Live in Puerto Rico and we also have those fruits here. The golden apple we called here "Corazon" (spanish for heart) in South America is called "Chirimoya" Passion fruit we called it "Parcha" in south America "Maracuyá".Passion fruit is good to lower blood pressure. Soursop "Guanabana" is from the same family as the Golden apple, "Anonaceas", I don't know why they called sour because when ripe they are very sweet.

Visited St. Lucia a few years ago, beautiful island and wonderful people. Lots of locally gown produce and tried many of the fruits you did. Try the bananas. Learned what a banana should really taste like!. Also went to the fish fry which was nice but there were many, many stray dogs most of which look well under nourished and in poor health. We felt really bad for them which definitely ruined the experienced. We donated to the local animal shelter before leaving the island.

I grew up in Panama and we had a soursop tree in our backyard and made ice-cream oh so good. There is a fruit we called rose apple it is dark red and very fluffy like cotton candy, good. I have not seen anyone talk about the rose apple.

From what I see so far, it looks like you are dead reckoning - compass heading and time tracking only. I doubt that's the case. I also know you do get an auto pilot somewhere around episode 130 - good move. Love the videos - I'm assuming that since you spent some time as wedding videographers, your video expertise (including editing) is beyond what most voyagers would bring on day one. Glad you reached here safely. Don't know how long you're staying but I hope you enjoy your time here. I'll be keeping my eyes open for the two of you, I live just 2 minutes from the marina so I might see you around, promise I'll give you a shout if I see you. Things should get busy in the next 2 weeks when all the Arc race boats arrive, great time of the year in the marina, it comes alive. Just telling everyone that may not know. That during a storm if you put your electronics in a microwave oven they will be protected from static electricity because a microwave oven is a faraday cage that will not let static electricity in to damage the electronics.
We actually have passion fruit growing here in Alabama, AKA maypop. You have to wait until the frost hits them and they turn yellowish green before eating them, it's very sweet but kind of sour near the seeds. Another great video guys, and I always look fwd to the next episode.
Have had custard apples before, but they are not usually eaten when the skin is green, but rather when the skin is dark. Have also had passion fruit/granadilla, also eaten when the outer skin is dark and crinkly. The apple? never heard of it before.
Soursop, the more it ripes the more it becomes sweeter. Moreover boiling its leaf & drink is one of the best natural treatment against cancer argue my grand-parents ...
OH MAN! We saw Guava Cheese while we were there and didn't try it. Maybe we can find it again. and didn't see any soursop ice cream, but we would have definitely tried it if we could find it. lol
I like to recommend a Syperco "Salt/H1" folding knife. It's small enough to carry in your pocket, and would come in handy for any boat-related chore as well as a dandy fruit cutter! LOL You won't need to rip into passion fruit any more. These knives are designed for marine environments, and will never rust. BTW, I'm not employed by Spyderco, just an avid knife guy. We must purchase them. We bought a big bag of different ones before we left on our journey. They are referred to as courtesy flags, and it’s etiquette to fly one. I don’t believe however it’s a law, to my knowledge to have to have one. It’s out of respect to the country you are visiting.
Soursop and sugar apple are too fragile to transport far. If you go to ROBERT IS HERE in homestead area FL, you CAN get them. If y’all ever find Cashew FRUIT, eat some for me.
