The man in the Orange Hat ‪@HistoricBF‬ had tasked me with a pick up and delivery of a beautiful semaphore railroad signal. and upon delivering it to him, he treated me with a rare railroad event, as he will explain in the video. Pretty cool chase Pappy, lots of very cool spots getting that rock train. I think your phone got wet whenever they stopped for crew change, something happened to you audio for a bit. That was nice you all got to go to the drive in together 👍🏼😎🇺🇸

It was a great chase indeed, he definitely knew the spots to get it at.. and yeah by the end of it we were soaked and my phone was swimming, all the open ports were water logged.. can't be close to a drive in and not go.. 🤣🤣 it was an all around good day... glad you enjoyed it, always appreciate you watching

Loved this one buddy... Fighting the elements to get some fantastic footage from both sides of the train at several prime locations. Great coverage of the crew change and even snagged a nice Union Pacific engine on train 2. Cool to see that your support crew didn't wimp out from a few rain drops either. Outstanding work on this one !!

Man so much great footage here. Love the shot of the stone cars over the Lil tunnel bridge. And the next one of the loco coming out of the trestle. That would make a cool 8x10 photo.

Nice catch of the NS empty Rock Train especially with the crew change. Then to catch the NS manifest train that ended with Rail Cars! You definitely got some great footage from awesome locations. Nice semaphore arm you took out. I don't remember any 3 aspect ones here, they went long ago, still a lot of red green in use today. The colour light signal is nice to see too. I like how you can chase freight trains for miles, ours are too fast for that. Shame the rain got so heavy later on.

This is the first semaphore I seen in this configuration. Was a really nice peice he found.. was glad to pick it up and deliver it to him. This was a fun chase, it was under a speed restriction, made it. Bit easier to get to the next spot. I've done some fast train chases you gotta go a hundred miles to get ahead of it 🤣🤣 but still probably no where close to your train speeds.. the weather was crapppy but we didn't let that stop us. So glad you enjoyed the video, appreciate you watching

@@TriGogglin I have seen old film on here with them in use. Sure there is one still in use somewhere on one of your preserved lines, I spotted it on a video. We stopped using them, and for the same reason I guess you did, because it was hard to keep them correctly adjusted, you did not want a green light showing instead of yellow when things cooled down in the evening and operating wire contracted. Yea I was thinking you would sure have a long fast dash to get ahead of a fast freight. A lot of ours run at 60 to 75mph. Years ago our old diesel units had a max speed of 70mph and intermodals 75mph Once got overtaken by one between Thirsk and Northallerton which is the station I filmed the fast trains going through. Wish I had a video back in those days and got that recorded.

Hi ya Anthony, yeah he said it use to be a yard with a double main.. it was a good starting spot for the chase..the crew change area was cool with the wye bridge and the over head to look down on them.. glad you enjoyed the video. Appreciate you watching
