Welcome back Citizens, CMDRs, scalawags, ruffians, carebears, and the like!
Here we are in the third Episode of our adventures with The Mongrel Auxiliaries.
And it's a doozie.
In this Episode we try some 'Alternative Tactics'.
Meaning tactics that might not have been popular in the past, or maybe even in the future, but we wanted to try them.
So we decided to stick a Kruger Merlin Snub Fighter in the back of an ALL Ballistic (even the turrets) Drake Corsair!
Why? Because we are hunting whales, as a Crew! Meaning BIG ships.
Here are some reasons why we used this setup today:
1. The Corsair has absolutely devastating DPS and super low TTK (times to kill) against big targets like C2s and Reclaimers.
2. It is a decent prize ship.
3. With only two of us, we can stay together, instead of dealing with differing Quantum speeds, and this gives us options as we enter and exit a location.
4. The Merlin makes an excellent 'Stealth Scout' with its weapons and shields turned off, which we can quickly 'recover' and move on together under high speed Quantum (with an XL-1 Quantum Drive) to the next hunting ground.
5. Because it's fucking COOL.

As the name implies, The Mongrel Auxiliaries is an Auxiliary of the main group, Mongrel Squad, the most prolific piracy organization in Star Citizen, and is used as a more 'casual' group of like minded pirates that can be called upon to join the fight, and answer the call, if need be. And in some cases, for more serious and dedicated players that distinguish themselves through skill and an appetite and aptitude for PvP piracy done well, rise through the ranks to join Mongrel Squad.
