soon enough 😁👍. I so hope you do open up for visits/tours. I would Love to see it in person, I'm sure the video posts don't do it justice.💖
You do have to keep in mind the space that's needed for pets. Safety, well being. And consider who your neighbors are. Great choice on moving. Nature provides the best mental health, at least for me it does.
Lee, you have an such a gift with animals. You take broken, abused, abandoned and sad animals and you help them heal their trauma and bring them back to life, by making a pack. The love and care that you give your animals is amazing. You have a gift. Mad respect. 😽🐶
