It's like the Creature from the Black Lagoon, if it was killed by water. Amazing. Reminds me of a lot of sci-fi, in which an evil corporation spends hundreds of millions of dollars engineering a creature over more than a decade, and it can be instantly killed with a $200 shotgun. Maximum effort for minimum results. If it's not better than what we already have, then what's the point? As soon as I saw that gun, I knew it would shoot lasers, even though it claimed it fired "1,000 rounds per minute." Poor Dave.

The late David Gale who sadly passed shortly after this was great in it, he seemed to have a lot of fun. The whole Robocop-y satirical bad-coporation vibe made me almost say it’s kinda good. But well, ALMOST. Great selection in movies, keep it up. :) Its fun to see others suffer through the same ordeals and also discover new SBIG films.

"It does, you've dont it!? Ohhh..." 🤣 Also, I had a friend way back in teh day whos mother had a room not unlike the one covered in the blue fabric. For a brief time in the late 80's, there was this really bad monochromatic vibe happening, where everything was the same color, same pattern, same, same, same. You see it a lot in RV's from the era too. I remember the application of the fabric to the walls was basically the same as wallpaper, but used some special glue, almost like a decoupage, that would seal the fabric, making almost like a canvas. I remember his mome telling us not to tough the walls, because if you did, it would leave a hand oil stain, and it was really difficult to clean. So it looked dingy around every light switch, and next to every door knob, from incidental touches. As for the thing in the corner. That is a formal Dining Room built in China Hutch. There should be two of them, one on each corner at (what used to be) the head of the room. This was pretty common on larger homes built around the turn of the century, up to about the early 50's, where the style changed to more quickly built ranch style homes with basic walls and box cabinets, rather than built ins. This one appears to have been modified with the interior curtains and extra trim around the outside, and then painted over during the remodel to turn that area into a modern living room, making it a storage space, or maybe even an entertainment center for a TV. Its the crappy latex interior house paint over the likely oil stained wood, that is probably applied with a brush way too thick to allow the doors to fully close. Hence why they are propped open. I have no idea why the actual fuck i just typed all of that, no one fucking cares. Enjoy Narnia.

So the new "weapon system" which I guess is... sort of... what "Syngenor" is (defense contractors have cooler names for stuff irl c'mon), is a scary monsterman that can barely move? This is going to replace regular guys with rifles? Guys that move a lot faster and can shoot that thing 1000 times before it can get to them? That's a really great idea. The "thousand rounds a second" (WHAT?) gun kind of shows how dumb this idea is. Edit: in before people saying they can't even get rained on. I just got there... I love these things. I'll take 1. I remember this on VHS. It starts mental then degenerates from there. I get the feeling the writers were trying (or were forced) to combine Robocop and Hardware into one . If you’re looking for another movie with David Gale chewing the scene I suggest The Guyver for me personally that film is so bad it’s good. It even had a sequel which my opinion I think is just a good movie. I hope in the future you’ll get to watch those as well.

I see you have Guyver 1 & 2 in your list. The first one has David Gale, Michael Berryman, Jeffrey Combs, Jimmie Walker (J.J. in the old "Good Times" tv series), & Mark Hamill among others. It was co-directed by legendary effects artist "Screaming Mad George" and another effects guy, Steve Wang. And was produced by Brian Yuzna, who produced Stuart Gordon films including Re-Animator and From Beyond. The movies are based on a Japanese manga/anime and I think the second one is considered the better made of the two and is rated R unlike the pg-13 first movie. The 2nd one has David Hayter in the lead, known for voicing the lead in the "Metal Gear Solid" games and writing & co-writing the first two X-Men films and the Watchmen film. I don't think there are many "big names" in it other than him.
