As always, thanks for sharing Moxie’s garden! And don’t you ever say your ramble too much because you have so much information to share with us and I truly appreciate it
We didn’t plant much of our small seed...we have a Frost Warning for tonight. We managed to plant out our greenhouse, potatoes. Sugar Snap Peas and Bush Beans!
Dude. Your gardens are stunning. STUNNING!! I just binged all your videos on the tv so I jumped on my laptop so I could like them all, and subscribe!! I have a lot of the same plants, and I just love how you work them all together! I definitely need to up my tree and shrub game. I adore your flower bed islands/berms My beds are only along the fences. So much inspiration!!
Cris A your comment is spot on! Inspired by every tour. If MG never posted again, I'd rewatch these few vids into oblivion . I too was a sideline gardener but... my Godson n the neighbor kids who play in our backyard changed my fence line only garden style they would squeeze under n try to hide behind any tall plant they could find.... so I plopped in a center garden with narrow turning paths n tall plants n grasses running thru it and a corner garden with wooden "toadstools" for sitting n hiding n giggling n picking flowers for momz! After watching this imma have the boys help me build a fence section with fake birdhouses on eo picket. Truly inspiring!!!
@@Braedenfish Yes!!! I want to copy every little area! My beds are pretty deep in some spots, and have curvy lines, but they could be so much better! Now I just have to talk my husband into letting me take up more of his grass LOL!
Thank you for starting with an overall view of the yard and garden bed before zooming in on individual plants. I really appreciate that because I like to have inspiration for landscape layout and plant combinations. Thank you also for the steady and slow camera work. This is the first video I have seen of yours. I am looking forward to watching more!
I’m a plant collector too, been gardening for a long time and relocated last year to a different town, the backyard was basically bare , only one tree on the side of a big rectangle. I planted all my favorites but still don’t have a final vision in my mind . I’m no spring chicken anymore and want everything done now but that’s not what gardening is all about, you have to have patience
You, sir are awesome and so are your gardens!! Love the surprise touches of rusty antiques! I have gardener for 45 yrs., garden on 1 acre in Oregon for last 20 years, and will enjoy a subscription to your vids!
I love the way you made a light, airy garden. Keeping the plants along that theme makes for light filtering as well which yields more color and movement. I just love it!
You're garden is amazing. I love it. You're so enthusiastic about your garden, that you'll keep on keeping on and I'll be watching for the beauty of your burgeoning skills. Exciting to see such a beautiful new gardening channel. God bless you and your beautiful garden. I'll be watching.
I started following you on Instagram and was blown away to see your yard when you first bought your house. It is unbelievable what you have done in your yard in such a short amount of time. I suggest you let people see what you started with and how it has evolved. Thanks for the inspiration!
Plant lover too. Wish I could have all those beautiful flowering plants in South Florida. Love your untraditional style and creativity. Beautiful garden. What a peaceful zen environment. keep it going.
Ended up binge watching all your videos yesterday after one of your garden tours showed up in my feed. Most gardeners do not have the ability to execute hardscape projects - what you have done is amazing and it would be sooooo expensive if you were to hire a company to do it! Btw - since yesterday I've had several friends mention your channel to me, as well as several other gardening youtubers that I follow. You are capturing people's imaginations :)
Just found your channel. I have about the same size yard/garden. I have two Dappled Willows (one bush form and the other tree shaped)! Love these and you’re the first person I’ve see who has one and incorporates it into the garden bed! They can get wild and huge if let go but also can be shaped. Now I need a Ninebark behind it to bring out the contrast! I also have to build up in one bed that is all clay & becomes a pool after heavy rain. I added builder’s sand and lots of compost and it’s working! Great tips and Beautiful landscape! I’ll be back! Choosing Joy ~ Stephanie
Your garden is absolutely amazing! I would love to see what your yard was like before you transformed it into such a magical space. I am new to gardening, but after watching your videos I am very much inspired to create something just as beautiful. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for another great tour Mike! I saw your use of old bikes and plopped an old tricycle that's been hanging around here for years into my garden area. Set a potted plant on the seat and it's looking cute instead of just taking up space in the garage. Plant on! EM in Va. 💚🌼🐝
Greetings from the UK. Whenever you trim your perennials, consider planting some of the waste, especially the cat mint, it's a very forgiving plant and easy to strike, also perennial geraniums. Happy gardening, yours is really special
First time seeing your garden. You did a great job and you also have a great passion for gardening. I just started to gardening last year. I surely agree with a lot of things you are talking about in your video. I also did many things as you mentioned such as relocating plant from one location to another. Buying plants as clearance sale. I got two beautiful knockout roses in tree forms at a super discount. They are such a showy this year. Everyone loves it. Enjoyed your tour!
You said you started this bed just last year?! It looks so established. I started a hydrangea garden last year and hauled in about 40 bags of soil to create a berm so I wouldn't have to contend with tree roots from the neighbors' 70-year-old Royal maple. They ended up having it removed, the soil settled over winter so I've already hauled about 15 cu. ft. of additional soil, the maple still thinks it's growing so I keep my reciprocating saw close. Gotta love power tools in the garden. I have rearranged some of the shrubs planted last season to make space for the new ones this year. I added lots of annuals this year, but now I think it looks cluttered. Back to the drawing board.
