Hi, all! Thank you for the love! 🤍 I’m blessed to know that this video still resonates in your spirits. I sang this nearly 10 years ago at a state Baptist convention in Dublin, GA. I’m a Behavioral Therapist now in California. I don’t sing as much as I used to, but God is still good, and continues to show himself in my life daily. Be blessed great people. 🤍

Amen...suddenly, I am 5 years old leaning across my grandmother's lap while granddaddy kneeled with the deacons.

When she said "It ain't no harm to moan and "It's getting late in the evening" It was ALL OVA for me. Praise God!!!!!!

I am not religious, nor am I African American, but I could sit there and listen to this all day, truly amazing.

That moan gave me chills...YES LORD !!!

Reminds me of when the Deacons use have the chairs lined across the alter and do devotion. Then that one deacon would knell and pray. Now we have praise and worship where a praise team sings all the new stuff. I have nothing against it. I'm just remembering my childhood back in the 90's

My God! This hymn is a soul-stirrer. If you don't feel something after hearing this hymn, I'm not sure what it will take for you to do so!

When I was younger the power in these types of hymn would creep me out but now I find comfort in them.

This reminds of my childhood in the 70's, visiting my grandmother in SC at the church in the woods with no organ and no instruments. Just foot stomping and clapping making the beat. My great grandfather was a deacon and I remember him kneeling and praying and singing. They held revival meetings 6 weeks out of the summer and my cousins and I enjoyed every minute of it. Sometimes my grandmother would stay back at the house and we would still go. Us kids would come back home and sit on the back porch and have our own little service, singing the songs that we had learned. RIP Grandmother and Thank You

In from a small town in Georgia with a population of about 5,000 people. My uncle Bobby would sing this before praying at Mt. Pleasant. My God, My God.....let's have Church. This beautiful young lady brought back memories, she did that. Give God ALL THE GLORY!!!!!

All I know is...This young lady...like when I hear her I see a vision of..when she was 2, 3 and 4 years old telling her grandmother..Maw Maw I wanna sing like that..like how i see Paw Paw do every Sunday. Bc, see they know this baby was still a child and still like to play etc..but when comes to the Lord.. 🙏 ..and listened to every word Studied it for a good while,.got it down pat.. She had let Moma and Grandma and PawvPaw hear her at 🏡..telling her " Allright now, if you wanna sing this and anything else? You gon have to kean it and DO it..this sing nothin to play wit..And so she Did! Now look at her. -Train upna child in the way he/ she should go.." in the admonition of the Lord 🙏

It's not a Sunday morning church service without "A Charge To Keep..." I know you know what I mean... lol

The church today has strayed away from hymns

This is amazing. I grew up in a church that lined hymns and in my 40+ years I've never seen a woman do it. It was always the older deacons (who were all men). This young lady did a great job!

This is definitely a powerful song and the delivery is excellent it saddens me that this one on one worship with the Lord seems to be fading away God bless you little sister in Christ.

praise Jesus. Now young people you all got to know these old songs now. Nothing wrong with some of the New stuff but don't forget your roots.

The men behind her are in awe because in the south, usually the deacons lead this hymn and it holds so much power. So their minds are blown that such a young woman can sing this so powerfully.

Don't even know the little sista an I'm years late but I feel as proud as the brothas in the background...nothing more special to see the youth praising God and paying homage to the old style of the real church...I hope she doing even better and keep it going

Reminds me of Spring Grove Baptist church when the Late Rev. Tommy Scott was the leader and my grandmother would take her radio in, plug it up and record the entire service from start to finish and hymns were song just like this!! GAVE ME CHILLS!!

This is they did it at my family church.Trinity Baptist Church, Tignall ,Georgia. Windows open and wooden floors and deacons praying. Moved your soul. Grandma rocking and moaning. Miss those days. Memories I will cherish forever

Indeed, this is how our people "got over" all the sadness and disappointments in their lives, and sang their souls to HEAVEN! :-)

I hope that songs like this will never be for gotten , these type of songs is what i grew up listing too, and help made me the man that I am.

Sigh, Lord I miss the olden days...I can still hear them saints that have gone on to glory from Bethel AME Church - Pompano Beach, FL singing this in night prayer meeting. They'd sing or line a hymn and then kneel at the altar and send up some timber (prayers) like you never before, the walls would be filled with so much PRAISE until it seems like they were shaking (is just like fire)!! This is fading fast in the modern church, along with many of our traditions. And to say that we shouldn't look forward to new things but, lest we forget...and I'll just leave that right there. Y'all church folk know what I'm talking about when I say that lol.

This reminds me of my childhood church Union Baptist Church in Brooklyn, NY with Reverend A.A. Woods.. We had some great times in that Church, GOD IS GOOD,,,,,

This sent chills down my spine ! I remember this type of praise and worship back in the 80's and 90's....Tryde Stone Missionary Baptist Church...Cincinnati , Ohio.The late Overseer Anderson Culbreth was a true man of God and kept the old ways alive and well in the house of the Lord. The deacons led it through prayer and the congregation followed. When this happened the atmosphere was set for the Holy Spirit to come in and take charge. Church would last 3 or 4 hours easily lol. Lives were being changed and souls were being saved. Those were the days when church was church. It's been 20 years since I've heard praise and worship the old way. This new stuff doesn't move me at all. It's up to us to keep the old ways alive...

It's not about the "Old Song" but having a personal relationship with the Lord and dying to YOUR will, Because flesh has an ability but an ability that is flawed that's why we are to walk in the spirit and not our flesh! This song has a purpose and meaning just like any other song either NEW OR OLD BUT!!! THANK YOU JESUS! It's not what goes in a man that defiles him BUT what comes out Because Out of the mouth comes the abundance of the heart. That's why we are to guard our hearts with all diligence because out of it flows the issues of life! So let US not get so caught up in OLD VERSES NEW because it brings division in the Body of Christ but God said you shall know them by the fruits that they bare! Lets put down our righteousness for Gods. Clean us God, our minds, and hearts of what WE think!!! and perceived we wont the mind of Christ, for you said, it was for us to be ye transformed by the renewing of our minds, and YOU said we must eat you to become YOU! EVERY TIME I watch this video or hear this song it reminds me that the prayers of my parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents and church families kept me. Even today I'm reminded it's my responsibility to pray to the ancestors and most high for others as those who have done it for me.

Those ministers on stage... my Father Rev. Theodore. Pastor of 2 churches. But also Pastor of his lifelong church. The Rice Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Dublin GA, has conducted revivals for at least 2..Rev. Moore. The heavy set one. Who has gone on to glory as well..Holly Springs Baptist Church, East Dublin.....My parents were active members of this order. At his death he was the President of the Minister's Union. My God Please Move, and SPARE HER LIFE, JUST A LITTLE WHILE LONGER..
