When a car is built to do one thing very Weill you get the most bad ass over built tube frame but it’s all necessary

I dont love how it sits at the rear.. I can see why people love it. But its just too far away from a hilux. But engineering wise its obviously just mindnumbingly amazing.

I like the truck I have a 99' Tacoma which looks a lot like this Hilux they, did a good job on it but I would've kept it Toyota instead of the Nissan sr20 ig because he allready had it available to him because he took it out of his s13 but I would've put a 4age silvertop or blacktop, a 1jz or a beams 3sge but its his money not mine but it's a nice build. 🤔

May seem odd with all the cool things this truck has but, How does he keep all that raw metal from rusting? Is it cleared? In Texas you'd make it 2 days tops before the moisture got to it, not to mention rinsing it off after a weekend of fun..how does all this metal go presumably untouched??

What are the advantages of running an alternator-less set up? Less parasitic load on the crank?

I like drifting, but not so much that I want to build such a barebones drift machine. I have a mid-80s Nissan truck that I plan to turn into a drift machine, but I also want it to be able to continue being used as a truck. The bed is staying and so is the cab and all the internal luxuries like power steering and AC. I am going to swap in a built 13b turbo rotary with matching transmission and do a coilover conversion on the front and back. I'm going to swap out the rear axle for a stronger one. I'm sort of torn on the power steering. I need to swap out the steering box for a rack and I kind of want it manual like my current daily beater, but not entirely sure. I'll make that decision when I get to it.

I love custom builds but there is a point where the vehicle looses its name credibility...just call it a mini truck :) as toyota needs no credit for it, most ute bodies look the same anyway