Drunken delphiniums that’s hanging onto their buddies!!! Kml omg!! Too funny!! I have some of those in my garden!! Clearance plants are Amazing!!! I have a few hydrangea bushes that were so thirsty and dried out!!! They are currently in what I call my plant ICU right now. 😀😷🤒🧑🏽🔬
I live in Utah but would love to smell your garden. I can see the beauty from your videos but the smell is missing. Thanks. I’m glad I found your channel.
💖 Beautiful!! 💖 Love the drone footage in the July 4th video. Now you just need some KOSHI WIND CHIMES and some color-changing solar spotlights dotted around. 😚
I love your whimsical garden features, l call it my garden jewelry! Please don’t grow vines up your gorgeous moon gate, it is a piece of art. I have an island I keep changing, yours is so pretty! I planted two Bobo hydrangeas this year, I’m so excited to see them bloom.
Loving your channel, I found you this week. So much of what you say resonates with me. You have a truly beautiful garden and you inspire mine. I have to raise my borders too for planting. And I'm wanting a central bed too but was a bit scared to do it this year, now I want to do it even more thanks for sharing your beautiful garden my friend 😀
Love your garden, that's what I call a beautiful and peaceful place. First time seen your video, and enjoyed it very much, and yes I did subscribe. Keep it going. Kim🐝
Beautiful yard! New subscriber and I've watched most of your vids. Love the creativity you have. Have you ever made a bug hotel? I am gathering materials this summer such as pinecones, old birdhouses, old logs, etc. to put one together. I want to do my part to help save the solitary bees (like mason bees), lacewings, lady bugs, all the good pollinators. There are around 4,000 different species of solitary bees in the United States. Thanks for sharing your yard and your stories, you have a great channel! God bless!
Your garden is lovely! You have a real gift for putting plants together to highlight each other by their colors and textures and sizes. I really like the way you have tucked things into your garden like surprises: the bicycle, the wheelbarrow, the rocks, the staggered height chunks of woods. You have added an amazing amount of visual impact to your space. That moon gate is a thing of beauty! What an awesome brother you have to build such a piece to go in your yard. I can’t wait to see what else you do! What zone are you? I’m in 8a, eastern NC.
Hi Jennifer, I am in Kansas zone 6a. This page is really new so I am still trying to catch a feel for filling everyone in on where I live and the basics. Thanks for watching and the kind words!!! 👍👍👍
I’m glad I found your videos, you have a gorgeous garden and the name is so sweet. You have beautiful plants and it be a good idea if you let us know the names of the plants. Thanks
Your gardens are beautiful!!!! I am so proud of you-a daddy who loves gardening is a very impressive thing... I found you today and will be watching along with my other garden shows- Garden Answer-Linda Smith Davis-Gardening with Creekside-Linda Vader ..I am going to place you in first place of all of the gardens I like to watch because your garden looks mature and you plant perennials like I do so in the fall your garden will still be beautiful just like mine is..
Gorgeous as always! Look at you... already about to hit 1000 subs! Growing quickly. I purchased the blue delphiums this year also. I got mine from Home Depot
I picked up three lavender delphiniums from Home Depot last year. They were fairly stumpy. Not so this season. They're all grown up. But now I'm waiting for them to finish blooming because I want to move them to make way for the 'Quickfire' hydrangea I bought several weeks ago that's budding out already.
Congratulations great video and beautiful garden, just joined! Very interesting! I agree textures colour and variety is the key and I like you dislike rows -soldier like unless there’s a reason! London, Ontario Canada!
Great video! The passion when you comment about the plants growing together is awesome. I totally get it! I feel that excitement when I go get my new 1/2 off plants, bring them home and nurse them back to health and plant them in the ground. Kinda a sickness I guess, but watching them grow is so rewarding. Thank you for sharing your garden. Beautiful!
✨New subbie! Gorgeous stuff, thanks for sharing 😘👌🏼 Garden blessings from Zone 7B 🌱 “The LORD bless you and keep you; The LORD make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; The LORD lift up His face on you and give you peace.” ( Numbers 6:24-26)
How do you have such clean edging? Please do a video on that. Especially with some stones and wood as part of irregular borders. Loved those delphiniums!
I’m super excited to find your channel from Jeanette with the Enthusiastic Gardeners channel. She said you were from Kansas. I’m from MO. What a lovely garden you have. That moon sculpture is awesome. I say that in a garden tour in my area. I love how you share and go over things. I’m a garden (flowers in particular - not so much vegetables 🤫🤫🤫) channel fanatic. So this channel is right up my alley. I will be checking out more of your other videos. Check out mine as well. I would love to have you join my family as well if you like. Thanks again for sharing.
Thats so awesome neighbor!!! I'm excited to share this with you. I will definitely check out your video's!!! Thanks for reaching out to me. Good Luck!!
I love your style of gardening & design - similar to my own, I wondered if you like to use lighting on an evening to highlight different areas? - if you do would you share? (it’s something else I enjoy as part of my own garden design)
I do have area's in the landscape with lighting and I have some projects in the works for more lighting! If you have time look at my video from last week "Touring The Pergola in a Backyard Oasis". Towards the end of the video I waited until dark and shared the night life here at Moxie Gardens. Thank you!!!
I love looking at your yard. You are inspiring me to do more in mine. Do you have issues with aphids or other things that damage your plants? If so, what do you use? Everything looks so good in your yard.
