Aye bro can't win them all. Bills are only going to get better with Allen, y'all have a good, young, HUNGRY team right now. As a Titans fan I hope we DON'T see y'all in the playoffs next year but I hope y'all make it lol. Tbh y'all would of gave a better game in the SB imo. Chiefs just had too much on their plate
This is like the only play we Titans fans have to look back on, but it's a damn good one. Y'all will be back next season will Allen without a doubt. Scary team y'all have.
yea that was way worse Titans fans 23 years later can still crystal clear see Mike Jones stopping Dyson on the 1 yard line greatest defensive play in Superbowl History @@JoeBoone82
Lorenzo Neal deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. Greatest fullback ever. Produced more 1000 yard rushers then any other fullback. Eddie George, Tomlinson, Lewis, and Dillon.
Why you gotta do the Bills like this?! If Buffalo loses this weekend, you can point to this video as putting the jinx on them...or start of a conspiracy.
@@Rambro91 No, open your eyes man. The Ball was half a yard in front of the big line when thrown and on the line when catched. Ball moved lateral or slightly backwards.
@@Rambro91 the ball is about half a yard in front of the yard marker to start and right on the line or only a few inches in front when Dyson catches it. Not "a yard or two"
5:33 is the definitive shot; you can see the ball is about a foot over the 25 when Wycheck lets it go, and about six inches over the 25 when Dyson catches it. So it's legit.
To all those who say that it was a forward pass... ...the announcers *first* thought that it was a forward pass while seeing it live, but after looking at replay (the same ones the official looked at), they realized it was a lateral. *Take note that one of the announcers of that game, Paul McGuire, is a former Bills player, and he was convinced during the broadcast through replay, that it was, in fact, a lateral. Checkmate.
Bills Bros, y'all have the comeback, we have the miracle. Honestly surprised there isn't a little rivalry between us. Well wishes on next season. Y'all easily have one of the most well balanced teams with maybe a couple holes here and there. Bills gonna be scary for years to come. Bills-Titans in the AFCCG next season. Calling it now.
To all the salty bills fans, he threw the ball while he was on the line, and when the ball was caught, he also had a foot on the line making the play a legal lateral
@@DaBoss333 you live in an alternate reality too then, must be the Mandela Effect or somethin, that would also explain how all the Trumptards watched their boomer friends storm the capitol and confused them as being Gen Z Antifa members in disguise lol, as for this play though home clearly passes the ball from BEHIND the yard marker and it gets caught in FRONT of it so if things were different in your timeline then you better go watch the video here in this timeline cause it clearly shows that happening as I described it and we all saw it when it happened
It doesn’t even matter where Dyson’s foot is. All that matter was where the ball was at when he caught it and it was clearly just behind the plain that the ball was thrown. If you watch, the line judge immediately signals that it was a lateral while the play was going on.
I remember watching this game with friends. Before the kickoff I remember saying that the Bills should just kick it through the end zone and play defense. The Titans had less than 20 seconds and the Bills defense had played well all game.
This play probably stopped the Jacksonville Jaguars from going to the Super Bowl, the Jaguars at that time were a very good team ,like 14-2 ,but the one team they could not beat were the Titans
I know this is about the music city miracle but everytime i see that superbowl pass i remember wychek being wide about. Mcnair had said thru out the season the first person and last person he looked for on virtual every passing play was Frank.
Almost forgot phil luckett , the coin toss guy on thanksgiving with steelers lions and gave vinny a td for the jets when he was short and this ontop of it yikes
kc / bills brought me here ... and on the day that Wycheck died. Some reason _ that is troubling me ps: I'm in Buffalo - but calling it like I see it, forw lateral... so close, but that is what makes sports so much fun
I was THERE! A girlfriend & I were braving the frigid cold temps and reused to leave with 30 seconds on the clock. One of my favorite days! I remember Jevon “The Freak” Kearse on the Jumbotron: “Don’t NOBODY come up into OUR house and kick US around!” Beautiful.
@@howardhart2389 For myself, I am a Rams fan, so I was only biased for the NFC Championship game. For this game, I was an unbiased observer, and this was 100% a lateral.
5:33 is the best camera angle for the play. In the live broadcast its the one they all realized it was a lateral. And on one of the ESPN docs of the play had a better breakdown of how it was a lateral.
Im a fan of neither, but it didn't go forward. When he releases it the ball it is about 2 ft past the line and when the receiver catches it it is probably a foot and a half past the line. It just looks forward at first because when he throws the ball he is one side of the line and when the receiver catches it he is in front of the line. But the only thing that matters is the line that the ball travels, which is not forward at all. Just bitter Bills fans that think otherwise
@@mikea1989 perfect analogy. If you watch the live broadcast of the play they show an angle that clearly shows it was a lateral. Bills fans i feel have to call it a forward pass because its easier than admitting the Bills let themselves get beat at that moment
@@mitchlesinski7803 🤣🤣🤣 he said the the Ravens. We beat them last year and this year. They finally got a win over us I. But they didn't beat us like we did last play off. But they did win. But Baltimore Ravens is not our nightmare team
Team YNE....You're absolutely right, it's clearly an illegal forward lateral. I grew up a Steelers fan as a little kid, and as much respect as I had for the Houston Oilers.....the titans have never been more than an expansion team thanks to Bud Adams. He spitefully neglected a fiercely loyal city in Houston to move the team to a non-market college town with a make-believe fan base.
Nope you're blind. Watch where the ball is when it's thrown. Not where the dudes legs are. The ball is half a yard past the line and gets caught even closer to said line.
forward pass.. one of the many heartbreaking things about being a Buffalo sports fan.. along with Wide Right and the skate in the crease during the Stanley Cup finals. I hope our fortunes are changing
Look at where the ball itself was, not where Wycheck and Dyson were. The ball when thrown was at the 25 3/4 yard line and when caught was at the 25 1/4 yard line. Backward.
around the 5:33 mark, you can easily see the pass was exactly how the ref described it: "It looked straight across, or maybe very slightly backwards"...... which is exactly what it looks like. I have no idea what YOU'RE looking at. There was NOTHING that showed this pass being forward AT ALL.... how the heck can you expect them to overturn it?
@@j.a.greene3523 you have a weird definition of a lateral, most people only consider passes to be a lateral when the ball doesn't travel forward like it did in the Music City Steal-acle
