Thanks for these videos I think they are great you give us lots of good information. I was a avid rail enthusiast in the 1980s and am from Sheffield but spent 11 years living in Nottingham so the places you walk and visit are known to me as I worked lots in this area Thanks again. Look forward to been alerted to any new videos you put out 👍😊

Excellent video as I live in Kings Clipstone and have walked most of these paths. I was a little surprised that you didn’t include Archway House.

At around 28 minutes of the video you are walking past it on your left. No sign of it in your video but you can’t have kidded it, it’s a very distinctive building.

My ancestral research shows that Clipstone Castle was at 1 time deep in the woods and was used as a hunting lodge and then expanded to be the locale for Royals to hold courts, and also get in some hunting on the various trips made to the castle. Sir William Foljambe was an ancestor of mine dating back to the 1300s. When our ancestral ship captain arrived in New England in the 1600's, he modernized the spelling of his name to become Fulgham. Of course the original name still exists in the UK today with one Lord Foljambe, currently holding office in the house of Lords

Lovely walk and as always a great production, very enjoyable. The bridge architecture and type of brick used reminded me of structures on the old Great central line through Nottingham and Leicester. Many thanks.

Another great video; the bit with the ducks certainly raised my spirits! Do you know if the winding wheels at Clipstone still turn when the wind's in the right direction? Thanks for brightening up the lock-down, and keep safe and well.
