@@dw620 Each of the examples you have given, are now a force for stability and strength, because they abandoned their indigenous systems of oriental despotism, and instead adopted more democratic and egalitarian, ie. occidental, societal norms. I daresay that if China would simply let its people have their way, and evolve in a more democratic direction, they too could be another example on your list. The CCP is afraid to let them though. It is, sadly, afraid of its own people.

Macron should tell the Chinese to take a flying leap of the Yangtze River dam until they stop supplying Russia with equipment to make weapons. The whole of Europe should do the same.

Withdrawing back to 2021 borders would depose putin if not cost him his life. Withdrawing to 2013 borders would have him being dragged thru the streets of moscow & torn to pieces. It is hardly as easy as asking putin to leave.

lots, in the past 50 years they've done more GOOD things around the world than the US has in it's entire (rounded up) 280 years. Huge difference between genuinely helping countries and invading/ destroying countries for their own gain.

As pragmatic as peace may be for China to pursue, putin's life depends on not losing much more than he has lost already. So Xi going to Moscow with a proposal isn't likely to gain much traction. UA will want a lot of land returned for peace. Putin forfeits his life giving that up.

Wrong statement, you only ever got close to the wrong Christians. Doubt any Ukrainian diplomats will read this, and I don't really blame them, but I strongly recommend throughout this peace process that Ukraine not cede territory to Russia without a guarantee that Ukraine can join NATO. Otherwise, Russia will exit the war, lick its wounds, and invade again. Any territory ceded to the enemy is territory you can't defend.

You know the situation is tough when Ukraine turns to russia's closest ally to beg for peace talks all the while China continues to supply the russian invasion through trade of dual purpose goods that avoid sanctions placed on russia. Expecting the CCP to bring peace to any conflict is like expecting a wolf to bring a lost lamb back to its mother.
