Very knowledgeable however, I can’t believe he said fasting for fat burning doesn’t work, fasting has changed my file, my thyroid hormone is back to normal, I no longer have brain fog, have tons of energy and have lost 20 lbs.
@cdrtej
@cdrtej Год назад
That's not what he said. Fasting has no inherently special effect, but if that controls calories for you then you'll lose weight. Just as much weight as any other method that creates the same caloric deficit.

I find it interesting that most of these interviews focus on elite athletes and how to optimize performance. This is super cool but when you consider that "elite" athletes are (generally) 30 or under, it will be interesting to see how this advice translates to an athlete's long term health as they age. Older (retired) athletes or people who may have been athletes but now they are living like the majority of the world's population would be very interesting to hear about. Not being an elite athletes or MMA fighter, I'm losing interest.

Some good points, It would be awesome if he was more open to understanding all the research there is on fasting and it’s huge benefits… and not completely shut it down so hard core. It’s not the not agreeing with it it’s de lack of even listening to what Lewis has to say of all the experts he has interviewed.

Christina: I Totally Agree! For the Majority of my Life, I carried about 30 (& Sometimes More) Excess Pounds, & was intensely aware of it, but I was unable to figure out How to get past the consistent sense of Hunger to make progress toward my Healthy Weight. THEN !! About a year ago I discovered (a rather “Aggressive” Form of) Intermittent Fasting-And my body-weight & other health-markers began to improve almost immediately, & then consistently. Before Long, I Realized that I could Literally Select my desired body-weight-Which I Did:: TO Attain & Maintain a Weight Slightly Below the International Height-Weight Chart-Number. Regarding this particular Speaker: It is a surprisingly common phenomenon that when a person believes he has attained a superior understanding in a specific direction, he will tend to distance himself from alternative viewpoints in which he has but little understanding.

It seems to me that he said for some, fasting is beneficial and that there are multiple ways to achieve a particular outcome depending on the individual. Sometimes the listener needs to keep an open mind and not only try to listen for only the argument that supports your point of view!
@chuckcolsch874
@chuckcolsch874 Год назад
@@shannonpender3777 - You could be correct: I would need to relisten to that section. I simply have personally known a Vast Number of people who have discovered the blessing of the Astounding Awareness (in Stark Contrast to the Typical American Approach) that the Daily Periods (& for some who are dealing with overweight, maybe longer periods) in which refraining from caloric consumption allows our bodies to perform their marvelous restorative functions.

I don't agree... Maybe the people didn't do what they were suppose to be doing with fasting. Yes scientist lie too. I don't like him, wait till he gets in his 60's... Nope, I like 16/8 fasting. I'm not so sure on going back to caveman day eating. If animals etc. Morphed into land mammals, lost their fins, and grow legs. We morphed too, I have some issues with that, although I believe in autophagy. I was a body builder in the 90's I ate 5 times a day. I'm now 67, and don't live in a gym, with eating disorders. I believe in the other guys.
