A History of LGBT rights at the UN 

Hmm... can't help but notice that the U.S. is one of the countries listed as having banned discrimination based on orientation. As far as I'm aware, even today some states (southern) allow employers and landlords to discriminate based on orientation and sexual identity. There's still much work to be done.

The United States should NOT be included as a nation that has made discrimination against GLBTQ people illegal. It is, in fact, still 100% legal in the US to discriminate against GLBTQ people in most of the country.

People who criticize others are unaware of how much pain they themselves are experiencing. Truly happy people don't have the need to bring others down. keep in mind that everyone is fighting their own battle. Always remember to stand on your own two feet, take up ground and smile. Block out what's around you that doesn't matter or brings you down. Embrace everything in your life that makes you happy and expands your heart. You will be amazed at how much more fulfilling your day will be. You are entitled to a good day, everyday. So do it, even if it makes others upset. It's not their life... it's yours.

On 7 March 2012, a panel discussion took place at the Human Rights Council on violence and discrimination against individuals based on their sexual orientation and gender identity. The discussion, which was organized pursuant to Human Rights Council resolution 17/19, marked the first time that an inter-governmental body of the United Nations had held a formal debate on the topic. The objective of the panel was to facilitate constructive, informed and transparent dialogue on the issue of discriminatory laws and practices and acts of violence against individuals based on sexual orientation and gender identity and generate greater agreement among States on the way forward. Four panelists from different regions were invited to discuss the findings and recommendations of the report of the High Commissioner on violence and discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity (document ref. A/HRC/19/41). The panel also provided an opportunity for States to share their national experiences and examples of good practice, and to consider how the Human Rights Council can ensure that in future it is kept adequately informed about and able to respond effectively to human rights violations based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

every other country is going ahead unlike here in India they made gay sex illegal again on 11 Dec 2013 after making it legal in June 2009 😔.

This is highly inaccurate. The US federal government does not support same-gender marriage and there is no federal non-discrimination law based on sexual orientation. The US is generally regressive on this issue.

It's just a deceleration, not a law. So countries can differ on what is right and wrong. You can't impose your ideas over others or blame them for differing.
