I loved it when she'd say, "Zeb, stop that", or "Zeb, you old fool". He only did those things and she only said those things because of their long lasting love for each other.
Best thing I could be watching on a cold night with a glass of wine oh the memories as I have 4 brothers and 3 sisters yes a family or 10 and we would all yell goodnight John boy and then go on it was hilarious and we loved it thanks fr ontario Canada
Did you know that Will actually saved Ellen's life? She had NEVER been late to the set for a rehearsal & was one morning & he insisted they go check on her when she didn't answer her phone. She had been felled by the stroke & was near death & they found her just in time. I love the (Hamner) Walton's family story & the terrific actresses & actors that brought their lives & lessons to us for posterity. 🇺🇸
I cant think of a couple on tv that i was so fond of. I loved the was grandma was so hard but melted every time Grandpa gave her a smooch. so dammed cute. I wish I had that.
Awesome very very NICE VIDEO you did a very beautiful job on this video A+(Had to played it twice in a roll) AND with an awesome song !! I love the waltons and i loved my play tv grandparents. Yes this video is so appreciative and nice it bring tears to my eyes.
wow that was fantastic! so many good scenes! Will Geer did many of those scenes spontaneously. that's why Grandma always looked truly surprised, and if you watch Olivia's reactions in some of them you can see it's true!
This is so beautiful I love the Walton's still watch them everyday and I loved grandma and grandpa Walton I used to wish that they were my family because I never had a mom or dad or family at all this is so cute thank you for this wonderful tribute to two loving people who are truly missed
I loved this. I have watched the Walton's from the beginning. They show clips so fast you don't grasp it like I did in this video. They were casted perfect in fact the look on her face that just might have been a little flirting going on.
I remember reading an article about Ellen Corby in a 1977 issue of TV Guide. Apparently, the children had invited a famous person onto the set. A person that Ellen took an immediate disliking to. In the article she says "This man walked onto our set wearing strange clothes and acting as though everybody is supposed to know him. I don't know him and don't care if I ever see him again." The person Ellen was talking about was pop superstar Elton John.
Colby and Geer were outstanding in their roles. Colby was probably the best character actresses that evey graced the screen. Actually Geer played his part as grandpa as well or better than the original in the Homecoming.
Believe it or not. These two was good friends off of the Walton set. Will Greer asked the producer and directors to come with him he's going to see why Ellen Corby wasn't at work yet. He had a feeling that something was wrong. So they went to her house and found her on the ground with a stroke. If Will and the others didn't check on her she would of died. Thats a good friend to the end.
With all due respect, I am old enough to remember this show in its original running. Please correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that Will Geer (a.k.a. the grandfather ) died before Ellen Corby (a.k.a.) the grandmother had her stroke.
They were both great classic actors. "Old woman" vs "old fool'. They played the perfect couple despite the fact they were both gay according to a documentary I saw a few months back. I was in shock! I just couldn't believe it. I didn't want to believe it!
