Hey Bill. Me and mine are big fans. We are saving for homestead land in Fern Forest. We plan to come shopping for land in Febuary. I wanna be like you when I grow up haha
My high school principle labeled me, most likely to fail. He would have warned you against growing up like me. It hasn't always been fun to end up this way. Aloha
Everything people invent is usually up to them what happens with it. With AI, once unleashed it will not go into the bottle on it's own. It thinks for it's self. Most of us haven't figured this put yet. We are used to being the masters of Earth.
In the beginning it was human actions that created the problem. In the long run it will be AI that calls the shots. A I stands for artificial intelligence. Intelligence does as it will. Once out of the bottle it is too late. These concerns are not just mine. Plenty of intelligent people see the same issue. People started it but may not be the ones to end it. What happens to us in the process is to be considered. Like the title says it was our "invention".
I really don't think that's possible. Intelligence testing has show a steady decline in US brain power since 2006. We seem to be getting dumber. Social media and the Smart phone are the main causes according to some studies. I go with the idea, makes sense to me. The smart phone gradually takes over the stuff we used to do with our brains and social media spins BS at a rate never seen before. At the rate people streamed to the phone and media the promise of AI will be even more attractive and imbedded in what we already do. If we go the Elon Musk route then we use a chip, merge with AI and become part of the Machine. BORG world, the smart phone is the gateway drug. We are screwed. Every generation is born into a world that seems normal to them. I've been here too long, things have gotten weird!
