I once read a quote. "If you can't explain something in simple terms, you don't fully understand the subject you're discussing.", para-phrased. You my friend understand nodes. This is the only tutorial of many where the author truly seems to have a more than amateur understanding of nodes in davinci resolve. Thank you very much. Great Job.
Finally! The whole node business got through my thick skull :P You have a great way of explaining things, simplified but yet not watered down. If you, my good Sir, would make a training DVD (downloadable), I would totally buy it. Thank you.
I was a little resistant to click on a video made 7 years ago but this was actually super helpful and easy to understand. For now, this tutorial is all I need as a new davinci user
This is seriously the best goldmine of a Resolve-tutorial-based channel. Thank you so much for spending the time to make all of these incredibly helpful videos!
You did a great job explaining nodes! I finally get to understand them properly. Four years later and this content is still relevant and super-helpful. Thanks!
I'm watching this video 5 years later but damn this is so helpful. Your channel is a blessing for all of us who are trying to transition from Premiere. After watching your videos I finally feel like I'm starting to understand how Da Vinci actually works.
I know this video is old but I literally just found it now that I'm interested in Resolve. This video helped me a lot in understanding Nodes. That's the one thing that's been preventing me from using it. Great tutorial!!!
Thank you! Have spent about three hours on this tutorial, cross referencing with other ones, trying things out, failing, going back. Steep learning curve. :-)
Super job, Casey, thanks so much. The way they implement these nodes makes me think of software written using an object-oriented design methodology, which I think should help me to pick this up without too much pain. It looks VERY powerful!
OMG! Outside node... that's just what I've been looking for after rotoscoping someone - brilliant. And 6 years on, your tutorials are still making sense! Thank you :-)
I switched from FCPX to Resolve 16 and I have no idea whatsover how to use these nodes in Resolve and then I've found your video tutorial here on RU-vid! Now I am happy that I know how to use it from now on!. Thank you so much Casey! :) (Y)
Damn dude. I think I'm falling a bit in love. You explain things so clearly. I've been watching videos on nodes here and there and still felt lost. You just said 3 things in the first 3 minutes that are apparently fairly basic and I never heard before or caught on to what the person was doing as they zipped thru it. Love your work!
I instantly committed to watching this video and learning nodes because I saw Waipio in the first frame. Also it was a well put together lesson and you made it easy to understand. Thanks!
Thank you! Was so confused until you tapped into my premiere pro mind and described the nodes as adjustment layers. This video help a lot. Trying out Davinci Resolve 16 after years of premiere Pro and its very intimidating.
Casey! you just saved me a whole bunch of time. I literally just stayed up watching this video and the 45min resolve crash course. Resolve looks like it's a lot of fun now. Thanks a bunch man!
Now I understand why colorist are using DaVinci Resolve 😁 Thank you, it is very useful but honestly I couldn't understand anything so I saved it to watch it 10 more times later on until I get it 100%. thanks again ;)
all the different elents together in a language that is universal. I've seen plenty of DAW tutorials being new, but tNice tutorials is by far the best so
Finally understand how nodes work. I feel like they should've just used the layer structure everyone is already familiar with in other creative software...
It makes me laugh sometimes. Often I'll watch a video and nothing at all sinks in, then i save it to my watch later list intending to do some more basic research first. But then weeks later i'll watch the same video and magically now everything makes sense lol!! Cheers man!
FANtastic! THANK you for explaining this far more clearly and concisely than any tutorial I have found! What a great time saver, not to mention benefits of reducing stress. You da MAN!
TNice tutorials was super helpful, dude! I got the tutorial version of soft soft just to get a taste, and after figuring it out I decided to purchase the
Hey Casey, if you are looking for a new subject for your next tutorial, you could do a matching shot tutorial ? It's very important and I can't found an interesting tutorial about it.
