Thankyou for the lovely video of London's Christmas highlights that you've put together so well and so knowledgeably! While I hold a British passport and feel English in many ways (also German and mostly Swiss but heyho, 3rd culture kid here!!), my family is from the Midlands and the north, so I have only actually been to London half a dozen times in my life and it's been 20 years since the last short visit to the city. These days I feel too old for all the commotion, people and bustle, least of all at Christmas, and I have been very put off the UK since my last visit there in 2019 for a variety of reasons, perhaps I am too nostalgic. But a video like yours makes me appreciate the pretty bits, the history and the cultural highlights I, too, celebrate and gives me the best of it in compact form. One day I probably will go back, as I'd love to go round all the museums, and of course I will go north and visit my remaining family and friends from my misspent youth lol but for now, this was great. A Swiss-American friend of mine took a ride out to Loop and was sadly disappointed by the shop, so I hope your experience was more positive and look forward to you talking about your acquisitions! :o

OMG! How I found my way to your video here, I have no clue. I was alone this Christmas for the first time. Only meaning not with either of my children and their families. I live with my brother now due to being disabled to work anymore. Back to your video. You warmed my heart here in Dallas, TX, USA, which we can often wear shorts thru the Christmas season. This year has not been that cold until a couple days ago. Now we in Texas do have snow, but not often, but from the looks, we may get some flakes that stick around a couple hours before melting. Big Artic storm headed towards us. Again, your video, your voice over after the fact, was mesmerizing. You took me on one of the greatest vicarious vacations I could ask for. You new just where every little place to go. The huge tree, all the lights oh my gosh were breathtaking. I so love history, loved hearing you tell your daughter about King Henry the VII's wives and the two lost Princes. I so love British History, love the Queen and the new Prince & Princess of Wales. I just wanted to say thanks for the best days spent in a city you also Love as much as I do. I still want to see it in person, never fear, I had the next best thing. Good luck to you and your daughter if you believe in it. If not, my apologies for offending your beliefs.🎉🎉🎉😮😮😮😊😊😊😊❤

We decided to experience a different Christmas holiday as well. We went to New York City. It was wonderful and exhausting. Then on Christmas Eve we drove to our son’s home in Washington DC and had a delicious Christmas dinner at the lovely French restaurant Le Diplomate.

I loved the Fortnum and Mason store with the advent calendar on the facade, the passage, the lights, Loops ( I have to remember that yarn store when I visit London next time..), the Savoy!
